Booking.com markets this as 4-star. This is false as hotel manager stated this is 3 star They put me in the upper lodge, some 5 minutes walk from main lodge. It is completely UNMANNED during main and after hours. Staff at FD forgot to update my access card and at 9 PM at night, subzero temperature, would not walk to upper lodge with key card "manager is in the bathroom and i am alone now" was the answer. Had to walk 15 minutes in pitch dark and around the resort as all the shortcuts were closed just to get my access card changed because of their mistake. All of this for 400 dollars per room per night. Fourth world service

The accommodations were comfortable, perfect for a family of 6. The location was ideal. The ski in/out location made everything hassle free. We even enjoyed swimming and jacuzzi in 30 degree weather. It was a fabulous vacation.

The hotel staff were very helpful and very friendly. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. The 1 bedroom was beautiful and overllooked the mountains. We had snow, the season;s first and it was lovely sitting by the fire with a hot cup of coffee looking at the mountains and the snow. Having our own kitchen fully stocked was convenient and more than adequate. Didn't want to leave when our vacation was over. Will definitely stay here again and again.

Front office staff very non people friendly , that goes for checkin in on 10-5-12 around 4pm to check out 10-7 at 9am . The coffee area has no clear indication that there is a charge for coffee , I walked in to a non staffed area with coffe brewed and cups and after I filled my cups is when a young lady showed up and quite awkwardly said to me that the coffee was not free . I don't mind paying for it but it shouldn't be a guessing game either .

Anythings are perfect, but I'm annoyed by no wifi in the room.

The overall experience was great. Nice and cozy atmosphere, like a small village in the Alps in Europe. Nice staff, nice interiors, great views from the balcony. In addition, there is also a wide selection of movies to "hire" in the reception, funny detail!

Good location, clean facilities

We visited in Sep and the weather was still quite warm during the day. The hotel does not have air-conditioning and the room was too hot. The staff took 2 days to fix my TV and could have been more friendly.

Great location, with gorgeous lakes around and about 30 min drive from Yosemite National Park. We loved the amenities (pool, spa, DVDs) and found the kitchen in our room quite handy.

The location is amazing and the sights are spectacular well worth the visit we we're just passing through and decided to stay an extra night.

The room was nice and they had a full kitchen.

The fan was broken and it got warm at night with no air conditioning. They also charged a $19.37 tax plus $20 resort fee which brought the total charge up almost $50 per night.

The unit didn't have any ventilation or A/C and it was awfully hot in there at night. It made it hard to sleep.

The location in the mountains was great - very close to awesome hiking. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice view.

Location was great. Mammoth Lakes is a beautiful area. Stayed in a 1br, it was decent size. Think we would have liked it much more during the winter.

We stayed at the end of Aug. The rooms did not have AC. Staying on the top floor without AC was next to unbearable, especially with young children. They have DirectTV but no premium channels. DVDs are available but not worth it. We cut our 2 night stay short. Not the place to go during the summer.
