Score from 72 reviews Very good
Everything from the moment I arrived until departure :)
Comfortable and quiet location away from the bustle of Sedona, but easy access.
Very nice, peaceful cottages!
Wifi was limited.
Needs better lighting in the bedrooms.
This is a beautiful spot in the pines! Far enough from the hustle bustle but still close enough to town to enjoy all the highlights. We loved this place!
First unit looked at a dumpster. Not the river view. And it smelled. Complained about it ... They moved us to a better unit that had a great view. A nice unit. So they did make adjustments.
real good area,
little too far from town.
Location was quiet and clean. Lodging was very homey and luxurious. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Scenery Views Access to creek weather reminiscent of upstate NY
A little pricey for one night stay, but would go again.
Our stay was very comfortable The first thing I noticed and loved is the ambiance from the coziness and warmth. The next thing I noticed was how clean it was throughout the appartment and out to the patio. I am a short person 4'11" I had trouble getting on the bed. But once there it was so nice. The dishwasher ran so quietly I guess I opened it before the end of the cycle and had water on the floor we called for maintainance they came right over and found nothing wrong with it. We had a wonderful four day stay, we highly recommend Junipine resort.
The resturant food was so so.
The beds were very comfortable!! The view was outstanding I would love to go back again
I didn't really have any problems
Friends came to visit us who had never been to Arizona; we'd been in Oak Creek Canyon a couple weeks prior and were excited to have an excuse to go back. Junipine will now be our first choice every time we go to the canyon or Sedona. Junipine was the only place in the canyon with large-enough accommodations (1400 sf) for two families (3 adults, 4 kids under 10) to stay together, and that also allowed a single-night stay. Even for a last-minute booking, they had exactly the facility we wanted available -- two bedroom creekside. When we checked in, we were delighted and amazed. Our two bedroom also included a loft with two twin beds for the kids! The beds were all comfortable. Doors in the master bedroom and living room open out on the huge deck (we ate every meal outside). There's a free DVD library (couple hundred titles?) available to guests, and multiple DVD players in the rooms. Our visit also included free breakfast for all and a 40-percent discount on dinner at the cafe. The location is simply STUNNING -- cliffs, full forest, the creek of course -- green everywhere, and everything smells fresh and piney. The clear, cold creek runs through a bed of smooth boulders of various sizes, so there was plenty to keep the kids occupied outside (bring old sneakers to wear in and around the creek, is my advice). There are also some community areas where you can play horseshoes and such. All in all, it was a glorious, relaxing experience, and we all had a wonderful time. Can't wait to go back!
Keep in mind when you ask for creekside, you may be on top of a cliff -- but you can hear the rushing water clearly, the view off the back deck is gorgeous, and at night you have a great view of the stars. The wi-fi wasn't the fastest and the signal strength varied, but that's true throughout the canyon. And it's free. Your kitchen will include coffee and a good-size empty refrigerator, but be prepared to bring everything and anything you want to eat or drink (including filtered water if that's your thing), maybe even paper towels and paper plates depending on your family (our kitchen had only breakable dinnerware). They do have minimal snacks, toiletries, etc., available for sale in the lobby. There is no AC available, so be prepared to open up all the screen doors and use the box fans stored in the closets if the rooms get stuffy in the summer. It cools off nicely at night.
Room was well-appointed & very comfortable. Grounds are well-kept & very pretty. Breakfast was a nice bonus!
Nothing - everything was outstanding.
Very clean, quiet.
We'll be back for sure. :)
The only thing to imporove is the wifi, the connection was very weak and the wifi was disconnecting a lot. We didn't have cell phone reception during the whole stay, might be good to not charge customers for long distance calls (charging $5 is a bit too much) when they can't use their phones.....
Food at the cafe
Everything about the property and proximity to great scenic views and liking trails!
Wifi is non-existent... But it's the wilderness, no need for it
Room was great, view was awesome. If you hade a desire to watch TV the direct TV was great.
Distance from town, wifi was intermittent but not needed really. Cafe was closed two of our three day visit.
Everything. Lovely area. We had a river facing two bedroom cabin. Both bedrooms had bathrooms. Large spacious living room. Everything clean. Nice breakfast. Shame we arrived late and did not get as much time there as would have liked.
Wifi kept going off. But our cabin was down hill in tress so maybe why. But did not ruin stay at all.
Room accommodations were good and the layout of the unit was good. The view was good and the staff was friendly and very helpful.
In lieu of the fact that the unit or units do not have air conditioning units to cool them down during summer months, it would be helpful in the cooler evenings to be able to have the sliders have locking mechanisms to partially leave the sliders open and lock them in a slightly opened position to allow air in, but still provide a sense of security to the occupants will they sleep.
The rooms were just amazing!! The staff was so friendly and helpful and I will be back for sure!!!
Nothing!! The room and location was amazing!!!
Junipine Resort is set in Oak Creek Canyon along the creek and is a beautiful location. Each unit is privately owned but managed by Junipine. Our unit was spacious, well-maintained, comfortable and peaceful. The staff was fabulous. The stay came with breakfast passes for each morning- loved eating on the cafe patio!
I knew ahead of time there was no a/c. It was just a little warm at bedtime, but it cooled down quickly. If we had followed the directions provided about closing things up during the day, we would have been more comfortable! Figured it out on the 3rd day :)
The view was phenomenal. Enjoyed the quietness and watching the stars at night. Was not located in town. Away from the crowds also liked the complimentary breakfast at the cafe. Loved listening to the creek down below the condo.
Nothing. Enjoyable experience.
I want to live there!!
Cell phone reception/ wifi services poor. Need steroid for ipod
Everything was beautiful in the hotel as well as the scenery. Perfect getaway!
