Score from 180 reviews Wonderful
Spaciousness of condo, view, fireplaces.
Wifi was all but inoperable. Needed it for business, had to go into town to get a reliable signal.
The Junipine was wonderful! It was, much more than we expected it to be. The room was so spacious and our balcony was huge with a great view of the creek. Free firewood every day and a lovely, quiet getaway.
The wi-fi signal was poor, but it didn't really cramp our stay because it was actually really nice to have an unplugged trip with my husband. Once we drove the few minutes into Sedona we had 4G service again.
Spectacular setting. Comfortable and nice facilities.
Was assured the lobby was open 24/7. When arriving late after a 7 hour flight delay, found lobby dark and locked. After searching the entire grounds at 10:30 pm, returned to lobby and knocked loudly on darkened lobby door before someone finally answered. A horrible start to a very nice stay! Had to move to a lesser cabin when our original had a broken microwave oven. Disappointing.
Location, gorgeous creekhouse on Oak Creek, restaurant on site, 2 fireplaces w/stocked wood. Friendliness of staff at reception. We absolutely loved our 4 night stay here!
Location was fantastic.
Dining room closed before its posted closing hour and we were unable to get dinner or room service.
the views the home amenities, the warm atmosphere, the resteraunt was excellent.
Resort location in Oak Creek canyon was quiet and beautiful with hiking trails immediately available . Villas have a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living-dining with fireplace, large bedroom bathroom and a spacious furnished deck ..virtually a cosy home away from home !! 15 minutes from the galleries and all the shopping ,restaurants in Sedona . Fantastic hiking through amazing rock formations in the Sedona area. Junipine has a good, convenient restaurant on the propery.
Fireplaces were nice. Liked having 2 vanity areas. Very comfortable and not a bad drive into Sedona.
Our overnight in Sedona was a joy at the peaceful Junipine Resort. We will be back. The fine complete kitchen, movie and fireplace was a great end to a long day of hiking.
Our bedroom had a fireplace but no wood. Small problem Probably fine but curious to us.
Big house, quiet surroundings and perfect facilities.
THE DECK WAS NICE . THE FIREPLACE IN THE LIVING ROOM AND BEDROOM WAS GREAT.
All the fryng pans stick with what ever your cooking. There was no scouring pads to clean them with. There was no cell ph connection. A bit out of town.
In room fireplaces
Nothing will be back
Really terrific service from the nicest staff. Beautiful cabin located on a peaceful river setting. Loved the fireplace (the friendly staff stock the wood for your use) for the cool desert evenings.
Everything from the moment I arrived until departure :)
Comfortable and quiet location away from the bustle of Sedona, but easy access.
Very nice, peaceful cottages!
Wifi was limited.
Needs better lighting in the bedrooms.
This is a beautiful spot in the pines! Far enough from the hustle bustle but still close enough to town to enjoy all the highlights. We loved this place!
First unit looked at a dumpster. Not the river view. And it smelled. Complained about it ... They moved us to a better unit that had a great view. A nice unit. So they did make adjustments.
real good area,
little too far from town.
Location was quiet and clean. Lodging was very homey and luxurious. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Scenery Views Access to creek weather reminiscent of upstate NY
A little pricey for one night stay, but would go again.
Our stay was very comfortable The first thing I noticed and loved is the ambiance from the coziness and warmth. The next thing I noticed was how clean it was throughout the appartment and out to the patio. I am a short person 4'11" I had trouble getting on the bed. But once there it was so nice. The dishwasher ran so quietly I guess I opened it before the end of the cycle and had water on the floor we called for maintainance they came right over and found nothing wrong with it. We had a wonderful four day stay, we highly recommend Junipine resort.
The resturant food was so so.
The beds were very comfortable!! The view was outstanding I would love to go back again
I didn't really have any problems
Friends came to visit us who had never been to Arizona; we'd been in Oak Creek Canyon a couple weeks prior and were excited to have an excuse to go back. Junipine will now be our first choice every time we go to the canyon or Sedona. Junipine was the only place in the canyon with large-enough accommodations (1400 sf) for two families (3 adults, 4 kids under 10) to stay together, and that also allowed a single-night stay. Even for a last-minute booking, they had exactly the facility we wanted available -- two bedroom creekside. When we checked in, we were delighted and amazed. Our two bedroom also included a loft with two twin beds for the kids! The beds were all comfortable. Doors in the master bedroom and living room open out on the huge deck (we ate every meal outside). There's a free DVD library (couple hundred titles?) available to guests, and multiple DVD players in the rooms. Our visit also included free breakfast for all and a 40-percent discount on dinner at the cafe. The location is simply STUNNING -- cliffs, full forest, the creek of course -- green everywhere, and everything smells fresh and piney. The clear, cold creek runs through a bed of smooth boulders of various sizes, so there was plenty to keep the kids occupied outside (bring old sneakers to wear in and around the creek, is my advice). There are also some community areas where you can play horseshoes and such. All in all, it was a glorious, relaxing experience, and we all had a wonderful time. Can't wait to go back!
Keep in mind when you ask for creekside, you may be on top of a cliff -- but you can hear the rushing water clearly, the view off the back deck is gorgeous, and at night you have a great view of the stars. The wi-fi wasn't the fastest and the signal strength varied, but that's true throughout the canyon. And it's free. Your kitchen will include coffee and a good-size empty refrigerator, but be prepared to bring everything and anything you want to eat or drink (including filtered water if that's your thing), maybe even paper towels and paper plates depending on your family (our kitchen had only breakable dinnerware). They do have minimal snacks, toiletries, etc., available for sale in the lobby. There is no AC available, so be prepared to open up all the screen doors and use the box fans stored in the closets if the rooms get stuffy in the summer. It cools off nicely at night.
