Standing more than a century in Washington, D.C., this beautiful hotel is just a 7-minute walk from the Dupont Circle Metro Station. An on-site restaurant with Starbucks coffee is available.

Our cab pulled up on the street immediately the porter was there for our luggage. From the minute u enter u feel at home. The hotel has a lovely ambience. Staff were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for you and always addressed u by name. There are nice quiet seating areas inside and out. Happy hour is at 5pm cheese biscuits wine and champagne. We had a room facing the front street. The area is quiet and in a great position. Good restaurants walking distance. You are able to collect the hop on/off bus at the Hilton which is just around the corner. I would definitely stay there again.
The wine provided in the early evening. The pleasant staff and the quiet neighbourhood.
The distance from the subway.
Location, very helpful and friendly staff. We were offered an early check in as the room was already available, the beds are confy and the afternoon tea was a great surprise. I would definetely stam again.
The music and the bed.
There was no heat. Only promises of heat and the reason given was that weather would be getting warmer soon. The bathroom fan did not work. The refrigerator shelves fell apart. We were repeatedly given one wash cloth for 2 people despite daily requests for 2. The hot water ran out. There was no microwave. The iron did not work. The toilet paper roll was broken. There were no coffee pots, only steam espresso machines. On check out day the system was down and I could not see the charges on my credit card. Beth Morales said she Would contact me with the amount and make adjustments to make up for all the problems we had. She gave me a number to contact her directly. When I did not hear from her in 24 hours I called the number which was not in service. I still do not know what has been charged to my credit card. I would never stay in this place again and would discourage others from doing so.
Really liked the friendliness of the staff. The location was great for a variety of restaurants. Wine hour was was fun a great surprise.
Very small room. Shower vent not working. Water flow in shower not enough to rinse shampoo out of your hair. Old towels. Lights not working.
Both the people and the hotel itself
I'd like softdrinks
Historic architecture and greenery
Location, staff, nespresso
The hotel is in a convenient spot, but still about a 10/15 minute walk to the Dupont metro. The staff is helpful and friendly and the wifi is good in your room, which is a real plus. Also enjoyed the available comfy seating on the first floor to hang out, play chess, read a paper, etc., including a fun wine happy hour (gratis) there and a jar of tasty cookies and coffeemaker available for at-will snacking and caffeinating.
It is a nice hotel, with elegant furnishings in a fairly good location, although a bit far from the Metro (they say, Dupont Circle, but in fact it is 10-15 minutes away up a steep hill).
Terrible choice of television channels for a high quality hotel: no CNN or other news channels and no World Series.
Very pleasant, attentive staff. They acted immediately on a room issue.
Breakfast was OK if it's included, but not great for $12.
The cozy ambience of the downstairs lobby, and the well-appointed rooms and bathrooms.
The whole ambience of the hotel was excellent, the staff, the rooms, the breakfast were wonderful. Would definitely stay there again.
A truely European experience from expresso in the room to a real dove on the bed..
A bit of a walk for free parking. .
Everything. The staff, service, location, accommodations , very Euro feel
Location and staff
Dont have coverage for ATT service provider.
I very much enjoyed my stay at Normandy Hotel. The decor was elegantly done. The room is exquisite decorated with good taste. The bed is very comfy and linen is high quality. Bathroom is spacious and well maintained. I like it has a espresso machine in the room. Free bottled water is provided daily.
Breakfast could have more choices.
Cafe da manha nao incluso You have to pay for the breakfast
Conveniently located between DuPont Circle and Embassy Row. A short walk to each. Very safe area in a cool residential neighborhood. Nicely decorated rooms. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful!
The room are small with no place to store much of your belongings. Walls are thin so can hear people in nearby rooms. But totally worth it for the price! Would definately stay here again!
The staff, the traditional interior design.
I think you should change out the mattresses.
the wonderful front desk people...they were friendly, helpful and happy. Happy Hour staff were pretty wonderful too....so was the happy hour!
Very helpful front desk staff. Nice, clean room. Perfect location, easy access to everything.
Air conditioning didn't work properly. The room would not cool down. Television didn't work properly. Functioning channels would suddenly stop functioning. Wet towels were not replaced or hung up. Beds were not made properly. Elevator didn't work properly. Had to walk up and down six floors, a number of times, as a result.
The staff was friendly and the location was very convenient.
Parking was an added cost not advertised, the rooms were run down, first room the bathroom door broke, 2nd the fridge didn't work.
