Well located near Back Bay Station, it's a very comfortable hotel, with nice bedrooms, well equipped, and a very friendly staff. The bed was magnificient! Being picky, you could say that many rooms don't offer a nice view or no view at all.

Loved the location. Staff wonderful . Did not realise it was part of the Doyle Group of hotels until I checked in. Loved the artwork. Will use the hotel on my next visit. The bar area could do with some attention. It's very uninviting in its decor.

We enjoyed our stay and the hotel was well located in the city. We probably won't return to the hotel. It seemed to us that the hotel wants to be upper tiered but in reality it wasn't much more than a Hilton. Next time we book a trip it'll probably be to the Hilton

The location was perfect...walking distance to everything. The service was incredible and the room was beautiful...comfortable beds and a heated towel rack (great touch) I loved everything about it and will be back...

It was very convenient to my business at the John Hancock building as well as several great restaurants. Hotel staff were excellent. Room service was a little pricey but excellent quality food. Their clam "chowda" at the bar was fantastic!

The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The hotel rooms very comfortable. Would have liked the main dining room to be open on Snday night. Thought the reception rooms could have been better used and more furnished especially he one closer to the check-in.

Well placed hotel. Really helpful staff. The room and lobby etc were all gorgeous. There was construction work going on all night at a site opposite. The WiFi connection was sketchy so no good for business guests I'd have thought. The doors on the 9th floor would slam loudly if left to close by themselves - sounds like a small thing but on a Friday night with a 5am start the next morning it was certainly irritating for me.

The Back Bay Hotel treated me like first class royalty upon arrival. I will not give away what they did that made me feel that way because I have a feeling they do this with everyone! I will always go back to this hotel! Always! I think they should promote even more through advertising efforts about how they make their customers feel. A unique experience and above and beyond!

I liked the hotel very much. The location was excellent. The staff efficient and helpful. I didn't like the long wait experienced in the restaurant on the Saturday night. If it had not been such a terrible evening, owing to the weather, I would have left and found somewhere else. Therefore I didn't 'chance' the restaurant on Sunday evening.

Good location. Very spacious room! The bed was not very comfortable when compared to other 5* Hotels. The lobby area was very standard - not anything special, chair upholstery ripped, looked a bit outdated, lobby cafe bar was closed. No mini-bar in the room. The acoustics were very bad, I could hear everyone walking and talking outside the room in the hallway.

Location was great to the Back Bay area, South End and easy transport to Downtown. Rooms were good size and nice decor. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would have liked a coffee making machine in room and a small fridge.

The service was good; the hotel in general excellent. Internet service (which admittedly was free) was terrible. There were constant problems getting connected; the speeds were so slow, they were positively medieval. So you couldn't up or down-load anything of substance. When I complained, they apologized but nothing was done to improve the service. When I checked out and complained again, it was clear that I was not the only one complaining because they confused me with another guest who had a similar gripe. It would be better to pay just to get a decent internet access
