The room was excellent and the staff attentive but not overbearing. The issue mentioned later was handled very well and delicately. Will use hotel again in the future.
Unfortunately the dividing door, properly shut, allowed us to hear every foul word used by the neighbouring guest, Mrs Potty Mouth. The hotel handled it very well and it did not cause too much distress for our wedding anniversary.
Easy walks to all the right places Newbury three blocks away
There was no view
location is fantastic, just few minutes walk to Newbury street, staff are lovely so helpful, it was my birthday and a card with a bottle of prosecco and a little cake was left in our room, so nice.
Staff was very helpful, assisting us without having to ask for help. Very quite hotel, very good bed. Will certainly stay again.
The location was very central to walk to both boston common and to the shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful, without being too much in your face and overall a very chilled out, comfortable hotel We also got upgraded which was a lovely touch There is a lounge to get frer hot drinks which is very good and a lovely bar and restaurant downstairs called the precinct
There was a dirty sock a previous guest had left. Although we were on the 7th floor it was still very noisy from the Street.
The restaurant staff were lovely, recognize a few from when this hotel was a Doyle hotel. The reason I booked this hotel was due to my fond memories from trips when I was younger before Loews took over.
All the character has been taken out of this hotel. The shower was very poor, water dribbled, no water pressure. We had a grand king bedroom which was actually tiny for the high price we paid. The bed was very uncomfortable, I had back aches each morning. When booking the room, it said we would have a bath and shower and minibar, we only had a shower and had to ask for a fridge to store my insulin. Bottles of water, $7!! Really took away from our trip, will not be returning. Could have stayed in another hotel with much bigger room, breakfast included and more modern amenities for less. does not deserve the high star rating on this website.
nice hotel & staff
Staff was unpretentious and wonderfully accommodating.
Bed was super comfortable. Excellent location.
Room size was small. No mini frig or bureau drawers. Restaurant had limited menu & pricey.
wonderful bed; good location; very friendly and helpful staff; good internet.
the room was a bit cold, and the bathroom was quite cold because the heat turns off automatically at 75 degree F; and the gym is tiny. I expected a better gym and a warm room for this price.
Nice & clean,,helpful staff
no fridge in the room
The location was great, but the bar was really good, great staff, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced
When I book through booking.com I don't get hotel loyalty points.
The location was perfect, it made my stay wonderful coming back
Location, spacious rooms and very comfortable bed
Lack of a decent power shower with such a big shower, no mini bar, no coat hooks yet plenty of space and small bath towels (don't mean to be pedantic but this is not a cheap hotel $500 a night)
The location was great. The bar and restaurant were good but limited.
The gentleman at the check in was rude. Asked for a dinner recommendation (it was late) he steered us to a DUMP of a place. Upon our return I told him about the place and said he should go there and take a look (he had never been there) he proceed to bark at me telling me that no one else ever complained etc etc. Really rude!
The service was excellent. Beautiful facilities comfortable room
The wifi was a little slow the "luxury" upgrade on our king rooom -not sure if it was worth the price
even is a big hotel, you do not have that feeling. Nice and helpful personal. I like the interior designe
location, stylish interior, busy and friendly bar, good bar and dining menus
the hotel has a nice feel about it and the front desk staff were fairly accommodating.
We needed an extra bed for our son and the springs were practically visible thru the bedding. When e asked for a new one the second night, it was there, folded up and left for us to deal with it. It can't be that hard to find a decent roll-away bed if you're a big hotel chain?
Rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished.
Gym was dark and poorly maintained. First room was on noisy street but staff were very accommodating when we requested a quieter side of the hotel.
Location, Architecture, Layout, Rooms, Staff.
Paper cups for coffee in room and in Lounge. Staff are a little distant
Great location, comfortable beds and good sized rooms. Staff was extremely helpful and did not disappoint. Location was perfect.
