The resort itself was really pretty. It has great landscaping and sat on a golf course which was peaceful. The location was great too since there was many restaurants, shops and freeway was close. They played really relaxing music on the premises which was nice.
When we arrived (the day of my birthday) it took 45 minutes to check in because they couldn't find my name in the system. Once they did find my name they said they would put us in a 'luxury room'. We got to our room and noticed it was handicapped. I couldn't hang any of my clothes because yet racks were so low and the shower pressure was terrible because it was a different shower head. I asked to be switched to another room, which was much better and nicer. Service was not great at the outside sitting area. There were so many people there for a convention. It seemed their needs came before ours which is frustrating when you're paying a hefty price for a room 5 days straight. I had to get up and ask for service almost every time. If you're looking for a romantic couples vacation I would go elsewhere.
Horrendous customer sevice from a few employees. I do not think this is a location that caters to or encourages kids under age 12ish. We were treated pretty horrible on day one of a five day trip. We traveled with a 6, 4, baby. Would not come back with kids that young.
The mattress was very uncomfortable.
The staff was so friendly. They went over and beyond customer service.
Had to call 2 times management since hot water was not available on my room.
I stayed only one night but I have used all the hotel services. It is absolutely in all his aspects. If I'll come back in Phoenix I will definitely come back again.
Its been the second time we visit the hotel and I have to say that everything was wonderful. Staff, facilities and everything has been perfect.
Would love to have your chocolate cookies back at the front desk ! ;-)
Pools, service,food, property
My husband and I are traveling from CA->NJ with our 4 month old baby. Aside from us arriving late and wishing we could of stayed longer we couldn't of been happier. Amazing staff, facility and all around hotel experience. Already telling more people about the location.
Nothing! Perfect :)
Kids loved the pools with lazy river. After a long drive from Lake Powell, my wife and I really appreciated the wonderful hospitality. Everyone enjoyed the food and service at Stone Grill and other restaurants on site.
Very little -- had a great experience and had the fortune of not being there at a time when there was a large business conference.
Food Pool Staff Room
Shower was a little small. (I'm being VERY picky.)
Chicken enchiladas, friendly staff, and location.
Three concierge standing inside talking and not one of them opened the door when preparing to walk in.
The friendliness of the staff, the bedding, the cleanliness of the whole Resort!
The Stonegrill, the pools , the birds, the space , the hygiene , the friendly atmosphere, eating outside at the pool bar, casual dress code , the daily papers ,the shop for American artworks.
It can be very cold in the conference rooms and the main lobby. The noise of the AC fan at night.
long distance to room and elevator locations
Every thing But I hope that they will do more things for Teen kids
Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, loved the pools!
Food and drinks way overpriced!
Decor and grounds were tops. Water features, pools and lazy river were very nice. Room was clean but not oversized. Bathroom was very large with a tub and shower. Staff was very professional and helpful and shops and restaurants nice.
Lack of free wireless. This hotel is very large and there are so many similar-looking halls that better signage is needed.
Every encounter with staff was exceptional. For every request there was prompt service and then a follow-up to be sure we were satisfied. It is obvious that there is a top down emphasis on customer satisfaction at this property. The pools are the best in the valley, plenty of chairs, constant drink and good service. Though it was a busy weekend, everything was kept clean and fresh looking. Can't wait to return!
Be prepared for the daily, not nightly, resort fee $25. Because of this fee, save yourselves $12 and skip valet parking.
What a great hotel! We have stayed in 5 star hotels and this certainly rivals excellent hotels around the world. The staff was professional and everyone wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. The pool attendants were over the top fantastic. The Marriott club reception was beautiful and well done. We did not want to leave, Thanks for the complimentary newspapers and for opening the pool early for east coast visits.
Having a walk around the golf course and getting thrown out. We attend Masters, Opens, Ryder Cups and we live on a golf course - getting told it was unsafe to be on the cart path was embarrassing.
We have been to another 5 star hotel the last time we stayed in Phoenix, but JW Marriot was by far better, cleaner and had far more modern installations in general. Food was great, green areas excellent and the staff always very nice. Congratulations you have a great place.
We liked everything there was really no down side on anything.
The highlight of my stay was Celebrity Fight Night - Jonathan Antoine performing, he was above outstanding. The staff were top rate and Gordon on Valet was excellent. Rooms were very clean and spacious, mine had a little terrace at ground level looking out onto Isle of Capri.
Pool Bar food could be better Beds rather soft Pool towels have seen better days Sun loungers too cramped together No adult only area pool Starbuck too busy all the time Didn't like that there was no breakfast option other than room service, Starbucks or Pool Couldn't have a cappuccino after my awful lunch at pool cafe as they didn't sell it!! Had to send diet pepsi back as coconut and other debris floating in it
