Location at union square
It is over priced
The intimacy of the hotel and decor. Very impressive interior whilst not being overwhelmingly large.
The staff is first-rate! From the reception, to the concierge, to the wait staff - they were all wonderful and so caring!!
Nothing - great hotel!
Convenience of downtown stores for shopping & restaurants Near union square activities Bell staff very helpful with arranging limo service; staff very friendly & helpful lounge entertainment great
only one person at check-in desk then several people came out together to wait on people
no business center line to ask a question food expensive and not good WiFi is extra high dollar for the stay room very small no ambiance
location was great
door to my room (508) was dirty. looked like scratches from luggage or other objects. the hotel itself was great except for the cleanliness of hotel room door. valet parking cost is terrible. i will not stay there again due to extremely high valet cost that i was not aware of until i checked out!
Service was good Food was okay Need to call the front desk if you want turn down
The designer if this hotel thought glass elevators would be a cool feature, but the tall inner atrium serves only to give guests vertigo with open wraught iron metal railings that are gaudy and nerve wracking if you have small kids on a high floor. The hallway design is not well thought out and the fancy glass elevators make a lot of noise, making the atrium guest / bar area not restful or peaceful, not likely the effect they were trying to create.
Room was very spacious. Bed was comfortable. Concierge was outstanding, very convenient to cable cars, bus lines and bart. Fitness center was excellent.
No fridge, coffee machine only option for expresso serving size, charged us for using large bottled water that was sitting by our bed.
We like the location the friendly staff
Nothing we didn't like
Overnight street noise from late night owls in the street
The staff was fabulous they sent up a bottle of wine and cheese tray for our anniversary That was greatly appreciated. House driver was amazing as well.
I like the brand. JW Marriott you know what you are going to get
Over priced because of conference. No rewards points from Marriott. They don't give points if booked on other site...really....I stayed there...that is crazy. The rooms are not upgraded. you can tell the age of the hotel. don't charge 600/night and not be modern
Consistent Marriott quality. 24hrs gym
1) Guest services did not coordinate with Valet. Had to wait 15mins for cars for 2 occasions!
From the moment we arrive the staff was there for your enjoyment and comfort. the room were great and clean. will be back
Internet not free
Aesthetically a beautiful hotel. Luxurious , vibrant lobby and attention to detail was amazing. the location was amazing, in the heart of union Square .
The location, staff were helpful
This is not very family oriented hotel, more suitable for business people and adult travelers
Location was good, right in the centre off Union Square. The service was Ok and the rooms were clean.
Hotel was quite old, in need of modernisation. The room facilities were poor and dated and the breakfast was pretty limited. For what we paid, we expected and could have got better, I wouldn't choose this hotel again.
Included in the room was breakfast in the top floor club room
Breakfast was very limited and no hot foods only continental.
The discounts on booking.com (34%), the friendliness of the staff. The staff at the lobby were also very helpful.
It would be better to provide free wifi within the hotel rooms.
Very friendly front office staff. When we had issues in the room, this was solved very well and with extreme personal attention of the front office person
The roof top terras was closed and also rather small.
I liked its location to most seen sites in San Fran. Staff was great from the doormen to the management. Great food
Chipping wood furniture. 2 light bulbs were out. Make up on wall of bathroom from previous stay. Very expensive parking on site...but very convenient. Semi-expensive room rate
Location. Safety, Satff
Quite pricey - but then all the hotels in this area are.
Location , staff , food
Very good location in SF with good restaurant/bar and good fitness room. Friendly and helpful staff. Great bathroom.
Very expensive valet parking fee and it is not OK that wifi is not for free except in reception area. Rooms seem aged but are still OK.
