The location, staff were helpful
This is not very family oriented hotel, more suitable for business people and adult travelers
Location was good, right in the centre off Union Square. The service was Ok and the rooms were clean.
Hotel was quite old, in need of modernisation. The room facilities were poor and dated and the breakfast was pretty limited. For what we paid, we expected and could have got better, I wouldn't choose this hotel again.
Included in the room was breakfast in the top floor club room
Breakfast was very limited and no hot foods only continental.
I liked its location to most seen sites in San Fran. Staff was great from the doormen to the management. Great food
Chipping wood furniture. 2 light bulbs were out. Make up on wall of bathroom from previous stay. Very expensive parking on site...but very convenient. Semi-expensive room rate
Location. Safety, Satff
Quite pricey - but then all the hotels in this area are.
Location , staff , food
Very good location in SF with good restaurant/bar and good fitness room. Friendly and helpful staff. Great bathroom.
Very expensive valet parking fee and it is not OK that wifi is not for free except in reception area. Rooms seem aged but are still OK.
Location was great....within blocks of Union Square.
Walls in hotel rooms were very thin. Could hear the conversation coming from next room.
Very expensive. .Not friendly .
Great location in city centre, all staff polite, attentive and helpful Modern up market feel to hotel
Internet free for basic would be useful Would be a nice touch to provide some crisps/nuts/pretzels with drinks in the bar area
very small room for 3 adults versus the money we paid
At first I was put in a room with the smell of cigarette smoke, however I was moved as I requested.
Location is perfeck
Old hotel , car parking is too high.
Because of the location ! and the comfort
Very friendly and helpful staff, great room, etc.
Location Amenities Staff friendliness Proximity to local interesTS
The view was amazing. The bed and sheets extremely comfortable. Windows that opened kept the room well ventilated.
Two years (?) worth of dust on the floor in front of the desk. Room tax made room a lot more money than I was expecting.
We mostly ate out but had one dinner in the restaurant which was outstanding! Probably the best whilst in San Fran. Excellent service from a young blond waitress whose name I can't remember.
The hotel didn't have much communal space and was far more geared for professionals and not great for young children but fine if its just a bed you looking for. We chose this location as had been at a lot of beach front hotels and decided we might do some shopping but found the centre of town dirty and full of homeless people and drug addicts that have drifted up from the tenderloin area which is very close by! The wharf was our second option but was much the same and full of tourists and again quite dirty. Would def book on outskirts of town next time around. Also don't leave a car if you can help it, can use public transport and valet is expensive.
The hotel was very nice and we felt for San Fran, a good value for the money. The room was updated and king bed very comfortable. There were all the components of JW Marriott that we expected from the site. The bathroom had been redone and it was clean and fresh. Several times, we requested ice in the room and other items and they were so prompt in getting us what we needed! The doormen were so friendly and welcoming!
I had read that wifi in the room was extra, so while I expected it to be extra, it was too bad that other suggestions to improve this had not prompted a difference. I also read on booking.com that there was breakfast included for the days we were there but upon getting there was told this wasn't the case. I don't feel that this was the hotel's fault, but something unclear from the booking site. I had asked about getting a taxi to another hotel for a conference in the early morning and they suggested the hotel taxi for $60, which she assured me was the same price as street taxi would be. Upon looking online (which I paid for in the room) I discovered it should cost about 45 dollars so I booked a yellow cab and it arrived on time and I saved a bit of money.
The hotel is centrally located. Rooms are nice size.
Shower was rather small. Valet parking was expensive ($60 per night).
Sports wear washed and returned same day for free. Was given help with reservation for dinner, taxi and flight booking. Extremely pleased
Within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf Rooms were quiet considering the hotel has a atrium in the middle of the building
No view, backs up to another building very close
Big clean room bear to everything.
If you have lower prices or even promotion during holidays ut will be perfect.
Lovely large and modern hotel. Excellent helpful and obliging staff. Our room was very nice but for the city view you need to be higher than about 12 floors. Bar and restaurant area very nice and well staffed. We paid extra for use of the lounge on 21st floor...this included free beverages 24/7 and breakfast, nibbles and puddings at certain times. Plus tv, PC and printer plus the views of city and Golden Gate Bridge. Overall if u don't mind the prices then it's a lovely hotel.
I thought hotel was expensive and the valet parking at over 60 dollars a day was excessive when u can get the same service right next door for half the price (which is what I did). Food was reasonably priced and good quality but wine wax expensive.
Over $1200 for 2 nights
