Some rooms are quite dark (mine was), but that made it kind of quiet. The furnishings are old and while it wasn't spotless, it was clean.
Best value you'll find for this AMAZING location. Super close to all transportation and numerous restaurants and nightlife. I grew up in this neighborhood, so I was very comfortable, but if you're not familiar with the Tenderloin, it can appear scary, but I promise you it looks worse than it actually is. I feel very safe here.
worst internet wifi connection. (over 5 floor) Same as disconnected.
cheep, near the market street, Moscon center nice kitchen
The enviroment is not perfect.
I enjoy location.
Cleanliness is not the priority. The apartments are not well acoustically insulated. Noises from inside and in particular from the street may bother your sleep. It's not the place where to look for relax, but to enjoy SFO from the hearth of downtown at a decent price is great.
People of the staff are really ready to help you (advices, boarding pass printing, luggage storage). They are friendly and the atmosphere is less cold than in the big hotel chains. The apartment was big, cheap, and few steps from Powell Station.
Smelly Bed lining was dirty, full of hairs. Bed cover was full of staines. No heating. I did ask for an extra blanket and they did not have a spare one. Somebody knock on my door shouting at 3 am in the morning asking for somebody (??)
Located very close to the Westfield shopping centre and in walking distance to Union Square. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The place stank of urine, age, dirt and general falling down state of the old building. It is definitely not suitable for western travellers.
the staff were friendly but a bit untogether
The rooms were not clean and I had to ask the staff to clean them, even after they tried to accommodate us, the other room was dirty as well.
I liked the fact that it was in my budget, and there's 24 hr staff available.
Value and space within the apartment.
mainly the price... also the room comes with a kitchen, a fridge and a microwave.
Very weak wifi, especially in the afternoon. Better in the morning.
Apartments are available for half price compare to the cheapest hotel in this area. So do not expect miracles, but you get honest services commensurate the price. LOCATION: Excellent location, just second block from Powell BART station. No so many sad people around as expected. MANAGER: Manager was nice and helpful. OTHER GUESTS: No middle class, not so many tourists. ELEVATOR: Worked 2 from my 3 nights there. BEDROOM: Do not forget your ear plugs as you can hear every step of the neighbor above you and the neighbor walking on the corridor. But it is not horrible. KITCHEN: Enough for simple cooking.
The lift is a mess. It is not working most of the time and if you are aboard, and someone else calls it from outside, it will go fetch the call before dropping you off! Keeps going down and up. Too many destitutes outside the hotel but again these are really quite many in the whole of the central business district of San Francisco.
The staff are very friendly and always willing to help.
Neighbourhood not really safe
Wonderful people Nice appartement
Surroundings Ancient dis functional plumbing Noise levels Families living in hotel Lack of cleanliness
Easy access to transport
Wi-Fi had to be renewed every day - often not available Elevator broke down twice so on 5th floor not at all convenient. Had to ask nice staff guy to help me get my luggage down when leaving. Corridors smelled bad.
Bed was comfortable
The location are very bad, lot of homeless
The staff are very friendly n helpfull
Somewhat shabby, somewhat dirty, in a somewhat unsavory neighborhood, upkeep of the room questionable, staff presence inconsistent... Not a place to chill in the room and relax, but perfect for travelers looking to crash after spending all day in the city.
Close walk to everything. Heart of the city.
Location is awesome, but the street itself it in not nice.
Price was great, the staff is awesome.
We didn't have extra towels and wash clothes, but this wasn't really a big problem because if someone needed to buy these items, there's so much shopping right down the street you can just purchase some.
The location of the Apartments was the best. My sister and I stayed at here and only paid $502 for a 6 day stay. We got an awesome deal, compared to other hotels in the area where the stay was $150-$300 a night. This hotel is a few steps away from the Powell Street Bart Station, Union Square and many shops and many restaurants, the Visitors Information Center is close by, so you can plan your trip. I also loved the fact that you had to buzz yourself into the hotel to get into the hotel. A great friendly staff, great price, great location...you can't beat this!
Limpieza Localizacion Ruido
This isn't really an hotel. Don't expect services if you don't ask. Of course, Tenderloin isn't the prettiest neighbourhood in SF (homeless population), but this place is very near Market street so you don't have to walk that much in that neighbourhood.
This place is clean and they seems to care seriously about the bed bugs problem in San Francisco (plastic wrapping of the mattress). Got an apartment at half price with booking.com, so I got a good value for money.
During my stay my apartment was entered without my prior notification or consent, and whilst I was out, and the door locks were changed. There were also initial difficulties getting me a key for the new lock when I returned. Management seemed more concerned with getting rid of me when I complained than admitting a serious breach of privacy & security I felt very insecure leaving any of my property (including laptop and passport) in the apartment after this event and had to carry them around with me 24/7 instead.
Bed, bathroom, kitchen all perfectly adequate and serviceable, but I would not recommend this property at all due to privacy incident.
some people may say the area is not the best and some of the "locals" may be socially challenged. but find a place in SF that does not have these problems and let me know!
this is an ideal place to base yourself whilst enjoying San Francisco. its a short walk to the main transport hubs. I really enjoyed the space of the apartment, the free WiFi and meeting some great people.
Good place to start trip. Center of SF. Lot of buses, cable cars and metro.
