They were struggling to keep up with their maintenance. The rooms were clean but there were cats on the property and downstairs that smelled. Cross breeze only available in room with balcony.
The owner was very friendly. The kitchen was full sized and well stocked with items left from previous travelers.

Close to everything. The host, Cynthia is very knowledgable about places to see, how to get to everything and is a very NICE person. You will find lots of food to make your stay more comfortable. I hope to be able to come back and stay,

Nothing. There was nothing to not like.
Cynthia was a great host. She accommodated my late arrival and was friendly throughout my stay. The facilities were clean and hospitable. The kitchen was well-stocked and the other guests were charming and attractive. The premises also hosts an outdoor cat who is so sweet and friendly that I was tempted to stash it in my luggage on my way out.

The restroom was interesting because we couldn't flush anything other than bodily waste (we had to throw t.p. in the trashcan), but it could have been worse. The house was clean.
Cynthia was very pleasant and her other guests were also kind. I enjoyed my stay there, though I didn't spend a lot of time there except to sleep. The house was really cute and I enjoyed walking around in her yard.

Property not up to standard for a B and B.
Owner very friendly and helpful.

location is several miles from the commercial center of the town, Hilo.
Proprietor (Cynthia) was very friendly, welcoming & accommodating. setting was extremely laid back & casual in a residential environment.

Cynthia was very hospitable. She has a real aloe vera plant which saved my sunburnt self and she made delicious limeade yuuum. the house has a collection of magazine and pamphlets that are helpful for planning. The shower has nice and pipin' hot water. The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with basic foods like bread and spreads and eggs.

B&B owner is very kindly. She taught us cooking the pancake for breakfast.

I felt like home when I stay. I'd like to stay there if I have a chance to visit Big island.

Shared bath and shower! Had to have fans on all night, no air conditioning!
February 4, 2015
The sound proofing was fairly non-existent and there are two separate couples checking out early - 4:30 and 5:30. So we go barely any sleep.
Cynthia was warm and accommodating. We needed to arrive late, have early breakfast and then leave our stuff for a few hours before checking out while we took a helicopter tour. She made all these work out with out stress for us.

The location was not that close to downtown or the ocean (maybe a 10 minute drive). Bathroom wasn't attached to the room, and is sometimes shared with other guests.
Staff was extremely helpful--making breakfasts to suit us, giving us great information about local attractions, and making accommodations for our late arrival. The guest room was comfortable, and the price was great.

Generally quiet neighborhood, but barking dogs in the early morning were annoying. Be aware that there is nothing within walking distance, but the drive to downtown is only about five minutes.
very relaxed atmosphere. The four guest rooms on the main floor share two baths, a kitchen and a common room. There are a lot of things to do and see around Hilo---Cindy's suggestions and directions were all helpful. This was a comfortable, casual place to sleep after the day's activities.

Parking was a bit tight but not that big of an issue since we were all able to fit our cars on he lot anyway.
The bed was comfortable. We did quite a lot of hiking so it was important for us to have a comfortable bed. The welcoming atmosphere was nice, with Cynthia, the manager, helping us with good-to-knows. The communal breakfasts were nice, you got into chats with people, and a big plus for Cynthia's pancakes, they were awesome. It was also easy to come and go as you pleased.

We were looking for a place last minute in the middle of the holiday season, and found this place, far and away the cheapest one we found. The value is fantastic, as the host provides a warm and social place. I like that the travelers you meet here are also low key people. Recommended!

The listing says they do not permit pets, however, you are essentially staying in part of someone's home and they do have pets. I had a strong reaction and couldn't stay overnight in this place. There was also a terrible and strong odor in the entry way (perhaps was cat urine?) Owner was not present at check-in. Wifi worked fine in the living room, but not well in the bedroom. The pictures did not accurately represent the property. It is much more cluttered and less clean than the pictures suggest. Booking was not helpful in resolving this issue. While their terms and conditions make clear that the proprietors can put up whatever they want, I would have thought that Booking would have some sort of due diligence process. My stay was originally processed as a "no show", even though I showed up. Processing my stay this way, meant that I couldn't leave a review of my experience. I had to specifically request that Booking change the status of my record, so I could write about my experience. I wonder if this practice of assigning "no show" inflated the rating of this place, as most people wouldn't go through the extra trouble to post about their experience. I would not recommend staying here, particularly if you are allergic to cats or dogs.
Location was OK. Easy to get to and also close driving distance to restaurants, airport, etc.

We thought the place was a bit dark and a bit rundown. The walls were thin too as you could hear everything
Good value for money. Close to the airport. Very social able place to stay
