A great place to watch the whales play as the sun sets.
Building is really dated. Only one mid week clean and I had to ask twice to get it done. No pool side service (they said they provided but I never saw it) and the bar didn't open until 10 so no Bloody Mary's or Minosas if you like to start your vacation day like that. Removed from the main beach and tourist areas (good and bad)
The room size was spacious, especially the bathroom with soaking tub. Not located in the heart of the tourist section of resorts.
Bathroom vanity faucet broke
The location, the room, the view and the amazing sunsets!!!
No stove in kitchen.
Sofa bed was better than expected. Two kids (or average size adults) could sleep comfortably. Big rooms and bathrooms.
Bar/grill around pool was not open until early afternoon. Breakfast buffett was overpriced for what you get, but it was still fine.
Great size rooms, lots of value, very casual and family friendly atmosphere. We went to Maui for a work incentive trip and stayed at a different resort but wanted to extend a night earlier at a more casual place with out the work crowd nearby. It was great! We would like to return and take our kids as it was so family friendly. Sunset was perfect and it was a very short walk down the beach to Dukes Beach House for dinner...that was the best meal we had on Maui! People warned us about the aggressive time share sales but we avoided it. They ask you at check in if you are interested and I said no immediatly. That was it, end of story at check in. Then they ask you to go to conierge desk to get your free gift. It was a small sling backback with coupons in it. They asked again there if we were interested in ownership or shareholder opportunities and we said no, not at all interested and that was it. They were very freindly and respectful. And there was some coupons for free deserts/drinks/apps that we actually used! Great visit and I would go back again.
Being hustled into a presentation of the property
The concerieg service
The view and the hotel is very gorgeous!
Spacious rooms, great location, free wifi, and easy self parking available.
View was the neighbours beach there was not great, rooms had bugs in them, they were not that clean, Even when asked to move it was I'm sorry and nothing done. It sucked small hot tub,it's not a kitchen it has small fridge and microwave no stove etc
The grounds were very nice
front desk staff was not willing to accommodate room requests even for their platinum member guests.
valet parking, oceanfront restaurant, size of rooms and bathrooms,
There was only one restaurant in the resort which didn't have a very extensive menu. The timeshare hard sell they put on you is very over the top. We spent far too many hours one morning of only the 5 that we were there trying to be talked into a timeshare arrangement. The discounts that we got on tours by signing up to the 'talk' were fantastic though... but we almost went ahead with the timeshare because their sales pitch is very convincing. We went away and did out own research to learn that it certainly wasn't for us. Tip for players... do your own research AWAY from your sales person if you are considering signing up for the timeshare stuff!
The resort was in a beautiful location right on Ka'anapali Beach. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was modern, clean, spacious and comfortable. Was great having the bedroom separate from the living areas. The pool areas was really nice and had plenty of deck chairs and people walk around taking drink orders while you're sitting by the pool.
Staff would not let us check thirty minutes early, were not friendly. Room smelled musty.
Valet staff were nice, kind greeted everyone. Kitchen and bathroom was nice. New sofa was nice.
Night clerk when trying to check out
Close to be able to watch whales
Forced timeshare pitch by concierge is inappropriate
Rude staff when checking in. Did not accomodate to our request with room selection. Did not tell us about the fees to be paid on arrival which are apparently mandatory. Did not inform us of security deposit and was debited from our credit card without our knowledge. Room was not serviced during the 3 days of our stay, ran out of toilet paper and had to use tissues. Towels were not changed either. Broken lift resulting in having to take the stairs all day.
Heated pool with late closure of 10pm. Great tasting breakfast. Good concierges.
Got off the elevator to dated pink tile and old out of style loud green floral carpets nervous to see the room. Went to the large sit down restaurant in the hotel for what we hoped would be a great meal and was disappointed to that it was on the run down side with a poor menu and food quality.
Walked to our room and was nervous to see what was on the other side of the door. Very happy with the results. Clean, large and comfortable and renovated with a great bed. Very comfortable for our visit. Maui pizza was great food for lunch and a burger and salad or to bring to the room.
It's missing more restaurants and a more of a variety. I also think the lobby could be more welcoming!
The spacious bathroom and the room were very much appreciated! The pool was also very big. Also the complimentary parking and laundry was a great touch to have!!
Hard sell on timeshare. Info event, telling you all about the resort only on 3 times a week
Pool, closeness to beach, concierge, kitchen in room, size of rooms & beds
There's no kitchen in our room. !
The resort wasn't able to accommodate me for 3 more days stay.
The rooms were comfortable and spacious. I liked the whole resort overall. The staff were helpful and friendly.
The property is located on beachfront. Pool area was very relaxing and staff were all great and very friendly. The concierge was fantastic booking us various activities with great companies. The majority of guests are timeshare holders which is the reason for more of an older crowd than younger. You also won't see many rooms available because of the amount of timeshares allready sold, so if you see rooms available, get it now as you won't see them on short notice.
Despite we had a confirmed booking the hotel had sent us to a timeshare room in the neighbor hotel (Ka'anapali Shores). The value of this was appr. half of the booked rooms. No explanation was given. However after we realized and complained the resort manager arranged a move to what we had paid for and agreed to a partial refund. The resort fee is rather high. The breakfast buffet is rather American standard and does not reflect what the island has to offer.
Room and bathroom are modern and spacious. The pool area is nice and the staff in general helpful.
