Sister property to Royal Lahaina Resort so access to their amenities
Ants everywhere and the building is very old and rooms and bathrooms need to be updated.
We were right by the ocean which was wonderful.
Some of the facilities are a bit tired.
Location, location, location I liked the small cabanas because they have a more human and comfortable feel. Kaanapali is filled with high rise hotels and condos that feel more like NYC than Maui.
Filthy disgusting carpets and cockroaches.
Couldn't find ice machine.
The safe didn't' work. The sliding door and lock were hard to operate. Paint on small area of ceiling bad. Big deal. Lol want to sell rm 1523
The ocean front scene was fantastic slept with sliding door open to the sound of the ocean !!!!
Guest relations were not very helpful, food at the restaurant was not very good and overpriced, jacuzzi was cold, and the bathrooms were as bare-bones as I've seen. The "shuttle" to downtown Lahaina was the free shuttle to Whalers and then the Maui County bus #25.
Beach access was great, hotel lobby and bellhop staff were very friendly, relatively easy to get around.
The building we were in should be demolished and rebuilt as a handicapped facility. As is there is no elevator, no ice machine and no microwave.
The Happy Hour in the main tower. The staff was great and the location was pleasant. Closeness to the beach.
Both rooms had wall paper coming up badly, stained or dirty showers and sink/refridgerator areas. Roaches in one room and parking always seemed difficult due to the luau being right beside the building. Only one hot tub (small & usually occupied) for the entire facility.
Great location on the west end of Kaanipali. We stayed in two different rooms because a king bed was not available for our first two nights. Music and singing from the luau nightly.
The place has 3 stories, but no elevators! My wife's knee was hurting bad,and this really hindered her! Also, the fact that Kaanapali Ocean Inn actually charges for parking, after we paid good money to stay THERE!!The staff was not very helpful to answer questions.no laundry facilities!
We absolutely loved the fact that ka'anapali ocean inn is located on the beach!!!!You could hear the ocean waves every night, they would put you to sleep! It was also right on the beachside walkway, which was good for me,I like to take walks. The maids kept the place immaculate every day!!!The greeter at the booth as you drive in is very FRIENDLY!He said to me and my wife,"welcome home",whenever we drove in.VERY Comforting!
No elevator, just don't bring a lot of luggage
Great view from room. All the amenities of the resort in a smaller hotel
Lower level of building out of order. Upper 2 levels usable
Cheap, close to beach and Lahaina. Rooms okay
AC was not able to dry the room out properly. As a result, the room smelled musty.
Lower cost and tired property, isolated from main complex. Next stay I would upgrade to ocean view rooms on 2nd or 3rd floor. View shown in promotion picture is the opposite side our room was on. Our view was of the Luau support buildings. We did take advantage of watching the luau from our balcony a couple nights. Captured a post card sunset photo one evening. Only a few steps away from beach.
Rotting railings on balcony are unsafe. Paid for ocean view but had a view of the luau kitchen, could only see ocean when leaning on the previously mentioned rotting balcony. Leaking faucet in kitchen flooded countertop. Roof had multiple leaks when raining! Wifi barely registered as one bar so we weren't even able to connect to the Internet.
Great location. Close to many resorts. Love the beach walking trail through Kaanapali.
Luau several times a week close by. But not really bad.
Rooms okay, direct 50m away access to beach. Parking only 10$ at Kaanapali Beach.
Rooms need a lot of updating- you get what you pay for!
The beach was awesome! Royal lahania is a nice hotel and you can access all facilities there.
TThe resort upgrade was rooms facing the ocean with soothing waves.
The location is right on the beach and the grounds are beautiful. Ocean inn is an older building on the grounds of the royal Lahaina and all the services are available. The rooms is spacious, clean and although in need of updating everything worked. We could watch whales breech right from the beach of the hotel. I would stay here again for sure. A small fridge, sink and coffee maker made it easy to have breakfast in the room
My room was great location but needed a little TLC but was clean ,it is the oldest part of the resort
The staff so happy so helpful so willing to go the extra mile ,that's why I keep going back This trip I was solo and on crutches and they made it so easy for me
considering you have to pay for parking then have to search for a parking spot wasn't impressed with that, restaurant very expensive so a microwave and bigger fridge would of been nice.
was on a great beach, was very clean, there was free wifi, nothing wrong with location, Maui is very expensive so you get what you pay for but no complaints really
Restaurant food and drinks were pricey. Rooms are dated for sure. The AC worked well but blew right on us in the bed so even on low it was tough to keep it on at night.
We had an ocean front room and the view is spectacular! We saw whales from the balcony every day! Having access to all of the Royal Lahaina Resort facilities was great. Yes, it is right next to the Luau but we were so tired every night from the fun and sun that it didn't keep us awake at all! :)
location right next to the ocean luau available right at hotel excellent dancers at the luau friendliness of staff being able to use facilities of Royal Lahaina loved the shuffleboard whale watching right from the breakfast table located right on the beach walk
The carpet was lifting around the edges due to moisture. The wall, in the very small shower/toilet room was moist and pulling away from whatever was behind it. The air conditioner is above the bathroom and pushes ALL the smells into the main room.
The bed was comfortable, and the room was large. The sheets were clean and the room service was good. The grounds were nice
Bugs and no handicap access.
We were happy that we were given a different room in the main hotel. We were told by another couple that the cheaper part of the hotel had a lot of bugs in the room.
