Our room (#2) off home's big porch. Bedroom and bathroom both large. 1/2 block off town's main street. Coffee and o.j. in a.m. Friendly staff; helpful local dining recommendations. North Conway has may outlets including LLBean; town is great take-off point for White Mountain day trips.
Queen-size bed (prefer king).
Would stay their again . But with a bigger bed. Don't need to drive unless you want to .Great location
Bed was said to be a Queen size. Was very small more like a double bed . I had a queen size bed and this was not a queen.
Proximity to shops and restaurants allowed us to walk around to more places; off-street parking and clean room; flexible check-in; extra towels and pillows in the room; hair dryer available.
Reasonably comfortable bed but we are used to a firmer mattress, so the bed could have been better. No hair conditioner in the shower; had I known, would have packed my own. Not a big deal but noticeable.
The location, the house, the room, the decoration. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room was very hot and the air very noisy.
The Kearsarge Inn was a lovely place for our overnight stay. The room was definitely big enough for myself, mum and sister to stay in without getting in each others way. Semi private entrance to the side of the main house just behind reception. Bed was huge and the pull out sofa bed was comfortable. Bathroom was very large with plenty of space for three girls to spread all their stuff out! Nice fireplace which made the room really cozy. Great location just on main street so very close to everything but still nice and quiet. Lovely little wrap around porch to sit on in the sun. Lady on reception was very friendly, helpful and accommodating!
The only thing was the shower lacked a bit of pressure and the shower head was very high and not adjustable so not that great for us shorties!
Loved the bed and the very big bathroom with a jetted tub! The best restaurants and bars next door!
Close to trail paths for biking. Very good access to downtown. Beautiful, clean room.
Good room, well prepared and excellent location.
While we had easy access to breakfast restaurants, we had been led to believe from travel booklets that this was a bed and breakfast. Publicity should make that clear.
The location of the inn.
The fact that for the amount of money we were charged, we were given a room directly above a bar. After being out all day, you'd think you'd be able to come home and relax before going to bed. This was absolutely NOT the case. Until 11:30-11:45 (both Saturday and Sunday night) we had to listen to the bar; music blaring, people's conversations, bar stools, chairs, and tables scraping on the wood floor. It was ridiculous. NOWHERE on the website's room description does it provide any kind of detail that the "King Deluxe" sits atop a bar/restaurant. Never mind the fact that the TV in the common room did not work either. 2 people came to try and fix it for over an hour (I asked them to leave at 8:40 pm because I wanted my 3 children (ages 5, 3, and 2) to get to bed). They left and we were left with 1 of 2 functioning TV's (which was not what we came to do; watch TV, but we did pay for 2 "functioning" TV's. All in all, it didn't help the fact of the matter while checking out, when the front desk person stated "I couldn't believe how loud the bar was last night either and I was across the street!" Really?! No breakfast, no children's TV stations, definitely NOT family-friendly. Will think twice before booking here again.
The place was beautiful. The room was clean and attractive. Check and check out was easy and quick. The location was convenient.
It wasn't a cheap place to stay but i would stay there again.
Great location Quiet Roomy housekeeping was decent
Dusty odor, especially bed spread only one of each towel per day No breakfast (for the price)
The room was lovely. Close to all places of interest.
Having coffee, tea and juice available each morning, we enjoyed it on the covered porch. The location is excellent. Front desk person was very welcoming, helpful and accessible.
There was a lil confusion regarding our room because of the way we booked it. The Inn keeper went out of her way to square things away. Great location...easy walk to restaurants, stores...Friendly & clean.
They didn't offer breakfast.
Location, decor and size of our room was good.
There was a bedside table with reading lamp on only one side of the bed.
nice and spacious rooms VERY friendly staff
steep stairs quite slippery in the morning one room smelled of smoke (however faintly)
Location just off main street Closeness of good restaurants
Nothing really, but it was the only place we stayed who offered nothing but coffee in the morning.
We had one of the rooms behind the main house It was large clean and comfortable. Gale was very helpful.
Bridee was exceptionally helpful & friendly. We brought our 2 dogs with us. Bridee provided us with the names of 2 dog sitters so that we could go & enjoy the Freyburg fair for the afternoon. She also went the extra mile to make our stay pleasant.
Good location to a White Mountain National Park. Good location to town.
No breakfast included. Outdated decor. Room was dark.
This was one of the best places I've stayed at in a very long time. It is right near all the major attractions the area has to offer. The room itself was so cute. It had a soft comfy bed, a gas fireplace and everything in the room was quality. Can't wait to stay again.
We stayed in the Babe Ruth room which was appropriately decorated with the "Babe's" pictures and other memorabilia. It was exceptionally neat and clean. The bathroom was quite large and very clean. The ladies who were on duty were so helpful with information and directions. Loved the location. It was easy to walk to so much of the village.
Can't think of a thing I didn't like.
Let me start by saying we really loved our stay at the inn. The location was excellent. You can walk to the little North Conway shops and restaurants which was really nice. The mountain views are to your right and to your left which was extremely romantic and beautiful. Although they didn't offer a continental breakfast, the coffee when we woke up was very good and the perfect start to our day. There's plenty of parking and safety is not a concern. The rooms were clean and a good size.
My only complaint would be that they need to put an iron in each room and it would be nice if they had a dresser to put your clothes (they only had an armoire to hang your stuff in which didn't give you any shelving space to put your keys down or your pocketbook off the floor etc.) in and some storage space in the bathroom to put your belongings down. All they had was a small shelf and a pedestal sink so it made it hard to do your make up in there. But even with those small negatives, we would still go back. You just can't beat that location.
Warm welcome. Spacious and characterful room.
Excellent location, beautiful room
A bit expensive
