The staff was very nice and very helpful. The location is excellent - within very close walking distance of many different types of restaurants. The rooms are not really that small, but they are not deluxe either, but they are clean and comfortable and functional. It was very quiet.
Be sure to book a deluxe room for a closet, which seems sort of strange, but if you have more than one thing that needs to be hung up, you will need a closet. The TV channels are somewhat limited and the signal for some stations kept going out. This was however, in the middle of a very heavy rain storm, so I am not sure if this would always be the case or not.
Not much-even the breakfast could be better, but La Boulanger is right at the corner, good, and inexpensive.
This hotel is not even equal to Holiday Inn Express. It has no room for work, no closet, no room between the bed and the walls, no door separating the bathroom from the main room, and the list goes on. The Hotel makes it money because of Silicon Valley and the travelers coming for a day or two meeting at Facebook, Google, etc, all of whom are in Mountain View. Better hotel arrangements can actually be found south of Palo Alto. And El Camino as well as Mountain View are loaded with good restaurants. The fact that the hotel has won an award is a scam and probably due to the ignorance of the clients staying at the hotel. The quality of the rooms should dictate a price of no more than $150/night - if that. And I say this having stayed at seven different Palo Alto hotels.
The location is great, the bed is comfortable and the staff was VERY friendly. The hotel is very clean and has a nice modern feel.
Like the reviews say, the room is small. My husband and I spent 3 nights and managed to move around the room. Much longer than that might mean bringing more luggage which would make it tough for two people to maneuver around.
the staff is not just good is excellent! they are very kind and willing to help you in anything you may need.
the price is high in my opinion
Very nice but small room
No door for restroom kept felted cramped in a little space
Quality setting with first class bedding, pillows, and exceptionally clean. Close to Stanford Hospital.
The room was a little smaller, but worth the stay for our purpose.
Really loved the room and the location. Very good value at weekends. Staff friendly and helpful
Not much room to store cases and clothes for the longer term traveller.
Location, value, staff was very courteous and helpful
Clean and friendly
Wifi slow, water slow
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms are very cool, beautifully designed. We had an amazing time at this hotel!
Thin walls and expensive for what it is
Room was very small
Everything, it was close to town, quiet, friendly staff
Staff was friendly. Hotel was modern and clean
The room was tiny! And no bathroom door
Stay was comfortable! Room was small but ok for one person. Breakfast was good & the people at the front desk were very nice! Couldn't be at a better location in Palo Alto...close to everything!
No closet in the standard room & also would prefer a pocket/sliding door for the bathroom instead of a curtain! Do not get the room across from the utilities/storage room since the cleaning crew starts making noise from early morning!
The location was good. Good value for what you pay
Staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Lovely continental breakfast. Great position.
Unbelievably small bedrooms. More suitable for single occupancy but as a couple we couldn't open our suitcases without falling over them. Space too small to access bed on one side. No fridge in room or coffee making facility.
bed and shower
2F ,window is facing a wall
Fantastic experience - the linen and bedding were of high quality, the rom comfortable, yet basic. Everything you need as a business traveller.
The fact that that particular room was on the back of the hotel effectively overlooking an exceptionally busy restaurant / club - sometimes the noise got quite loud, however it stopped at 2am. The desk isn't the most well through through design in the world. not really practical to work at - for a business traveller. The lighting is incorrect and you cannot place your chair either.
location, coffee, take out box for breakfast, staff, staff, staff, modern look, nice bath products
It would be nice to have a tiny shelf next to the side of the bed that doesn't have a table... a couple of hooks to hang something, an air conditioner that is not directly over your head
The location is great, downtown palo-alto. The rooms are modern and fairly clean. Staff is helpful.
The rooms are rather small. Wifi times out every 30 minutes.
I had a wonderful stay at hotel Keen. The room felt very comfortable and well designed with a notable wall allowing me to plan my timetable for the week etc. There was a complementary Nespresso machine available at the lobby 24h which I found very welcoming.
The only down side of my room was that the window opened to a brick wall but it did not really bother me much.
When my wife entered the room and looked around, she exclaimed, "there's no closet!" I replied, "sure there is; we're in it." Which is another way of saying the room was so small there was barely room for the queen-sized bed. There was, however, a hook on which we presumably were to hang our clothes. No drawers, either. Also no door to the bathroom (thankfully, there was a bathroom), but a skimpy cloth. You can always tell the quality of a hotel by the thickness of its towels. The Keen's towels were remarkably thin. Also, the view amounted to a stucco wall about three feet away. All this for $350 a night? Absurd.
Nice little boutique hotel in a great location in downtown Palo Alto. Very convenient. Rooms are small but clean, chic, and modern -- beautiful bathrooms. Not exactly cheap, but good value.
