We came with friends to Edgartown, but we didn't like the prices at the place our friends chose. This turned out to be a good thing. Because we found the Kelly House. It was so comfortable, and the staff was great. We will return.
Our room had a damp smell to it and in my opinion was a very expensive hotel room compared to others we have stayed at.
We have been to the VIneyard many times over the years and love everything about it. The central location of the Kelley House is a big plus, the staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are large, clean and comfy. Coffee in the room is much appreciated as well as breakfast muffins and coffee in the morning. There are also complimentary snacks available in the lobby late afternoon and again in the evening if you like. All around , it's a nice place to stay for a MV getaway!!
There wasn't anything to complain about.
Location was good. Staff very friendly.
A little bit noisy while in our room.
Kelley House was close to everything: shopping, restaurants, the Chappy ferry. The morning coffee & muffin was great.
late check in - 5pm
Realy a perfect location. Just walk off the ferry straight into Edgar Town and the Kelly house. Lots of god pleaces for breakfast, lunch and diner. From simple to real good places. Shopping facilities outstanding. Beach on walking distance, but when you rent a bike (which you must) a big part of the island is all yours and you don't have to worry about the busy trafficing in the main season! There is a pool, but with the sea all around you won't realy need that.
Only one thing: we had connecting doors. We could ear almost every conversation (and other noises!) from our neighbours. Try to avoid this, if you don't need it.
Location, offers pool and parking and within walking to everything downtown
Facilities need updating- specifically the room bathroom. For price charged to stay here the expectation is much greater- so it was a little disappointing room. No minibars offerings or extras in bathroom such as cotton or qtip swabs etc. The mattress was fair at best.
Staff was excellent, very welcoming and helpful- we needed a stroller to rent and one arrived within 15 minutes. We were overtired from a stay at another hotel, and we were able to check in a little early. Location is great, love the Adirondacks in the front, bathrooms could be updated, but the decor overall is great, simple and really pretty.
The staffs attitude and the atmosphere. Very good location.
Would have been nice if they had a breakfast.
I liked the location, the amenities - pool, bikes.
Room décor was a bit tired -- needs some updating.
Staff and Location are perfect.
Price. A liitle bit expensive.
We were upgraded to a beautiful suite.
Reservations were mixed up. Summer staff new very new and not properly trained, but I understand as they were VERY newly on the island.
Clean hotel, nicely located in Edgartown with large comfortable rooms. And with a swimming pool for when the weather is just a bit too iffy to go to the beach. ;-)
The location was great. The morning muffins and evening cookies were delicious. The outdoor pool was a good size. The room was roomy.
There was a slight moldy smell in the room.
I love everything about this hotel. It is located in the heart of Edgartown, in the center of activity on Martha's Vineyard. A perfect comfort level (with great air conditioning - a must in the summer!), great space, a refrigerator in the room, and perhaps the friendliest, most accommodating staff I have ever encountered. Great place!
Rooms were too warm,
No notification of renovations taking place, or restaurant closing but charged 50% more than prior year. New owners, New policies?
Central location, charming building and large rooms. The bed was comfortable.
Heating system is dated. Our room was very warm even though is was cold outside. The only way to cool the room was to open the windows, which helped a little bit.
Welcoming fireplace on entry, coffee and muffins in morning, cookies at night. Extremely comfortable bed, spacious room. Location is perfect .
Sound proofing is not good so noise in adjacent rooms is an annoyance.
We stayed there over Christmas for 8 days. On Christmas morning there was a little stocking filled with candy waiting for us when we opened the room door. Coffee every morning in the lobby. Cookies and milk at night. Staff were very nice. Attached restaurant, The Newes, has always been my fave in Edgartown.
Rooms are a little old but clean. A refurb would be welcome but, of course, that would raise the price. I would appreciate having coffee or hot water available in the lobby for more than just the morning. There are little machines n the rooms, so they have that covered, but I wouldn't mind coffee with the cookies at night.
Chris, the manager, was very friendly and helpful. He made us feel very welcome and told us where the best places on the island were. We had a great stay!
Facilities were perfect. Bed was really comfortable.
