Very nice place. Very good value.
I did not realize there was a difference between Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, so this wound up being a ways off from where I wanted to be, but the price was excellent.
musty smell; shower and shower stall not very good.
Great inexpensive accommodation!
Not much. The proprietess was nice.
Mold in shower/tub which I did not use after taking one look. Rest of bathroom mostly clean and sink, toilet, floor were new. Bed clothes awful, carpet very dingey and dirty, furniture had a severe old tag sale appearance. TV tiny. It was very grim . I was aware the cheap price could be a warning of shabbiness, but this place was awful.
Is it the Ritz? No. Is it a safe, quiet, inexpensive, reasonably clean place to stay? Yes. I like to support local business and finding an independently owned and operated motel these days is difficult. I like to leave positive reviews so I'll start with the good. Location is lovely. It's just a short distance from the coast, but far enough from the crowds to be quiet and private. The grounds are well kept and there is ample parking. The owner was friendly and helpful and happy to show us a map & give us directions. The cottages are darling and in good repair. Our unit was clean (reasonably). It did not smell. It did not have stained carpets or sheets or broken items. The little cottage was cute even if the bathroom was oddly positioned (the sink was in the bedroom). Everything worked, the water pressure was great. The water did take a while to heat up, but I think we were sharing a hot water heater (see-request stand alone cottage) and our neighbors were up and about, too. The not so good. Keep in mind that nothing in the "not so good" would keep me from staying here again. There were no bugs, weird smells, stains, flickering lights or bodies under the bed. Overall, we had a nice stay, and would choose this motel again in the future if we were making this trip again. Room Tip: Ask for a stand alone cottage.
With the shared wall with another unit on the other side of the cottage, it was easy to hear anything and everything going on in the other unit, and I'm sure we were just as audible to them. The mattress was older and could use an upgrade. The shower knob had mold under the face plate and down in the plastic ball. Since the shower head could use an upgrade, too, I think it'd be easier to replace the whole thing rather than taking it apart and scrubbing it out. The free WIFI was a bit flaky, but that's easily fixed.
I liked the fact there were ceiling fans in each room. The large picture window. The massive Rush of the toilet flush was impressive and the central location to everything was convenient. .
The bed was hard as a brick and out dated. The TV was horrible "IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON MAN =)!!" The shower heads were, let's just say exfoliating...
Very 'tired' property.
Location was excellent. Sitting on your personal porch looking at the lovely grounds and trees. Giant pool. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We are definitely going back next year.
very run down. bathroom too small shower tiny
Very confortable room (20)- decoration a bit tired but clean, hot showers, slept really well beds comfortable. Close to places to eat, Square Toes and Duffy's- walking distance. Proprieters very helpful. Definitely value for money Close to beaches.
Shame there aren't any tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but coffee is available in the reception area. Don't bother with the Maine Diner - a few minutes drive away- overpriced and food mediocre
Needs alittle paint but overall ok. Needs body Mirrors in rooms
The location and landscape was excellent! We had a very clean and spacious room "older decor". It was very quiet and we were able to sleep without interruptions. The staff was very nice and check in/out was fast. The value for your money was excellent. Wi-Fi available for no charge. Refrigerator and TV also available. Would definitely stay again!
late night check in
Tiny shower and uncomfortable bed.
room was very mildewy - smelled very bad, & got into our clothes, carpet needs replaced no safety bar in the shower, leaky faucets in shower
The cottage was pleasant and cozy.
Cottage 8 had terrible wifi service because it is the furtherest from office.
The hours of the office were poor. The weren't open when you needed them.
Very pleasant stay with access to everything. Older motel, but very clean and staff was very helpful and accommodating - we would recommend it to anyone and hope to return to the area ourselves.
When we first walked in, we were stunned to see how big the cottage actually was. It was very cozy and perfect for out stay. Wish we could have stayed longer.
- the dirty room - the filthy bathroom where the shower was so dirty that I showered in my flip flops. The chairs in the room were so dirt-stained that I refused to even put my bag on it. I was so disgusted that I slept fully clothed. It only seemed as if our room, cottage #15 was this filthy, b/c other people didn't seem as perturbed. Do not stay here! I don't know how people gave this place even a decent rating!
Clean, comfortable and cozy. Owners were great.
There was a desk bridged across two dressers. It was not anchored and it crashed down on my legs while I was on my computer. I was not hurt but they should attach the desk to prevent a serious injury.
Dirt, toe nails, guitar pics and whatever other flakey material that was in the beds! Ugh! Gross!
Cheap price Friendly staff
Kinda old, damp, and a little musty Really slow and sometimes no WiFi Traffic is horrible to Ogonquit (30min for a 10min drive) If you are looking for a romantic getaway, go somewhere else
Beautiful large pool and yard. Pretty, homey, and friendly.
Clean with functional kitchenette, comfortable bed, friendly staff
Would have liked to stay longer but could only afford one night
