The train driving by 3 times
beds and breakfast were great, as well as staff.
pool could have been cleaner. Too much foam in the hot tub.
Pool needed to be cleaned
Staff, facilities always great. We stay here whenever we go to Kent to visit family.
Bed was somewhat harder than we are used to.
First and foremost, there was a terrible smell in the rooms; it was like dead bodies mixed with Lysol and cigarette smoke. Everything was sticky and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The pool and hot tub and had a layer of pond scum like substance floating on top. The pool area and hallways had trash piling up. We had to stay because we had come from out of town, arrived late and could not find another dog friendly hotel in the area that we thought would be any better. I've stayed at some very nice dog friendly hotels, so the pets aren't to blame for this hotel's nastiness. I couldn't wait to check out early; although I was really hesitant to touch the sticky pen they gave me to sign my invoice. I told the Manager and staff their hotel was disgusting and that we would be checking out early. The said, while making no eye contact, "uh...sorry...we won't charge you for the dog."
breakfast was excellent, large spa in room, clean rooms
train noise at night
The staff was great. The sauna was wonderful! Thanks for a great stay.
Breakfast could have had a few more selections.
The room was spacious. Our check in process was fast and friendly.
Being charged for a room safe that was never used. Being nickeled and dimed. The room was facing the main street so we heard every train loud and clear while trying to sleep. Pull out bed is horrible. Hallways were dirty our entire stay. Check out was a hassle.
Good price. Comfortable and clean room with nice linens. The bed was comfortable. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful.
I did not get much sleep because the train went right by the facility THREE times. I t blew it's whistle and was very loud. That is why I gave the location a fair grade. Otherwise it was close to many things.
Old building, however great service and very good Internet.
Train beside the hotel
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was roomy. Really appreciated the handicap bars and shower. Trains never bothered us.
the breakfast eating area - not enough room when hotel was busy. No decaff coffee !!! Would have liked hot water for tea or hot choc. in the evening. Need far more counter space in the bathroom - no where to lay out our toilettries.
Beds are comfortable, facility is nice enough. The breakfast was great.
The hotel is right next to the train, and expect no fewer than five trains to wake you up every night. The walls are pretty thin as well, and we had some rowdy neighbors. The management tries to get people to be quiet and has signs posted everywhere reminding people to settle down after 10, but don't expect to sleep a whole lot.
Very nice accommodations.....
My CC was charged before I checked in and after I paid cash for the room they charged it again. All was resolved after numerous phone calls to my CC Company.. Very Poorly handled.......
Bed was clean and comfortable. Room and building was 'clean enough', but not really clean.
Had previously read another review before booking about trains and their horns, and discounted that comment as someone just being a complainer. Sure enough, a train and it horn blowing just about the time you drifted off to sleep.....all evening, night and morning. Why build a hotel at such a location without good sound insulation?
Perhaps it's the lack of common courtesy, but we were up and down all night with families and single people talking loudly, slamming doors, running up and down the bouncy 2nd story balcony hall. It was a poor sleep.
Staff were attentive and gracious like at higher end lodgings. Complimentary cocktails were a nice touch.
There was more chlorine in the pool than water. The walls are paper thin, We could have a normal volume conversation through the walls. The people in the room next to us fought and yelled til 3am. It took management 4 day to take care of this.
location and pool the breakfast was very nice
inadequate plastic flatware for eating. A waffle could not be cut by fork or knife. There is better plastic available. The soap dispenser in the bathtub can not be reached while sitting in the tub.
The staff were friendly on the night shift took excellent care of us when we checked in at 1:30 am. Rooms were decent and beds were comfortable, curtains kept the light out.
Can't say the same for the day staff they were not interested in helping anyone. The breakfast was awful. Toaster took almost five minutes to make toast longer for bagels.
Close to Everything. Not too crowded. Decent beds. Eucalyptus soap. Wifi. 2 beers a night. Lol.
Small scale. Little pool. Little feel. Train tracks. Interstate. Gas station. Sausage eggs wafflemakerwaityourturn again blahhhhggghhh!
Loved the room and the staff was very friendly.
That the pool wasn't open 24 hours!
a lot of people in the parking lot who didn't appear to be guests at the facility.
