location, bath products
No airconditioning, dirty carpets and walls.
Great staff upon arrival! Daniel behind the desk was terrific! Wifi was up and down during our stay there. Room is small but that is normal for SanFran
The location was very good. The staff was friendly.
The hotel is old. No chair in my room. The bathroom is very old and shower water pressure was very poor. The size was very small. Totally impractical for a couple. Elevator too small.
no Air Conditioning Room looked old
Smaller, manageable hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location.
Smells old, but nice
Small elevator and stairs
Service from Daniel & Etienne was excellent. They were both very friendly & helpful.
Very bad wi-fi connection. Third party support recommended to go to lobby to get connection. Very old windows - street noise Very small - coffee machine was placed in walk-in closet Expected more for the price
Location Staff Obvious Recent Remodel
Small elevator No Air Conditioning Small Bathroom
Location,Staff,Renovated rooms,Quite,Relatively good value for money
The location of this hotel just 1 block from Union Square means it is an ideal base for exploring San Francisco on foot. It's just a couple of blocks from Powell St BART as well so easy access from airport. Free wifi, room safe, comfortable bed, coffee facilities are all positives.
With the central location comes some street noise. The rooms do not have double glazed windows so it can be quite noisy. If you're used to the city then probably not a problem, but if you're used to quiet then it may be an issue. Not a particular problem for us but the rooms do not have A/C, only a ceiling fan. Some of the décor is in need of a spruce up, but it kind of has a shabby chic about it.
Comfortable beds! Separate bedside reading lights! Wi Fi in rooms..instantly accessible! Good water pressure! Fact that bellhop Juan brought us two luggage racks--two people, two suitcases need two luggage racks! 20% discount coupons for Lori's and Cafe Mason
Noisy Trash pickup in alley which seemed to continue from 5 to 6 am..(I know that is not your fault but..) One elevator for a 9 story hotel :-(
A lot of noise outside during the night. Bad quality Wi-Fi in the room.
Location would have been hard to beat. Right around the corner from Union Square.
The rooms are tired...but they are doing them up. There is nothing wrong with the rooms (bit cramped but not drastic). It's not the Ritz but comfortable. Nice real USA diner next door.
Very small rooms hot and stuffy wifi only in lobby
value; nice clean bathroom
Could have used a double instead of two twins
Location is perfect, the room are small, but clean and confortable. The staff is helpful.
We had a room facing the back-alley, it was VERY noisy at night (wierd people shouting, people trowing out garbage at 4h00, etc.) Earplugs were a must to be able to sleep. Maybe rooms facing other areas are better.
The room we stayed in was remodeled and very nice.
Great location !
Expensive and no services!
Clean and centrally located
the Double bed for people who are used to sleeping on a King; the safe that was locked open (I asked it to be repaired/replaced and they removed it 2 days later and never replaced); no mini fridge in room; Staff seemed undertrained and unable to provide basic information (I called for room service while looking at the menu for room service only to be told that the hotel did not have room service); there was only one elevator (for guest AND staff use) and it was about the size of a linen closet.
The hotel was in a great location just a block off union square. There was a diner on each side of the hotel both were great to eat at.
The rooms are very small, the elevator at peak times was a very long wait.
Absolutely loved king george, amazing location, comfortable bed and nice bathrooms
Noisy air conditioning, room service too early and woke us up once
Location was fairly convenient
Rooms were tiny and the bathroom you could barely move in. You had to look to the side for the mirror in the bathroom which was weird. There was no dresser to put your clothes in if you were staying a longer time which we were. The halls smelled like smoke maybe because they were trying to provide a European feel? Pillows were like foam and were super uncomfortable. I don't think I'll stay here again.
Although the hotel bar is quite quiet, Luis makes it so worthwhile. Great personality and great info about San Fran.
Room is a bit smaller than expected
