Location and value
Very small bathroom.
The staff are so good. Great location.
Location was great, right by union square. Staff friendly, parking across the street for $34 for 24 hrs which is good for the SF
Over charged! When they printed out the invoice I told them it was more than what had been agreed with Booking.com - they said that it needed to be taken up with Booking.com - gave no explanation or help - chasing it up with Booking.com now which left a bitter taste!
Staff friendly, clean premises, centrally located.
Cramped room even tho I was told it was an upgrade. Slow elevator. Too pricey for what I got.
The bed was really comfortable
Loud hallways, sounded like the people where there were in my room.
Great location. Easy access to everything we needed.
The doors slammed really hard when leaving the room. Hope we didn't startle anyone close by!
The Location is Perfect........
Location is fabulous. The rates are not too bad either for the area when compared to other hotels in the same area. Well I've seen lot of people complaining about the size of the rooms but trust me all the star hotel rooms in the vicinity are also of the same size.
Ceiling fan was kind of noisy
King George is very close to Union Square - 2 min by walking. There are parking garages nearby if you are travelling by car. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wifi was strong and fast in my room. And the price was great considering other options nearby.
I was on the first floor and the room was very low. My hand hit the ceiling as I was putting my t-shirt on. This was not a problem in upper floors.
Room was too warm without turning on the cooling - and that was in winter!
We've stayed at the King George many times. The staff is always kind, responsive and helpful and the location can hardly be beat: it's 2-3 blocks from everything "Union Square" and SF's transportation hub. It's a small hotel and not particularly fancy but, for the location, it's well maintained and the price it right.
Convenient. Desk staff was amazingly friendly and welcoming. Hotel is old so rooms are small but pretty and comfortable. Had no problems with anything. Great value.
Who likes expensive valet parking? But, it was very convenient and worth it.
More than coffee for breakfast (croissants?) would be nice.
Liked the location Great shower - lots of hot water and plenty of water pressure clean bathroom
Did not like the street noise all night long Bed was saggy
I specifically asked for a king bed and paid the 500 bucks and ended up not getting what I paid for and requested. When I booked it said only thing available was a king room. Yet when I checked in I got a room with two beds facing the alley!
Didn't like they gave away my room and didn't even attempt accomidate me for their mistake.
They messed up my reservation gave me a smaller room than booked.
The location was perfect! The purpose of our trip was to see A Christmas Carol and we couldn't have picked a closer hotel. The accommodations were nice, the room was bright, and the staff was friendly and prompt. I would definitely stay here again.
We were looking for a hotel that was centrally located so we could walk to all the shopping and dining we could fit in in the short amount of time we were staying in San Fran. We got all that, plus more when we checked into our room and saw that it was adorable and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It also helped that there is the coolest duel piano bar just around the corner. A must see. We will definitely be staying here again.
Good value for the money Location a block from Union Square Lots of restaurants nearby Close to public transit
Rooms and bathroom are small (cruise-ship size) No vending machines or any kind of food within the hotel No shampoo in the rooms
location is great.
room and elevator are small.Sometimes the wifi is unstable.
Proximity to Union Square & the many entertainment activities in the area is a big plus....
There was nothing to dislike about our experience in the hotel...However, the lack of the usual hotel amenities were conspicuous by their absence....
rooms too small
Location, easy access to public transport, clean, amazing toiletries, okay bed. Our room was away from the street, so only little street noise. Valet parking for 35 dollars - in SF that's fair.
This hotel needs an update. A bit noisy.
