I like everything, it is worth the cost and is close to all outlets.
The room and bathroom need work....drapes dirty...rug worn...bathroom had mold
Good location and price.
From the 50s and a little shoddy. Maintained pretty well but getting old. Oops, sounds like us!
We had a cabin with all the necessisities, good shower and bed, enough room to sit and work in the evening, it even had a cosy feel. We were visiting our daughter, a student in Durham, and decided to prolong our stay for a few days instead of moving to Boston for the last days of our holidays. Instead we made a daytrip to Boston (one hour drive) and saved us the money for an expensive hotel over there.
Ot would have been nice to have some real glasses and cups for drinks instead of all the plastic. But I guess, that's the American way. Even in more expensive hotels everything is throw-away plasic these days.
cleanliness and the fact it was off the well travelled path.
This is a lovely little old-fashioned motel, with quaint knotty pine everywhere. The room was very large, the bed was wonderfully comfortable, it was quiet, and easy to find from the highway. The rates were very reasonable, especially for the New England coastal area. We'll be back for sure! We just loved this place, and have recommended it to several friends who also like to vacation in New England.
Central location, cleanliness
Needs an update
rooms need updating TV on wall in room dangerous. right at head level bathroom very small kitchen area rusted and old some dishes no complete sets of anything no paper towel or Kleenex in room
We stayed in a single queen cottage and it was perfectly suited for what we needed. There was a couch and table there but we spent the night out for lobster. Only there for one night so I'm not sure what the area is like for more than that. Shower was nice although bathroom tiny!
Again, only there for one night so there wasn't much to base it on. Just one stop of many but it was comfortable, quiet and in our price range.
front to back views
had trouble working the tv remote. it would not communicate with the cable box easily. the shower was not at all inviting. i chose not to take one
The place was cozy Very clean
The staff was very unfriendly The location was poor We felt unwelcome We felt as though we were a bother, nor guests.
Planned on finding somewhere else for the next night in Maine, ended up liking it so much we stayed another night. Cottages are cute and a nice change for a great price, owners are quiet and don't interfere but maintain rules about common courtesy. And it's a prefect distance from the outlets and right in between the zoo and the water park! Nice little convenience store two minutes away. seems to attract polite enjoyable people. Have every intention of staying the next summer for longer!
It had Wifi. It was centrally located and easy to get on and off I-95 and into Kittery or Portsmouth. It was quiet. It was clean which is very very important to me. I asked for a refrigerator and I had that and a microwave waiting for me. Being on a special diet, that helps.
Maybe not enough outlets for electronic hookups and needed a little more lighting near the table. I just needed a bed and a shower so I could visit the area. I was not there very much, I was very busy so it was ok for me.
No hairdryer. Old TV, lights do not work, very small bathroom etc.
Size & cleanliness of the room.
Advertised a pool but the pool had only about two feet of water on it & had I not had family that stayed else where that would have been a huge disappointment for my daughter.
We were travelling from Boston to Maine and the location to the Hotel to the expressway was convenient.
Room was very shabby and the bed uncomfortable. I thought for the price it was quite expensive.
no phone old worn sheets no closet hot water was cold; cold water hot Stove smelled
They advertised a pool which had no water in it and chickens running around in the enclosure
The bed was terrible. They had a 2x4 under the mattress to level the bed
ripped window screens, door banged as the stopper had been pulled out of the wooden frame, smelled like urine
My wife Destiny and I booked the cottage (cabin A) from tuesday-saturday. My wife and I enjoyed the stay the space was nice and personal. We would definitely stay again when in the Maine area. In fact we would check these cottages first if we were going to visit this area of Maine
The only suggestion I would recommend is a system for guest to decline housekeeping on days they would not like this service, maybe something to hang on the door. Cleaning service is great and much appreciated nonetheless It was a little awkward when my wife and I just drove down old post road to go to the 7 eleven on the corner and returned to our cottage being cleaned. We had to wait a bit. But if you are a family who plans a lot of oit door activities while visiting and will have arrangements for meals this is the best place. Thank you Northeaster Motel
Location Comfortable Rustic
As I was making my final check (to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything, I notice some long dark hairs at the foot of the bed that did not belong to me:(
