The night staff were very nice and tried hard to accommodate me, but the motel was in such disrepair, they were not really able to do much. There was a good refrigerator and a decent microwave.
This was probably the worst motel I have ever stayed at--and I have stayed at several low-priced Atlantic City motels. I had such an unpleasant experience that I actually checked out mid-stay, which I have never done before. Clearly, the motel had fallen on hard times and there was no money for maintenance or repair. There was no maid service for three days, and when the service finally came, they woke me and said I could either have it before a certain time or not at all--they were not willing to ask the maid to stay half an hour longer to take out the trash that had piled up and to clean my room. The sheets had stains, but I could not get them changed. Flies gathered in the room every time I opened the door at night. The shade on the window was broken, so you had to arrange it by hand rather than with the cord. The bathroom had a weird smell and the shower curtain was falling down because the holders had become detached from the wall. The overhead lights were a weird fluorescent that was like a bus station (though there was a decent bedside lamp). The beds were sagging and clearly the mattresses were sprung. The outdoor lights were burnt out, making it challenging to see where to turn off from the road. The dead bolt on the door was partially broken (though it turned partway). When I checked in, it took more than an hour to find me a room where the TV worked--we went from room to room, so clearly, many are in disrepair.
Cheap place to stay on a Saturday night in AC.
