Knights Inn Sarasota    

All the amenities we needed (microwave, refridgerator, safe, coffee maker, hair dryer) and more. We had a king sized bed AND a pullout bed. Room was spacious and well laid out. A very pleasant surprise considering the value price. Would recommend to anyone needing to stay in the area.

The service was very good. There was a free continental breakfast and there was also a refrigerator in our room. We enjoyed using the outdoor swimming pool.

the swimming pool was clean but not inviting. the orange juice served for breakfast was watered down. no apple juice was available.

My brother and his family were staying in Longboat Key and this was convenient for me. The price for one night's stay was good for me also.

When I went into the room I saw a cockroach on the wall. I actually had to open the curtains to see it. There were only 3 small lights on the walls: one at each bed and one above the table opposite the beds. The room was very dark. I had to leave a light on for me when I went out. I worried all night about cockroaches and bedbugs, although I didn't see more of either.

Price and amenities in room and location

The rooms were very clean, had a nice Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. The rooms were also quiet at night and the pool was small but not too crowded and clean. The location is very close to numerous Sarasota shops, activities, etc and just a short drive to Siesta Key.

Well...the traffic around the area makes the hotel difficult to navigate to and from, but that's not a fault on them.

The rooms were clean. The bed was very comfortable and we also enjoyed being by the pool.

Comfortable bed, the room is very large, the location is okay.

Furnishings were dated bathroom floor was not clean walls / doors needed cleaning / paint was charged more than quoted on booking.com exterminator came to spray the motel while we were there, we were just leaving and I went back to see if I could move some of our belongings out of his way. He said it wasn't a problem, he would spray around them. As I stood and watched him spraying our shoes, clothing, etc. I asked him if I could please move some of our things because he was spraying them. He said he wasn't spraying them, and proceeded to spray around the room, and when he sprayed at both sides of the bed, he sprayed our bedding. By this point, we didn't even report it to the manager, as he didn't act all that friendly most of the time we were there. We were on the first floor, and could hear everything that went on in the room above us, especially the foot traffic.

The manager was really friendly. We were 2 females travelling and he made us feel safe and welcome.

Outdated - plywood covering a hole in the wall - bolt lock did not work on door - no coffee pot or other amenities.

Not much of anything

Dirty, moldy, smelly and damp. Ac barely worked, sub floor was rotting under old smelly carpet. Wifi didn't work and I was directly in front of office where it came from. In a bad part of town complete with thugs and hookers walking the streets

The location is great, near attractions and restaurants and downtown. Very helpful and friendly service. Can't beat the price and nice accommodations.

Everything!! especially the big fluffy bath towels. The fridge and microwave were very useful.

Breakfast was good, with adequate choices but would have liked somewhere to sit and eat. Only option is to carry it back to your room or stand in reception to eat.

I was pleasantly surprised when the manager offered me a room option that better met my needs. Exhausted upon arrival, as I looked around, I noticed the details. This hotel was maintained with great care. Although modest, everything was carefully presented. The room was clean, everything worked well........it was clear that there was a consistency of care and pride in the maintenance and presentation of the hotel.

Location--breakfast was adequate.

Everything was fine--nothing to dislike. Bath area had some wall mold, but nothing major.
