AKA Central Park  

We were in Aka Central Park hotel for 7 nights in July 2011.the hotel is very well located near fifth avenue and central park. We received a nice room well equiped .The staff is really nice and we can feel they make all the efforts in order to please the clients. We appreciated Rachel Weinstein , Miguel and we wish to thank especially Leighanne Champion for all the help she gave us, for her patience , her professionalism and her kindness. If we come back to the U.S.a , in New York, we will come back for sure to the Aka Central Park hotel.

Location and stuff. Breakfast is quite nice but not cheap.

bath room sink no room for toiletries---air conditioning didn't work properly------bed was uncomfortable----we had to check out exactly at 11:00 and our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 1:45. Not very accommodating

I loved that it was like"a home away from home." The hotel is well situated and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The gym was excellent and the lattes from the cafe were fabulous.

Perhaps the room needed to be cleaned more often as once in 9 days is probably insufficient if there are more than one person. Other suggestions would be: chair and table to sit and eat, complimentary basket of tea, coffee and sugar,

Location

The rooms are heavily scented with an unnecessary, overpowering perfume smelling fragrence. I had to leave the window open for 5 hours to get rid of the awful scented smell. Also, the doormen and porters are the worst I've ever come across, they behaved as though doing their job was a big inconvenience. I checked out at 11am and left my bags there until mid-afternoon, which is normal when checking out of a hotel if your flight isn't until later, except when I returned to collect my bags I was made to wait 20-minutes by doormen and porters who basically seemed to hate working at the place. Very unprofessional.

terrible street noise, very disturbed night as a result. Staff say they are aware of problem (garbage collection at 4am, etc) and are reglazing hotel windows but this is a lengthy process

Location, friendly staff, ability to self cater.

Started charging for wi-fi, previously was free. Tried to print out boarding passes in busines lounge 3 x Macs not working, 1 x PC worked but didn't have adobe reader installed. ended up forwarding to front desk.

Very Efficient check in and check out; clean room; excellent location.

A perfect location in New York, and a confortable room with a small kitchen ( fridge, micro wave, ...).a quiet room, same if it was located on the street. Room with airdryer, iron and iron table, safe, and free wifi.

Water noise in the bathroom, and air conditionning(very dry air in the room).

Great location excellent rooms just wish some rooms had two beds
