The staff was very welcoming. The design was interesting, best for one person I think. Very convenient to all of waikiki

Central location for Waikiki. Very friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable. Value for money.

Very noisy into the early hours on the Saturday night/Sunday morning, but my room did overlook Kuhio Avenue; the other 8 nights were ok.

very handy to most places, to visit and shop. easy access for buses and strolls around the neighbour hood to beaches.

the decor needs to be up dated but very reasonable for the price.

Convenient for most things. Laundry and iron, local buses right outside ( you could easily get " The Bus" to Ala Moana shopping Centre where you can change buses to everywhere, find a large food court or shop for anything that isn't in the ABC shop.

*i loved the room ...looked like we were in Honolulu with the interior (couches, fan...) * nice! size bathroom. love the bed hidden so we could have more room...GREAT idea. your staff is wonderful! *we stayed at Maile but will not anymore...we will difinetly stay again!!!

*the outside looks of the hotel doesnt do justice. when we pulled up i told my husband i was not staying there. *no parking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was cheap and pretty clean. I was pleasantly surprised.

The lady that checked me in was so rude! She didn't even acknowledge me until I had been standing there almost a whole minute and didn't serve me until almost another minute later. I work at a front desk too and I was horrified by the slow service

I like that you had a doctors office on location in case of emergency. safe access to hotel after hours.

outdated appearance in rooms. Would like to see an actual bed in rooms.

This modest hotel was very well located, clean, quiet, comfortable, a great value, and the staff was very friendly and helpfull, as was most everyone we met in Hawaii.

Uncomfortable sofas--too low & soft, too deep (large sofa pillows would help) 2.uncomfortable mattress & unfitted mattress pad kept sliding around & bunching up 4. no DVD player. 5. decorative verticle wood trim over living room mirrors collect dust, make room seem smaller than if the mirrors were not covered, & are undoubtedly a housekeeping nightmare - ours was load with dust bunnies, especially higher up, but housekeeping cleaned them when we requested it.

I thought the location was great! Right in front of bus stop, and was close to everywhere I wanted to go.

Coffee maker was broken. The light bulb needed to be replaced and although I made a request, they didn't give me a new one.

We like very much the location accessible to transportation, beaches and easily located.

It was close to the beach and it had one if those beds that you pull out of the walls (I have for many years wanted to try this). It is a good place to wake up, grab a sandwich and a coffee from the bakery then hit Waikiki Beach. At night, plenty of places to partay on the vacay. I could check in early without any problems. The staff didn't seem exceptionally kind with their demeanor but through their actions they were quite wonderful. They were prompt and clear with bus directions, and one member of staff, after her shift was over and had go e home, came back to the hotel to help me out. Very thoughtful and appreciated.

A bit dingy. Ciggy stains on the floor. Found a cockroach crawling over my toothbrush. Not the hotel's problem. It is a cheap place to crash.

Location, location, location, and availability of street parking. The unit was comfortable.

No lanai.

We have requested 2 rooms aside and we got them. We requested a parking lot and we got one in an indoor parking . We have everything for beach: chairs, umbrella and one cooler.

The location is great. Service at the front desk was welcoming and great. Privacy and noise was very respectable!

The elevator was a bit slow, but I liked the easy access stairs. No complaints really. :)

This hotel definitely is "NOT" a friendly' clean and quiet place to stay. I can't wait to leave this hotel. The attitude of lobby's woman is really bad (An older fat woman). If your English isn't fluent, you will feel very trouble and embarrassing when you talk to her. Choosing a wrong hotel could destroy whole trip. She did! In addition, house keeper didn't clean my room when I stayed in Kuhio Banyan Hotel within five days. Futhermore, it is always noisy around this hotel even midnight. I strongly recommend "DO NOT" consider this hotel if you want to enjoy your Hawaii trip.

Hotel did not have a pool, sauna, or fitness room.

Everything! Room smelled of mildew, hard murphy bed, loud area.

We liked the location because it was so central, and it was quite budget friendly and mostly comfortable.

It was a bit shady at night and very noisy with bars right next to it and in fact one located just below our room in the same building. I would not have wanted to have kids out late on that street. The bed was quite uncomfortable.
