staff, and cleanliness, iformation they gave perfect locatiom
too far to go for ice
Location very near Canal st and French Q; street car across the street. !st stop of shuttle bus from airport and last pick-up to airport ($38 round-trip). Huge, clean, wonderful room -- with a separate living room and bedroom, toilet and bath, and kitchen! TerRon at the front desk is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable with everything N'Awlins!
Weak wifi in bedroom, but just go to the living room. No breakfast option.
Right on tram line, close to everything, great bed and bath!
Internet weak, tv fuzzy. But we didn't come to sit in our room!
The room was really big and nice.
It was impossible to open the windows. This means no fresh air and it is all air conditioning 24 hours. And this makes the room unnecessarily cool. They should just make a re-arrangement so that the residents can open and close the windows on their own initiative.
After the first room I was sent to was not cleaned, I was upgraded to a suite. While it was spacious and bright, it showed age. The bed was very comfortable and linens were nice. Housekeeping did its best to keep the aging place clean. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating.
The sofa needs a cleaning, the sinks & counters were stained & in need of fresh caulk, the shower head only "watered around the edges" and the tv reception was not the best. Better lighting is needed in the bedroom. Too dim to read a book at night.
Great bed, good location, huge bedroom, very clean bathroom
Parking expensive, no breakfast, lack of light into the room, wifi too slow
Location, staff and restaurant
The hotel needs an upgrade with the basic amenities of the bathroom sorely in need of repairs. The hair dryer is not even mounted, there is chalky mildew around the sink. The room facing the street is extremely noisy and shakes when passing traffic goes by.
It was a beautiful old hotel, very nice for what we paid. Had a queen bed and a sofa bed, I slept like a log in the sofa bed :) we walked to the French Quarter and took a "taxi" bike ride to get back.
Wish the parking was included in the price. It was $36 just to park with them :( we actually ended up parking in front of the government building right beside the hotel. You just have to feed the meter or pay by phone.
Price, comfort, staff great.
Location not perfect, but for the price, not bad.
Great place central to most things. Staff gave us Information and booked tours for us. Highly recommended especially for the price
Little far from French quarter. Area gets quiet after about 10pm. We got a cab home after each night out which was about $6+tip
I liked the location of the hotel for the price. I understand the hotel is one hundred years old and I appreciate that history.
I thought some improvement to the bathroom was necessary. The towel rack was missing, The toilet lid had a film of something on it, yuck.
Could not even get a cup of water to the room .... mean housekeepers.. not good customer service...
simple, friendly staff, the hotel had an old New Orleans charm.
in retrofitting the bathroom for the disabled, the workmanship was not the best. That detracted from the appearance.
Stayed 3 nights. Great location and walking distance to Bourbon st (maybe 5-7 minutes) and main city area. Absolutely beautiful location and very safe. Staff could not have been more welcoming, lovely and helpful. Room was huge and spotlessly clean. Would look no further for my next trip!!
Excellent everything...great staff and awesome room at a reasonable rate for people of all walks of life.
The street car stops in front of the door. Its a very short walk to Canel street. The staff was very helpful. Shante and Ter'ron was very friendly and helpful. I travel a lot its nice to walk into a hotel and have a since of ownership your entire stay. Those two guys were the best keep up the good work.
The staff was very nice and had great recommendations for placed to eat etc. The room was nice and comfy and the location was excellent! Thanks to all for a wonderful visit.
Parking was a little tough, but an easy trade for the great location.
The rooms were recently renovated so they were amazingly clean and super spacious!!! Loved the fact that the bedroom was separate from the living room area...
Parking was a pain but after the locals filled us in on the parking meters it was all good...
Location and hotel size
No 24 hours room service
We had difficulty finding anything to eat or drink upon returning after our venue closed; also the person checking us in was not aware of our late check in not request for late check out. She offered no other solutions. The storm delayed us 5 hours driving & we felt after that horrible experience, the clerk was very remiss about offering places to get dinner or brkfst/brunch. We just walked and stopped to grab something on way to venue.
Our late check in from the road was delayed due to horrendous storms & flooding. Upon arriving, were told the restaurant could not accommodate us. We asked for suggestions, none given.just told there were numerous en-route do dyop in one. We had a blocked off street due to wedding on some end& cabs blocking. & an accident on other side so we had to walk to venue in rain. No meals. Everything was closed upon returning.phone began ringing at 8am to see if we were still in room. I relayed late check out. was awakened at 10 a.m. This time. I asked them again to please let us have our late checkout and she said at that time 1100 would be the latest that we could today when I said 1200 would be better she take rest. At exactly 12 o'clock the fun began ringing to make sure that we were checking out and leaving your keys downstairs I felt that it was very pushy and unaccommodating . I like the hotel I liked our rooms I like the few I like everything about it I did not like the way we were treated the pumping checked in nor the access to amenities when I tried to ask for help.
How spacious the rooms were
Wasn't sure if I had to pay to use wifi
Malfunction water tap & noisy air-con
Clean and quiet at good price at that.
location - staff
not very near eating places - no restaurant/cafe at hotel
The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful
