The bed was very comfortable and it was a very large room. The staff was awesome and very helpful. We arrived right during the Christmas parade and the main street entrance was blocked off but, the staff gave us directions to come in the back way.
Being that there was so much room and for that price, there should have been a microwave and a refrigerator.
The best assets of this small hotel are the front desk staff and its price for an excellent location in San Diego. I was on business for 5 days, just across the landmark Hotel Del.
The only thing I didn't like was that my room was on the first floor and I could hear the guests on the second floor walking clearly, and I am a heavy sleeper.
Not even the location very hard to fine.
The room was small It was cold and when we turned on the heather the smell was very bad and the smoke alarm system started. We had to turn off the heather. We had a table but no chairs. No Soap for the shower. Poor rooms are to small. we paid for two queen size bed and got two full size.
Right from check-in we were impressed by the staff and amenities - offer of a coffee pot, coffee, hair dryer, etc. Even had a toothbrush ! Room quite adequate for 3 adults, lots of towels, comfortable bed and nice bedding. This is not a luxury resort but it is good value with free parking a block from the beach and in the village itself.
Walls are a bit thin, room was warm if you didn't turn on the fan or AC. NOT BIG ISSUES...
We celebrated a two night anniversary great location Day at del Coronado beach Two very nice restaurants walking distance good wine selection at Von's Best affordable spot all the atmosphere for less Loved it
Helpful staff. Quiet. Great location.
Location, location, location and value for the money. It can not be beat.
Great Place, loved everything about this location.....
Walking distance to the beach, shops, cafés, and restaurants. A quiet and relaxed atmosphere. On site parking, Pool / beach towels
Not having a fridge Not having a hair dryer Saying - breakfast I/c , when really it is only a sweet pastry, coffee and a piece of fruit, available from reception .If you then add on paying for breakfast out, it does make for an expensive stay. All the above are personal comments, not complaints.
Right in the heart of coronado. Lots of nice restaurants right on its doorstep.
Location, price, cleanliness of room, and property(landscaping) was very nice. Staff provided excellent service.
Bed wasnt top comfort. No coffee maker or refrig. included in price.
Location, location, location. Close to shops and restaurants. Free parking next to the room. Helpful stuff
The breakfast was very poor
The location and facilities were great, the staff were fantastic and very friendly especially Benny and Kelly. Would definitely go back.
Cleanliness, friendliness and central location.
Not a huge deal, but I really don't think of donuts as "breakfast," though the coffee was much appreciated!
Great location. Very near the Hotel Del and the shops/restaurants of Orange Avenue.
Parking lot can be tight, but it all seems to work out!
Location is perfect, close to the beach and restaurants. Free parking, very spacious room. I'd stay there again.
Only downside was the noise from the trucks making early deliveries to the restaurant next door, but that is beyond the Inn's control, so no real negatives.
Location is close to the beach, restaurants and shops. We only needed to use our car when leaving the island. Great to have parking included in the room rate. Nice little pool to swim in after coming back from the beach. Muffins, pastries and coffee offered in the morning were delicious.
Pillows on the bed were too thick. Would be nice to have water or juice available on the morning breakfast buffet for children.
We checked in to our hotel room which was a little small so we ask to be moved to a larger room and the staff happily accommodated our request.
Great location. We parked the car and walked everywhere we needed to go.
staff was friendly and VERY accommodating. We had a wedding across the street at the Del, so it was very close. They had a nice selection of rolls, fruit and muffins in the morning and a large carafe of cold water was available all day. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc. also in the morning. Very nice! They also had free parking which was at a minimum elsewhere on the island. C.K.
I know everything is costly on the island, however for the price this room was very small. nowhere to put anything like make-up or hair products in the bathroom, so we had to keep walking in and out to the desk where we stored everything that should have gone in the bathroom and that left no room for snacks or books, jewelry etc. There was an ample closet and a suitcase caddy, but if you just wanted to live out of that instead of hanging everything up, it didn't fit anywhere, including in the closet. I suppose it could have gone between the desk and the tv console but we requested a small frig and that's where it was placed. There was small chair, but it was so crunched ino a corner it was basically unusable. So it was pretty much wall to wall full. They provided a map, but it wasn't very helpful as it had mostly main attractions, not where the local pharmacy , grocery and service type places were located. If you had time to walk around and find everything, you could. I mean it's a small island, but I'm handicapped so we drove around and traffic on a Sat. afternoon was a bear as there were at least 4 or 5 events going on at the same time. So maybe contact the chamber of commerce ahead of time or call a few places and ask where they are located in reference to where you are staying. Al in all it's a beautiful little island. The old architecture is gorgeous. And how often do you get to wear formal dresses and tuxes and be treated like royalty at a million dollar wedding?! So we still enjoyed it after the shock of the room size wore off. The pictures are true to what it looked like except the angle portrayed it as much larger. the bathroom photo looked like you could have 2 or 3 people changing clothes in there at the same time, when in reality, when hubby was brushing his teeth at the sink, I couldn't even get in there. C.K.
It was so noisy in the morning hours. But the morning we had no water to shower was not acceptable. I understand work had to be done but we should have been made aware before so we could plan our day differently.
Old hotel could use some remodeling. Bathrooms were old. There was construction next door and it was noisey. It was very expensive for what it offered .
Too noisy :/ We could hear our next door guest steps
was very loud
Great location. Room was clean and comfortable.
There was nothing that I didn't like.
