Location! Location! Location! And an expansive 1 bedroom suite. And quiet.
4 PM check-in seems a tad late.
LOCATION and that is only thing that is great there.
Rest of the hotel.
The view was amazing, the bed was comfortable
Worst shower ever! Tons of construction right in front of the hotel and they wouldn't even wave the parking fee for the huge inconvenience.
The location and view from the 5th floor while eating breakfast were wonderful.
There must not be any insulation in the walls of the hotel rooms because we could hear everyone's footsteps and conversations too clearly throughout the night.
Close to the restaurants & shops in the Village.. The room was big, the bedding great and the kitchen fine. There is a balcony with view of the ocean right in front and you could hear the sea lions at night.
Noise from the neighbors could be heard up the stairwell or thru the vents..
The view and friendly staff
No micro wave, kitchen doors did not close, needed to use space heater for heat. Front window wouldn't close. Both bath and kitchen need to be updated
Panoramic views from large corner ocean front room of the coastline, across the bay to Torrey Pines.
Room very clean & comfortable, but decor' is a little dated.
The view was amazing. Even with construction out side. Room was spacious and welcoming. Kitchen was loaded. Full kitchen silverware, pots n pans, cups, Everything u needed. Bed was very nice. Didn't go back to the car once we got there. Tons of shops and food places to walk to.
Could some times smell the seals but not always and it would go away quickly.
Just one of the staff is super mean!!!!
great location, big room
i wish the breakfast had more choices
Located across the street from the La Jolla Cove.
Location is great. Suites are large and comfortable but in need of updating. Rooftop patio has a wonderful view of the ocean.
Unfortunately the road directly in front of the building was torn up for rebuilding during our stay and the moise and congestion of construction vehicles was horrible. No notice that this was to be happening was given. While the rooftop patio is lovely, the breakfast selection was very minimal with little attention paid to ensuring food choices were replenished.
Proximity to the beach.
Room felt old. Stairs had unpleasant smell.
Location and facilities
They ran out of towels at the pool every day. They ran out of regular coffee for the rooms half of the time. Our room was right under the rooftop lounge so we had a lot of noise from there.
Wow! If you want to be close to the beach with gorgeous views this is the place. Also very close to shopping, dining, and other sights. I would definitely stay here again.
Seal smell was strong at times. In hindsight, it was hard to have one bathroom for the four of us. Elevators were very slow but I got a great workout going up and down six flights of stairs!
location is great
Spectacular location, nice front desk staff
Tiny, dark room where you can hear EVERYTHING going on in adjacent rooms, including at 2, 3, 4 in the morning... Dirty jacuzzi never cleaned despite multiple requests; towels also hard to get. "Free" breakfast is really just built into price and is frankly not good (would rather pay less and eat elsewhere).
The hotel needs some work...
Non ocean view small room not the best and the walls are so thin you could hear every sound from the next room.
Location and staff
Location to ocean
Room was extremely small. No heat or air conditioning as advertised. Had a small plug in fan/heater instead. Room was the back side of a larger room. No ocean view was expected as booked, but not the rest.
The view from the balcony!
Low water pressure and water temperature not stable.
The awesome few of the ocean.
The parking was a little tight but can be overlooked with all the amenities that are just walking distance.
The shower or breakfast
We have stayed here several times. The view of the ocean from the balcony is amazing. The bathroom and kitchen are way too small, but when you're sitting on the balcony staring at the ocean and listening to the waves crash ... What was I saying about the kitchen?
