I like the cozy country decor and the view . close to the beach and shops
The bed was really uncomfortable you would sink in the middle sleep slanted . The only other thing was parking was a walk when we saw other garage closer but on the other hand it was a nice walk .
Great location to downtown La Jolla and the Cove.
the location and the parking
great place, always stay here, close to everything, Put your car away and just enjoy La Jolla.
Stayed at toward the end of summer, carpets were pretty nasty after the summer, beach hotels are better with tile or pergo flooring
Terrible room with no windows- about 6 x8 feet- For $180!
Views from the terrace (only apartments on the second and third floor) Localization
We had booked a room which was on the ground floor and you could hear all the people in the street, very noisy and too small with only one small window directly to the street. Very expensive and not including breakfast and the parking was not in the hotel. Matress was very unconfortable and there were no blinds, only courtains which did not stop the light coming so at 5am the room had plenty of day light and was impossible to sleep. Bad pillows as well. It has a "kitchen" with no cooking hooves so the only thing you could do is warming up the food in the microwave . Fridge broken.
GOOD LOCATION, GOOD VIEWS
SLOW PLUMBING - CLOGGED VERY EASILY
the room was dirty and the locks did not work properly
The European ambiance, the ocean view from our room, the sunsets, the beautiful deck on the roof, and again - location, location, location!
Guests should know there is no elevator and parking can be difficult.
Nothing private about the balconies... The balcony is not clean, Chairs and walls Covered in old bird droppings. Flowers are all dead. Bathtub was clogged the whole time. Sink was broken. Coffee pot looked like it had never been cleaned out. The walkway by the ice machine was filthy. Parking is extremely inconvenient since it is not near the property.
Horrible and Dirty!!!! Nice location. Wont live here again.....
Stains on rug Lock to door did not work only deadbolt Shower fan did not work All lights and clock were unplugged No bottled water only the paper from around the neck of the bottled water warning one about the cost Parking garage is 2 blocks from the hotel making luggage problematic Noisy room and had requested quiet location -- walls are thin Not a great value for $350 a night
Loved the view from the patio
The location was nice. Downtown la jolla is a fun place.
There was no designated parking so we had to find parking on the street which was a challenge. Also, we asked for the cleaning service several times and it took 4 hours for them to come. Also, for the price, it was not worth it and the wifi didn't work.
Good location. Just like a family hotel, can see sunset from room.
Amazing location. Sitting on our balcony watching the sun set over the Pacific. Very comfortable bed. Staff very nice and accommodating.
Room door banging into bathroom door each time we entered room. Some stains on furniture and carpet. Bathroom faucet loose. Parking 2 blocks away.
Just plain "Sucks" for the money. Could have stayed in a much newer and nicer hotel for similar dollars
Great location, clean room. The room was really cute, and the one we were in had a little balcony. I didn't even mind walking a bit for parking because I understand the situation in La Jolla. I was just glad they had parking to begin with.
They charged for silly items, like $5 for a toothbrush. Seriously? Same for other toiletries hotels usually give for free. Like $6.50 for cotton balls and cotton swabs. I thought that was kind of ridiculous.
Location and cleanliness of room...Had in room amenities for sale
Decor is old-fashioned, air conditioning system is old but worked well, paying extra for view was not worth extra charge...view was mainly of side street area - ocean view spot was not anything special
Location was fabulous.
Would be nice if there was at least a chair in the room so there is someplace to sit beside the bed.
Amazing ocean view
No resturant, No staff to carry bags, strange smell in the hotel
The view. It was small but quaint!
No elevator, charge for parking two blocks away when public parking on side street or closer paid parking. Should have been informed about these option. Charge for water. Staff certainly not over friendly! Wouldn't recommend and won't be back. Will stay at the Best Western for the price.
Location close to beach but very congested !
No parking (2 1/2 blocks away) limited space in room. 2 chairs barely fit on tiny balcony. Very dated. Tiny TV 12" x 15" maybe! bottled water, $4 snacks in basket were cheesy, overpriced by triple. Would not return for a stay.
