Parking could be hard since it's just whatever's available on the street by the hotel, or to pay at a public parking facility nearby at the plaza. Also, the town is super dark at night, so walking around is not recommended (but they have free shuttle pick-up service in the nighttime). There's also no elevator so if you have hefty luggage, this could be uncomfortable.
Aside from the great location by all the Carmel hot spots, the hotel really tries to complete the homey feel by adding all sorts of treats. In the morning, someone can make you a waffle, there's lemonade and ice tea during the day, free local wine tastings in the lobby in the evening, and tasty cookies at night. The place was comfortable and clean.
