Loved the salt water pools and sauna, steam rooms. Beautiful casita style rooms with patios. Staff were Great!!!
Wish the steam rooms would be coed, we were on a romantic weekend and love to be close.
Every room is its own adobe. Extraordinarily constructed and decorated. Valet parking and security.
Wish we had visited in warmer months, to enjoy the outdoor seating areas.
Old worl look ! Great trees , decorated professionally !! 5 star four season could learn from this resort!!
Very Friendly, felt like we were at home.
Check out day, housekeeping knocked once before entering the room not giving me enough time to get there, told me check out was 11:00 and I told her it was only 10:00, we would be out before 11:00. That was the only downfall.
Spa, rooms landscape, bar/patio. Art,
Liked it all
The two patios and the landscape. Great music, food and ambience. Great location to quality restaurants and shopping.
The "village" layout makes for interest and variety in walking about. We had a nice patio (not well maintained) outside our room.
The rooms are tired, and ours, at least, was small, with no indoor sitting area -- only a bed and a desk. The room we were originally assigned had three AC compressors on its roof, the noise from which made the room uninhabitable, and yet THEY PUT US IN THERE!!!
The location, real close to center of town. The patio area, nice place for breakfast.
No chance of self parking, long lines and delays to be able to park. The valet personnel did their best, but there was a chaos every evening. The part of the hotel where our room was located looked horrible, and hallway and stairs were very dirty. Main entrance door of this part was open all night, right by the street. Sheets were put right outside the rooms and were not picked up until late. No sitting area, only bed for TV watching, one small room (extended hallway) had an old desk and a chair. No chance of using the safe in the room. It was put in sideways on the floor in a dark closet so you had to crawl in to reach it, they had provided a flashlight on a table, but battery was dead. I wrote a message 2 mornings asking them to fix the flashlight, but nothing happened. I just wish I had a photo of that safe. It was a joke! Very slow service at breakfast (except on the 26th) as well as at dinnertime. Breakfast was really pricy, not worth the money. To get ice you had to pass the whole area and get to the Ice machine poolside. I know there were better rooms in other parts, the hotel was recommended to us by friends who had seen a totally different room. However the experience was such a disappointment that I will never make a reservation there again.
location. steam rooms
kept debiting money from my charge card . said parking fees, resort fees,& taxes were in the small print. This noisy ,old room near the kitchen entrance by an open gate ended up costing over $350.00 per night.
Location, outdoor dining for breakfast , bell men and valet.
Room was so small the furniture needed to be moved to clear a path to the bathroom . The dresser/ closet was squeezed into the room so tightly that one of the few drawers could not be opened. Housekeeping was not good- cups were never washed and it took three requests to get coffee and water. We have stayed often and were disa
Close to the Plaza. Valet parking staff were very helpful.
Very small, unappealing room(s), especially the bathroom. Did not smell very clean. Bathroom door did not close properly. Would definitely not rate this as part of a Luxury Collection.
Housekeeping replacing items-coffee, shampoo- was weak. Also, a rolling bed we did not request was put in our room by mistake. It was removed when we complained.
This was suppose to be a 5 star hotel. The rooms were a 2 star. This facility was way overpriced. In the reception room the carpet was filthy. The entire place needs to be refurbished. Does not deserve a 5 star - 2-3 star at tops. Very disappointing. Would not go back again or recommend the resort to anyone.
When we arrived, the room I signed up for on Booking.com was not available. I really wanted the patio, and there were no rooms available. The person we dealt with found us a room with a courtyard area near the room. It just so happened that the room we had had an area where a table and two chairs would fit. The staff brought a table and two chairs. Everything worked out.
The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in at any hotel. The restaurant was excellent.
Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 5:15 pm, long after the 4:00 pm check in time. The television didn't work for the first two days and the toilet didn't work for one of the three days we were at La Posada. The facility was without water for two hours one evening during the time when we were cleaning up for dinner and had to delay our meal until after 7:00 pm. The bedside lamps didn't work the last day we were at the hotel which was the night we went to the opera and didn't get back until after midnight. It would have been nice to not stumble around the room in the dark to get into bed.
Great set up and location. Also, food in the restaurant and service was great. Keep it up.
Very poor room service. I heard others were complaining too.
The park grounds , work out room, restaurant quite good, bar selection excellent. Location very nice. They had a shuttle service. Probably understaffed, we had to wait on a corner in 55 deg weather 30 minutes.. Personal check in but congested.
Parking troubling...ok if never need your car. It took too long to get your car... pricey ...city tax and service fees... more than 300$ per night...
Everything was awesome!!
Great service and ambiance.
Other than check in, staff very helpful....housekeeping great and remembered requests. Main building stunning, and second room I got was gorgeous.
Check in was poor, girl at front desk didn't seem to care, said my information hadn't been recorded (?) and misled me on room options...lazy...
A gorgeous facility, maintained meticulously, especially with respect to common areas. The main "house" is full of lovely and intimate spaces, fireplaces and lounges and great art. You could spend a week there and have a different evening experience every night, and that's before the spa services. Similarly, the grounds are breathtakingly landscaped. At night you can sit outdoors by a roaring fire in the central patio. The staff was unfailingly courteous and helpful. And the hotel is only a couple of short blocks from the center of Santa Fe.
Fit and finish in the rooms, especially those that have not had the windows upgraded, left a bit to be desired. These windows matter a great deal, because you don't go to Santa Fe to rely on air conditioning -- but screens did not fit properly, latches were broken, etc. Most rooms are at the ground floor level, which makes this even more of a concern. A few other things didn't add up. For example, the hotel guidebook referred to a mini-bar that was meant to be stocked pursuant to your specifications, but when calling the number indicated I was connected to room service, which had no idea what I was talking about. This was particularly annoying considering that there are no vending or snack food options whatsoever at the property. I understand that this is consistent with the "luxury spa" enviroment... but sometimes you just want to get a soda or a bag of pretzels without walking into town or even after 10 PM. Simiarly, my wakeup call did not come the first night I was there. They eventually did call and explained that the first attempt did not work because the first line on my room phone was broken. No suggestion was made that anyone was going to fix the phone, and I gave up on wake-up calls -- an amenity of the hotel experience I should have been able to take for granted in a property such as this one. These are relatively petty complaints, but given the whole of the property's facilities and standards, they seem easily remedied and are hard to understand.
