Excellent restaurant, "Gringo" next door.
Poor a/c unit. Very noisy in wall unit. Couldn't cool the room down.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable. Grounds and landscaping were very nice. Hotel Layout was good. Overall experience was great.
Jose at front desk was not friendly. Bathroom was a little small.
Not enough electrical outlets and the ones available not conviently useful. Also the air conditioning unit kept blowing the drapes up making sleeping late impossible because the sun shining into the room.
The location, the casita, the staff
first room we were in had a very bad smell coming from the bath drain
What a lovely lodge setting. We had a room on the third floor which had a wonderful view from the nice size balcony. With rustic decor, a fridge and microwave in the room we were very comfy. Also, a beautiful pool area made for nice recreation. Wish we could have stayed longer, will definetly return!
Liked the grounds, casita had a backyard
The issue was, it was a very hot day, and the casita's air conditioner was not performing well, was quite uncomfortable, we were moved to another casita, which was better, however, and tolerable, however, the AC could barely keep up even in the "new" room, and struggled to cool the main room, and didn't do much to cool the bathroom and dressing area.
Friendly, competent staff. Really good breakfast eggs.
TV didn't work at all at first, then not well even after someone came in to fix. Hair dryer did not work. Key card did not work in one of the pool gates. Out of pool towels at 6:00 PM.
Good location for our housing search. Easy to find and easy to access from a busy road. Staff was great. Especially Jorge at the front desk. Will use LaPosada in the future.
First night was spent in a room on the side facing the busy road. Kind of noisy, but Jorge moved us to a Casita for the next two nights. Very comfortable there. Breakfast was lacking some meat portions. Lots of eggs and breads etc. Could have used more protein.
Great location on the Catalina foothills - good views, but still close enough to the city.
On some days the breakfast was not quite as versatile as on others. The writing desk was right next to the air conditioner, forcing me to wear a long-sleeved shirt while using my laptop!
Although the location was slightly remote, it was easily accessible and the views were great. The breakfast was quite ample, although it varied in quality somewhat from one day to another.
The comfort of the facilities was very good. Clean and very quiet. The breakfast was very good. The pool was very nice and our grandson loved it.
The size of the room was disappointing, however, given the age of this hotel this is understandable. still a great place to stay for the location.
Just about everything. It feels like an almost-private retreat. Great value. Nice buffet breakfast.
Only thing i can think of is my cell phone doesn't get great signal in the room but it's fine out by the pool or on the terrace.
It's lovely! Clean, we'll appointed, great pool, delicious breakfast. One of the best places I've stayed in a long time, especially for the price.
The courtyard is a beautiful green oasis to look at from your balcony. (I am from Oregon.) Adobe style architecture!
Every other unit has a small sink area in the bathroom. Not enough room for toiletries.
Good value for the price. Breakfast included was a nice perk.
There was a slight odor from bathroom drain. AC stopped working at 3:30am. Luckily, after turning dials it began working again.
From our first stay in April we liked La Posada. The style, staff. The atmosphere created by the furnishings gave us a laid back, relaxing feeling. We will go back again and next time make our stay a lot longer.
We stayed in one of the casitas on our last stay, and while our room was clean and comfortable, the drapes were not correctly hung giving the room a shabby look.
Great television, comfortable bed and good lighting
Air conditioning not great and could see shadows through bathroom window
The room was large and comfortable and the hotel grounds were very nicely maintained. The pool area was great and the views of the mountains were very pretty.
The room had a wall air conditioner that was noisy and did not provide very even temperatures. I much prefer central air in a warm climate.
Reasonably priced. For the purpose of my trip, it was conveniently located. Many good restaurants nearby. Very friendly, courteous, and helpful staff.
The room had a "cold" atmosphere about it. The adjoining restaurant wasn't particularly good. The TV remote didn't work. A staff member brought a new remote - still didn't work. TV had to be manually operated.
The cleaning staff were very good! The breakfast every morning was excellent. The entire staff was very friendly!
The ice machine was broken the entire time on the first floor of our stay ( 6 days). The TV guide on the TV was off an hr on all program listings. Needed some repair work in shower area.
all of it
Our family loved everything about La Posada Lodge and Casitas. We have been staying there since May of 2013. The entire staff has treated us very well each time we have stayed. We have recommended the lodge to other family members and friends as well. Continue to put customer service first... we all thank you all for a job well done. Sincerely, Yvette Meyer
Stayed there many times due to location. Staff great.
Bathrooms and counters very small. Not much room to update
The grounds and pool area were impeccable. Our room, on the 3rd floor had a beautiful, distant view of the city of Tucson from the lanai. The included breakfast was excellent and the adjoining restaurant and bar were a relaxing place for drink after an active day.
This is an older facility and the bathroom was small. No tub just a smallish tiled shower. No counter space in the bathroom to speak of. Some of the other rooms may have a full bath but if it is important to you better check and make sure.
Room was small but functional with a nice view of pool/golf course. Patio was nice and AC worked well. Small fridge came in handy along with in room coffee. Nice breakfast included.
No bath tub, just shower but otherwise no complaints.
