that it is older style
pr0perty on older side repairs you can see not well done
next door, there was an infant crying all night, we could not sleep
Room was very comfortable and quiet (even though I had read that it wasn't!) Pool was lovely. The staff, from front desk, to waiters in Gringo were warm, informative and helpful! Loved my stay here!
Although we appreciated the hot breakfast every morning, not being a real egg lover, I wished there could have been waffle or pancakes one day. That being said, there were many cold items, pastries, breads, cereals, yogurt and fruit that was offered and delicious coffee!!!
No outlets in the room to plug phones
I enjoyed the scenery and the atmosphere.
I did not enjoy the company of ants in my bed or around the night stand. The furniture was a little rough up and I understand they were trying to get the old west feel. The foyer was a little crowded and small due the the type of furniture they had.
Price. Comfortable. Good location. Quiet.
Tile floor was dirty. Needs real mopping in between visitors.
View and rooms and lobby
I loved everything from the front desk clerks to the beautiful room and privacy balcony. The beds were comfortable and it was so quiet. I think it may even have had a salt water pool...it was wonderful either way, the pool was great and the breakfast was nice.
I can't think of something I did not like.
Excellent restaurant, "Gringo" next door.
Poor a/c unit. Very noisy in wall unit. Couldn't cool the room down.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable. Grounds and landscaping were very nice. Hotel Layout was good. Overall experience was great.
Jose at front desk was not friendly. Bathroom was a little small.
Not enough electrical outlets and the ones available not conviently useful. Also the air conditioning unit kept blowing the drapes up making sleeping late impossible because the sun shining into the room.
The location, the casita, the staff
first room we were in had a very bad smell coming from the bath drain
What a lovely lodge setting. We had a room on the third floor which had a wonderful view from the nice size balcony. With rustic decor, a fridge and microwave in the room we were very comfy. Also, a beautiful pool area made for nice recreation. Wish we could have stayed longer, will definetly return!
Liked the grounds, casita had a backyard
The issue was, it was a very hot day, and the casita's air conditioner was not performing well, was quite uncomfortable, we were moved to another casita, which was better, however, and tolerable, however, the AC could barely keep up even in the "new" room, and struggled to cool the main room, and didn't do much to cool the bathroom and dressing area.
Friendly, competent staff. Really good breakfast eggs.
TV didn't work at all at first, then not well even after someone came in to fix. Hair dryer did not work. Key card did not work in one of the pool gates. Out of pool towels at 6:00 PM.
Good location for our housing search. Easy to find and easy to access from a busy road. Staff was great. Especially Jorge at the front desk. Will use LaPosada in the future.
First night was spent in a room on the side facing the busy road. Kind of noisy, but Jorge moved us to a Casita for the next two nights. Very comfortable there. Breakfast was lacking some meat portions. Lots of eggs and breads etc. Could have used more protein.
Great location on the Catalina foothills - good views, but still close enough to the city.
On some days the breakfast was not quite as versatile as on others. The writing desk was right next to the air conditioner, forcing me to wear a long-sleeved shirt while using my laptop!
Although the location was slightly remote, it was easily accessible and the views were great. The breakfast was quite ample, although it varied in quality somewhat from one day to another.
The comfort of the facilities was very good. Clean and very quiet. The breakfast was very good. The pool was very nice and our grandson loved it.
The size of the room was disappointing, however, given the age of this hotel this is understandable. still a great place to stay for the location.
Just about everything. It feels like an almost-private retreat. Great value. Nice buffet breakfast.
Only thing i can think of is my cell phone doesn't get great signal in the room but it's fine out by the pool or on the terrace.
It's lovely! Clean, we'll appointed, great pool, delicious breakfast. One of the best places I've stayed in a long time, especially for the price.
The courtyard is a beautiful green oasis to look at from your balcony. (I am from Oregon.) Adobe style architecture!
Every other unit has a small sink area in the bathroom. Not enough room for toiletries.
Good value for the price. Breakfast included was a nice perk.
There was a slight odor from bathroom drain. AC stopped working at 3:30am. Luckily, after turning dials it began working again.
From our first stay in April we liked La Posada. The style, staff. The atmosphere created by the furnishings gave us a laid back, relaxing feeling. We will go back again and next time make our stay a lot longer.
We stayed in one of the casitas on our last stay, and while our room was clean and comfortable, the drapes were not correctly hung giving the room a shabby look.
