I didn't like that valet parking was the only option and I had to pay for it
The room was great & great breakfast
I was not aware I couldn't self park I had to valet park & I was not aware of that & the extra charge for that! The valet was great but not aware of the extra charge for that!
Very disappointed in the hotel, old and tv with very few channels. Way way over priced . Would not recommend to anyone
Same as above, didn't like anything. Old , tv very few channels, way over priced. Checked out next day bc so disappointed
Andrew was had excellent customer service skills! I'd hire him for my company in a minute.
The building needs updating. I could hear other guests talking from their rooms, that was awful.
Valet parking was professionally staffed and a bargain
Staff was very helpful and cooperative. Pool was nice and clean and so refreshing. Rooms were comfy and clean.
Noisy outside. Not very close to anything except Capitol.
The price is far too high for the hotel. Outside the room everything is unpleAsant in this hotel.
Staff very helpful and eager to help, comfortable stay.
Toilet nasty dirty otherwise everything went well.
Staff was friendly and helpful A++
Hotel needs work rooms smelt like a damp musty cave
A reasonable motel with very competitive price and yet reasonable quality facility and with breakfast included. Good location within walking distance from conference centre ( less than. 1 mile) . Next to texas capital building ( no. 1 attraction in austin) . One can visit the place both at daytime and at night.
a short walk to bars, restaurants and main tourist sites, and very helpful staff. Would definately recommend this well priced hotel
Bed and room was large and comfortable.
Property look a little tired. Could stand to be updated.
Front desk staff was very good. Pool, though I didn't use it looked very appealing.
The hotel 'free' breakfast emphasized that it was 'free' only because it didn't cost much. I've stayed at hotels that charge less for a room and provide a far better 'free' breakfast. Reality is I did book for the location and not for the 'free' breakfast.
It is very close to all night spots and access to centre was not an issue. We only stayed for the night and for that much i must say it was ok. Good value for money
There was a very bad smell in tge bathroom. Is a very old hotel that will defo fall apart in next few years the way it is running. Carpets are old, hall ways smelly, lack of toiletary in the bathroom.
Close to capital and downtown Staff was courteous
Second night was double the first. Felt like a frat house Run down feeling
Valet staff was very friendly and efficient.
Most everything downtown is within walking distance or a very short drive. The valet parking is great and much easier than parking on the street. The room was spacious and very clean.
Didn't care to much for the construction going on across the street. Jackhammers and bulldozers starting at 7:30 am was not pleasant after getting in late. Hardly the hotel's fault but still annoying nevertheless.
Prices for a La Quinta
Needed some basic maintenance and cleaning
Location is close to 6th street bars. $7 uber ride on way back. Very clean and comfy.
The girl who worked graveyard was very rude when my key didn't work. It seemed like I was inconveniencing her and interrupting her TV watching to get her to assist me. She has a big attitude too. Everyone else was very nice (girls who checked us in/out and valet).
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They suggested certain services in the area, and they were great about getting us extra towels and shampoo.
The elevator was scary. We used the stairs during our stay. Also, the facilities were old, and a little dirty, but they were acceptable.
The initial listed price was very reasonable for being so close to the capitol building. However, that price varied greatly from day to day and made the value go down the drain along with the quality.
We had booked a king size room but were given a room on the parking lot with 2 queen beds. The room felt old and unclean, silverfish included. We were able to move to a room on the second floor the next day, and spent that night listening to a loud party and traffic up and down the walkway outside the door. We should have clued in when we had to sign a form saying we weren't going to be conducting any illegal activity while we stayed there. I do feel sorry for this place...old, paint peeling, unhealthy atmosphere...it needs either a complete overhaul or to be shut down.
The place looked very worn.
