Perfectly situated for all of our activities.
Only one elevator was usable and only four luggage carts were available. Not enough of either for the number of guests.
I liked that they has valet parking & complimentary breakfast.
Once we arrived our toilet wouldn't work or our television so a maintenance man had to come fix the issue. Then the following morning we found a massive cockroach in our bathroom! We were all so grossed out. Then we called room service for toilet paper & towels... they made us go all the way down to the front desk to get it ourselves when in reality most hotel services bring it up to your room!!
Great location. Nice breakfast. Beds were super comfortable and clean. Friendly personnel.
Heater turned off and the room was too cold. The shower almost felt like a power wash. Toilet too low. Toilet seat needs to be round on the edges. Needs remodeling!
My room was big and clean. The bed was comfortable. Wi-Fi connection was fast.
Breakfast was poor. There was a continuous strong noise (day and night) in my room coming from somewhere outside I wasn't able to identify (not a problem for me but I believe the staff of the hotel should fix it for new guests).
Good location and friendly staff. Excellent value for money
Location was great and so was wifi connection.
Incredibly rude black lady at check inn which for this reason alone will NEVER book this hotel again! Rooms were outdated with coffeemaker lid missing.
Very close to downtown Austin. It's so good place for sightseeing without car.
Not very clean. Elevator was very old. Breakfast was not so good.
The mattress was comfortable. One of the bed sheets had a hole. Pillows ok. Always had an extra toilet paper roll.
Toilet too small. Felt like if it was for children. The seat was not rounded, making it uncomfortable. Shower felt like a power wash! Couldn't find any controls to make it gentler. Elevator way too old. Ran out of Kleenex on the last night.
The hotel was cozy and in a perfect location to explore the UT campus, Capitol, and music/food districts by foot and by bus.
Clean room with really good location and good fast internet
Lots of noise from other guests. Don't bother trying to phone reception from your room unless you want to be told you're being put on hold without a choice.
Nice location, minutes walking to the Congress. Nice staff.
Breakfast is not that good. Anyway we can not expect more in US
Good location, close to the capitol, and 5 blocks away from 6th st. The room was large, had a fridge, an ironing board and an iron.
Hotel staff were helpful. Well managed. Clean. Secure. Breakfast was good. Close to capitol building and University of Texas Austin, but at mid-economy price.
Rooms do not have microwave oven. It would have been good,if it was provided. The floor carpet has worn out a bit, as it is a old hotel. Locker in rooms could have been provided.
Staff are friendly;
Breakfast is too simple, no meat or vegetable are offered at all
Steps away from Capitol Building and easy to find from the highway. Area seemed pretty safe (walked back with a friend around midnight and it was fine.) Room was clean, beds very comfortable. Valet parking.
Nothing really that bad--it's just not in the hippest neighborhood, but if you're able to walk and explore, then it's totally fine for what it is.
Noise, cleaning, breakfast, reception, service, refrigerator
- reasonable price compaerd to other hotles in the area - complemantary breakfast, although of average quality at best - WiFi quality was good
- I could hear almost ervery word of a telephone call in the room next to mine
annoying noise from neighboring rooms (door open and close) and parking lots
Football was our goal so location was perfect so we did not have to fight the traffic to get to the stadium. Within walking distance of resterants and breakfast on location. We enjoyed our short stay.
I didn't like that valet parking was the only option and I had to pay for it
The room was great & great breakfast
I was not aware I couldn't self park I had to valet park & I was not aware of that & the extra charge for that! The valet was great but not aware of the extra charge for that!
Very disappointed in the hotel, old and tv with very few channels. Way way over priced . Would not recommend to anyone
Same as above, didn't like anything. Old , tv very few channels, way over priced. Checked out next day bc so disappointed
Andrew was had excellent customer service skills! I'd hire him for my company in a minute.
The building needs updating. I could hear other guests talking from their rooms, that was awful.
Valet parking was professionally staffed and a bargain
Staff was very helpful and cooperative. Pool was nice and clean and so refreshing. Rooms were comfy and clean.
Noisy outside. Not very close to anything except Capitol.
