Loved how close it was to downtown Austin, and the Capital. Staff were great
Sound proofing from street (and late night partyers) noise needs to be improved. It was really obvious when the bars let out.
- Location! - Price
- Staff, other than the valet, were underwhelming - Maid service didn't clean our room even after we requested. - Breakfast is TOO EARLY (intentionally, because it's free
The location was nice only an 11 minute walk to the UT men's basketball center. The Capitol is also extremely close!
The breakfast bar was poorly attended. They did not refill the water for 30 minutes and the Apple juice looked very very watered down. They also didn't refill the milk so I had to eat my cereal without milk.
NEVER HAD A HOTEL OR MOTEL TO TELL ME TO COME DOWN AND PICKUP WASH CLOTHES (NONE IN RM. WHEN WE GOT THERE.
- The location was perfect. - Our room had a view of the Capitol - Valet and reception staff were well trained and friendly.
- Mandatory valet fee should be included in advertised price. - Roaches! - Over all, our room, the hall ways, elevators etc. were dirty.
Location was near marathon start and finish.
Noisy. BreakfAst was too late for marathon participants. Why not have breakfast an hour earlier for the day of marathon?
The location in its proximity to the Capitol.
The HVAC unit did not have a control of the fan speed that i would have liked. Needed to have a constant fan noise to block out outside noises.
I booked one night on the day before arrival, and it was by very far the cheapest option in downtown Austin. Simple but OK, nice staff, conveniently located at the corner of the Capitol and not far from restaurants and bars. Good value for money.
The fact that there was less than 24 hours notice that the water would be shut off from 10pm-3am Also there was no mention of it when I checked in - by the time I got the notice it was too late to find another venue.
I was very pleased with the location of this hotel and the price I paid and the politeness of the staff and my room was very comfortable
The hours for breakfast are a bit short from only 6 AM to 9 AM Monday through Friday I was hoping it would be 6 to 10 or 1030 for those of us who work at night and get up a little later in the morning
Location was perfect for me will bring ear plugs next time
noise. some rooms face the street, so others might not be so bad. Also the maid cart has hard plastic wheels that are very loud passing the window. Rubberize the wheel folks.
Excellent location (in centre of town)
Constant buzzing from the ACs
Valet employees gave excellent ideas and directions to best hidden locations in the city. Amazingly comfortable bed!
One elevator was broken first night, then both by the morning. Light switch by the door to room did not work. Completely out of their hands, but loud construction crew outside in the early morning.
Location was close to Capitol, close to the venue we came into town for, comfortable bed and pillows, pet friendly, free breakfast, large room, free wifi.
When we went to our room and opened the door, the bed was unmade and it looked like someone was still staying in there. We were able to get a new room quickly though. But we could hear everyones footsteps and rolling luggage outside our door all night long. It was just very loud all through the night and we got very little sleep.
Perfectly situated for all of our activities.
Only one elevator was usable and only four luggage carts were available. Not enough of either for the number of guests.
I liked that they has valet parking & complimentary breakfast.
Once we arrived our toilet wouldn't work or our television so a maintenance man had to come fix the issue. Then the following morning we found a massive cockroach in our bathroom! We were all so grossed out. Then we called room service for toilet paper & towels... they made us go all the way down to the front desk to get it ourselves when in reality most hotel services bring it up to your room!!
Great location. Nice breakfast. Beds were super comfortable and clean. Friendly personnel.
Heater turned off and the room was too cold. The shower almost felt like a power wash. Toilet too low. Toilet seat needs to be round on the edges. Needs remodeling!
My room was big and clean. The bed was comfortable. Wi-Fi connection was fast.
Breakfast was poor. There was a continuous strong noise (day and night) in my room coming from somewhere outside I wasn't able to identify (not a problem for me but I believe the staff of the hotel should fix it for new guests).
Good location and friendly staff. Excellent value for money
Location was great and so was wifi connection.
Incredibly rude black lady at check inn which for this reason alone will NEVER book this hotel again! Rooms were outdated with coffeemaker lid missing.
Very close to downtown Austin. It's so good place for sightseeing without car.
Not very clean. Elevator was very old. Breakfast was not so good.
The mattress was comfortable. One of the bed sheets had a hole. Pillows ok. Always had an extra toilet paper roll.
Toilet too small. Felt like if it was for children. The seat was not rounded, making it uncomfortable. Shower felt like a power wash! Couldn't find any controls to make it gentler. Elevator way too old. Ran out of Kleenex on the last night.
The hotel was cozy and in a perfect location to explore the UT campus, Capitol, and music/food districts by foot and by bus.
Clean room with really good location and good fast internet
Lots of noise from other guests. Don't bother trying to phone reception from your room unless you want to be told you're being put on hold without a choice.
