staff was very helpful and friendly
coffee was terrible, pool was cold, room was musty smelling, had to keep going to desk because key didn`t work
Good position not far from city center. Free Parking available.
Wifi only in the hall.
Good size clean room ,free breakfast , free shuttle bus and very helpful staff .
Close to Highway. Fair view of the ocean. Night staff was helpfulin
Windows were filthy, you could not see out of them. The queen bed was very old and sags in the middle. No clean she's for the coach bed, had to ask for them and no pillow. We used are own and a air mattress. The coach bed mattress was not sleepable. .
I didn't like anything about this hotel or location.
The hotel room was smelly and looked dirty. The location looks terrible. I was very disappointed.
Rooms had a stale order. No one did not stop them from smoking . Rooms need to be renovated
Low price for quick college visit trip
Hallways smell awful and are dirty. Bathrooms had no soap or shampoo. Streets around are not lit well.
Close to Yale and friendly desk clerk. Good for handicapped guests and next door to a good diner
plumbing issues in the dingy bathroom. Bathmat was soaking wet when we arrived and never replaced, despite our request. We left it outside the room when we went to sleep and it was still there in the morning
we had a reservation for 2 dbls but when we arrived they only had suites left. the offered to keep the same rate since the suites cost more. Really? How does that help we have 4 grown people! Then, there were NOT enough pillows! We had to call for sheets, the sofa mattress was disgusting! The bathroom was old and in need of updating. The morning staff redeemed themselves slightly by giving me an actually discount. Not much variety with breakfast.
The Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good with several choices.
We had to change rooms 2 times to get one that was clean. The 1st room had a dirty bathroom floor and the 2nd room we checked into looked good until we looked at the beds which had obviously not been cleaned as they looked like someone just got out of bed. The 3rd room was ok ... if you don't mind that none of the rooms had clean carpeting.... crumbs on the floor.
Not spotless, but not totally gross either. Could tell the sheets were freshly laundered.
The front parking lot was full and only overflow area behind the hotel was available. We arrived at night and the lights were out so this area was in complete darkness. They didn't have the type of room available that we booked and said they would give us a price break because of that, but then billed us more than we were originally supposed to pay. They did correct this after I pointed it out. The air conditioning in the room was VERY loud, there were not enough pillows and towels, no cups for tooth brushing, very dated and cramped (especially the bathroom.)
location, right off of Rte 91 is very good-- plenty of shopping etc within a 5 min drive. Desk staff was pleasant
7th floor room, room was clean, but needs some serious updating, wallpaper peeling, bathroom fixtures and grout showing age. The doors were metal and very loud when anyone on the floor closed them. Air conditioning was loud, but that did help block some hallway noise.
Breakfast is poor.
Loacation to interstate and restaurant.............
quality of room - plumbing, odor, ac
The staff was extremely helpful. The facilities were clean and up to date. We only stayed one night, arriving late and leaving the next day mid morning, but we found the room to be comfortable and roomy.
The breakfast buffet was somewhat sparse, but it was later in the morning when we went down, so perhaps this contributed. All the items available were fresh and well presented.
decent bed, one f the pillows was nice.
breakfast was a bit less than it could be.
Price, ease of booking/check in, low noise.
Bed Bugs. When I told front desk about it the next morning, the woman there said she would have to talk to her manager about reducing the price. The manager was not to be in for a couple of hours and I had to leave. Was told I would receive a call, never got a call
Jacking up price during Yale commencement week
The rooms are well decorated, its spacious and looks very decent. The staff are very polite and always try their best assist with any problems. The hotel is located in a peaceful area and is very close to the city centre. Lastly, shuttle buses are available which is great especially since buses do not come by frequently.
The corridors smell like cigarettes and there are no windows to open.
The atmosphere, pleasant, staff was very helpful, and shows concern.
Staff tried their best to help with a horrible check in process.
The check in process was horrible. I had requested a room with a fridge in advance of check in and the hotel confirmed that I would have one - this was necessary for medications. Upon arrival, my room did not have a working lock. I was moved 3 more times, each assured the room would have a fridge, only to find out none of the rooms did. Finally (5 hours later at 9 p.m.) I received a fridge which was for the staff. I greatly appreciated this. Each time I moved rooms, I had to move all of my own luggage on a broken luggage cart and go down to the lobby to get a new key. There was no staff there to help with the move. Also, there was giant pot hole on the street entering into the hotel, which was unmarked. I hit the pot hole and it destroyed my tire - $140 for a new tire and time away from my meeting to get it fixed. Not a good experience and no credit for all of the issues.
In my reservation comments I requested a top floor room in the front. No one even acknowledged the request and I was put on 3rd floor in the back
Confortable, good staff
Distant to downtown
