Van shuttle service
Room key problem
Chris the desk clerk very helpful. And the shuttle drivers especially Ben
The elevator kind of shaky
Nice and easy on and off I95
Had to give them a deposit with my credit card and no one told me before they would not take cash.
Good location with a good price.
I spent over 10 days in La Quinta Hotel on Dec 2014 and it was really nice stay. Room was big, comfortable and rather clean. I felt safe. Breakfast were ok, with many options to choose. Fitness room was ok. The hotel offers a shuttle to city centre, which is a great and very comfortable solution, because the localization of La Quinta is not very good.
The hotel is located a bit far from the Downtown (about 25 minutes walk), but it offers a shuttle, availlaby for its guests all day long (till 9 o'clock), even on weekend.
The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable and provided a good nights sleep.
It was raining and the room window was leaking into the room. It appeared to me that the elevators off the main lobby needed some maintenance servicing.
Staff was not friendly at all and did you make you feel welcome. The receptionist Jordan could not care less about the guests. I would not stay there again.
In our three day stay our room was NEVER cleaned, beds never made and trash never em
Trash never emptied. Service was therefore nonexistent.
Location is good for catching an early train to NYC. Staff is nice and professional. Free and reliable wifi connection. Free parking.
Not many amenities.
It was convenient and the price was right. The Greek Olive Restaurant had very good food.
Everything was in need of renovating.
Nothing at all.
For starters, I booked a double room and when I got to the hotel, my booking showed as a single. They had to change my room bc it smelled like a smoke house and was not on the smoking floor. The second room- the tub was dirty and when we tried to take a shower, the tub was stopped up. Around the tub was dirty and molded. This place was definitely not a 3 star hotel. I will never stay again! !!
You are certainly not paying for glamour here but it is a clean, if basic, place to stay in New Haven. Close to city (and ideal for Frank Pepe's pizza). Breakfast was fair - bagels, cereals, waffles and coffee.
It was a little grubby in parts, carpets in hall ways for example. With a lick of paint and a good clean it would be vastly improved!
Worst bed I have slept in.
Staff was very helpful and accommodating
Hallways could use vacuum
location - near IKEA and downtown center, and also near highway exit. Restaurants - a pizza restaurants at lobby. and you can find Swedish. Wifi - good. easy to connect. Breakfast - many choices, beyond my exception. Sanitary - good Parking Lot - enough
This hotel has a great location if you have a car - it's really close to highway but it's not really a walking distance from city center. The room was nice and huge.
I think it might be an American style, but the room was literally one huge fridge when we arrived - air-conditioning was turned on to the maximum so we had to switch to heating to survive there :) The proximity of the highway is good, but you really don't want to open the windows..
poor breakfast housekeeping came almost 5pm to make up room. because there were no towels. response to complaint was unprofessional.
Breakfast was good and guite environment the room size perfect and in good condition
Pets should not be allawed
Very easy to find and well located for the traveler. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is poor fare but was included in the room rate.
Bed sheets were dirty. smelly wet tissue papers were on the bed between bed sheets
The elevators were prompt.
New Haven is the sort of place where dreams go to die. The New Haven La Quinta Inn is reflective of this fact.
Just used as overnight stay to see New Haven. Eat to get to. Area surrounding hotel not very inviting but hotel and it's facilities were fine
Area surrounding hotel
Staff were really helpful Car service into town Straight off freeway
Bed wasn't comfortable so didn't sleep well
Free shuttle 2 miles around town
staff is very friendly and accommodating. this locations saving grace is the fact that it is attached to a bar and restaurant, which does allow for a lot of friendly relaxation time.
When I pay this much money for a hotel room I expect that things are going to be very well in order there, and that was definitely not the case here. we found hairs on the walls of the bathroom almost immediately after checking in. The number of towels was adequate for only one person however to their credit we did call about this and they fixed that fairly quickly. Again however I should not have had to do that. We wanted to go for a swim however the pool was extremely dirty and this was NOT rectified even when we brought it to the staff's attention. One of the factors in choosing this location was the continental breakfast however both mornings we ended up buying breakfast in the restaurant because there was so little seating for the Continental one and the choices offered were slim. My particular pet peeve is attention to detail when I pay this much money for something and I did not feel that I got my money's worth.
