Rooms had kitchen but no utensils, silverware or cups or coffee maker, iron board was filthy, hair dryer broken, iron leaked water. I was very disappointed in my room at the holiday inn due to the nonworking toilet, lack of towels when requested,beard stuble in bathroom sink and dirty carpet. I received immediate attention when my first review was sent in for the first time I stayed in the holiday inn (first day of my stay), but things did not get any better when I stayed two more nights consecutively to the first night. Fantastic restaurants and shopping. Love the Town Center shopping area. Also went to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of art. Very impressive! Favorite restaurant is Jack Stack. The hotel is so conveniently located. Shopping and restaurants are a short drive. We were there for outpatient visit at a nearby hospital which was within walking distance. The hotel looks new, we assume it has recently been updated it is so nice and well kept, which is always good for a sense of security and safety when visiting out of town. DO NOT skip breakfast. The hotel was modern and clean. Everything was up to date, and the staff was amazing. It was such a convenient location. If you have dogs staying with you, they are so welcoming. There is a nice area for them to go potty but it isn't fenced. The rooms that are dog designated are as clean as I've ever seen. They didn't smell like animals had been there. The food at the bar (we arrived late in the evening) was fantastic and the bartender was so kind. Refrigerator in room was a bit small. Eloquence is located in a good location with other hotels. However, due to major renovation, the signage was covered & the parking lot wasn’t paved so we drove around searching for it. The handicapped ramp was split wood, making it difficult. There was a major thunderstorm when we checked out & there were no overhangs so we got so soaked loading the car that we had to change clothes and shoes & make our way to the car again. Our experience inside wasn’t any better. As a person with disabilities, they not only had ADA rooms available, but we were booked at 2 log hallways from the elevator when we specifically requested close to the lobby or elevator. Inside the room, there was no printed information regarding meal delivery or tv guide. The bathroom amenities weren’t totally complete. Finally we didn’t receive maid service even when we specifically requested it twice. We had to track down the maid to make sure they cleaned our room and give us the towels we weren’t initially given. On the positive side, we liked our room, the air conditioning was perfect and we were pleased to see a larger refrigerator in the room. Booking.com should know more about hotels before listing them - especially for the disabled.

Breakfast and the evening happy hour food was tasty and plentiful. Fresh coffee and beverages are available in the lobby 24/7. The elevator in the lobby was out of service but if you took the stairs, you were given candy from the front desk (my grandkids loved it). You have access to your room from the parking garage (up to the fourth floor). There is an elevator near the garage hotel entrance. Parking is free.
