Prompt service by the staff
Linen on the floor of the first room assigned. And the bathroom wasn't completely cleaned.
Staff was great, nice to have free continental breakfast.
Drink machine was not working on first day.
offered everything we needed for the money - pool, breakfast, internet ... the mattresses were outstanding!!
The location is very convenient to airport and to my new job in Providence.
The breakfast area has pretty poor flow. It takes a lot of jostling around to get your meal together, and often there are no places to sit. It may have been a very busy travel time, so would be better during slower times.
Drunken next door neighbours, blasting TV, loudly screaming profanity in the hallways at midnight, fighting, bleeding up the floors of the hallways. Cops arriving and making it worse by flushing their car lights into your window for a very long time. And that is at midnight!!! Just when you are trying to fall asleep knowing that you have to get up at 6am. After a while I came out to the front desk and requested a refund for my stay, as I was going to move out and go to the next door located Courtyard, but the clerk (James) repeatedly told me "sorry, I can not do it" and it is while I was threatened right there by their drunk customer who agressively told me to "get back in my bed" while grabbing a chair in aggressive manner. Shampoo and soap were never replenished on the second day. For the toilet to flush, you have to stay there holding the handle all through the flush cycle, otherwise it would not work. And never-ever stay in the room on the first floor. You would be listening to the plumbing and water running from upstairs rooms through the pipes behind the paper-thin walls. I never wrote hotel review, especially negative one before. Well, guess there is always the first. The place is horrible, avoid at all costs.
BREAKFAST - SHOULD HAVE EGG, BACON AND SAUSAGE FOR BREAKFAST.
It was a good stay.
Needs a bit of air freshener in the hallways.
Friendly staffs. Fast Wifi. Clean Room, Nice Location, Wonderful Breakfast.
Desk light is not working, but i dont need to use it anyway.
Staff were very friendly. Bed was very comfortable. The included breakfast was good. GREAT value for the money spent. Location was also EXCELLENT for commute to downtown Providence.
Although the facilities were very clean, they are showing their age a bit. The bathtub plug did not work, so my companion could not take a bath. Staff were friendly, but didn't really offer a lot of customer service. (Called "hello" from the back room when we entered early in the day and couldn't really offer information about the events in the area...told us to see the pamphlets on the rack).
This was our first experience of the La Quinta chain and we were very impressed. The friendly welcoming email with weather forecast just before we arrived was a lovely touch and useful for planning our trip. The facilities were very good, with comfortable beds, a very good self-serve breakfast and swimming pool, in a convenient location. Best of all, the staff were very personable, efficient and helpful, at any hour of the day or night. We had a lovely stay and felt that La Quinta represented excellent value for money. In many respects it suited our needs far better than a more expensive hotel in downtown Providence, and it cost less for 5 nights at La Quinta than for 2 nights at this other hotel! I would definitely stay there again & heartily recommend it to anyone.
While the overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, the bath tub in our room had a little mold and the basin was cracked. (The rest of our room was kept spotlessly clean, as were all communal areas.) The only other criticism I would have is that the hotel is situated in an industrial area with few amenities within walking distance. In fact, I took my life in my hands trying to cross the street to Dunkin' Donuts! You definitely need a car to get around. Having said that, the location is very convenient for Providence airport, Boston and anywhere in Rhode Island if you do have a car. And there's an airport shuttle bus that seems to run frequently.
Location, size of rooms, amenities
Room on the high speed rail line between New York and Boston, too many children
Location Size of the room Good breakfast Parking
Carpets need a good scrub Room cleaning staff to be more courteous
the breakfast was good
the housekeeper did not change the linens she fixed the sameones that were in the room.
The breakfast, the pool, everything about the room.
The elevators were very slow to move and to open.
nothing around the hotel
Clean, comfortable, great breakfast, wi-fi, just a drive away from great towns and beaches (location). All-around nice hotel.
Rude, loud front-desk lady
Was only there for a night, had a quick check-in and check-out. Enjoyed (part of- see dislikes) the complimentary breakfast.
One gentleman in particular who was working the breakfast on Saturday morning was especially rude. There was an issue with a younger child who he told to "get out" because she didn't have shoes on (which come to find out, she had left in their old room, because they had to switch due to a tub that wouldn't drain). Besides that he had no manners, got in front of me multiple times with no "excuse me" and just didn't seem like he enjoyed his job. I worked in hospitality for 2 1/2 years, there are certainly ways to go about interacting with your guests. It seemed like he would have rather been anywhere, expect for there; gave the hotel a bad name, in my opinion.
The soaking wet carpet and mold smell in our room Leaking garbage bags in the hallway leaking all over the floor Disgusting floors Not clean at all Lack of concern from the staff
Was only fourty minutes from popular beaches, and ten minutes from providence where there are fun restaurants and bars to visit. The staff at hotel were kind and helpful.
The water smelt odd in shower, were a couple hairs previous to using the shower!!! And you can hear EVERYTHING from other rooms !!
It was convenient and the staff was great, especially Marcy at the reception desk
