I liked the memory of staying in this property 25 years ago as young airline pilot.
Out of the there nights we stayed there, one day the room was not cleaned at all, and one not cleaned very much. From the perspective of 4000 plus nights in hotels.....25 percentile.
Continental breakfast and cheap.
Dirty room, loud neighbors, dirty linen, shower didnt work, and hair all over the floor.
Bed was best part and it was just ok.
I have had good luck with La Quintas, but this place was dirty, had to change rooms because the heater did not work which seemed like an annoyance to the staff, and breakfast was misnamed (coffee was a 1 out of 10).
The check in staff wasn't very polite when I was having difficulty with my key. Instead of being helpful she implied I didn't know how to use the key when the door did not open. Also, they play really loud and annoying jungle type screeching to discourage birds. The horrible screeching woke me twice.
Our room was clean and I liked that the hotel was off the expressway :)
There is nothing good about this hotel.
This was the worst la quinta I stayed in. The rooms gets cleaned every 3 days. The romps smell. Staff have bad attitude. Tried to call the front office to get a taxi, no one answered for 15 mintues. Worse then any inns or motel s.
pan-handler outside my door
Bath tub drain took a very long time to drain.
Breakfast Facilities Bathroom Expensive-----------------------------
My room wasn't thoroughly cleaned. There was hair in my bathtub. The room smelled like cat pee. You could clearly hear every single person walking & talking past my room. I didn't get any sleep. Breakfast was completely disorganized. By 8:30 am they had run out of coffee and orange juice. The plates were in one corner of the room, the utensils in another. The toaster was hidden around a wall, nowhere near the bread. There was no logic. I spent a long time just walking in circles.
I liked the comforter
We slept right outside where the speaker was for the birds. Horrible!!! Hated waking up to that. Sometimes couldn't fall asleep because of that. Also hoped for a mini fridge. Had to keep walking to the gas station for drinks because there wasn't one and the vending machine was out of order
The staff was great. Friendly. And helped me change my room when I needed to. They told me a lot about Austin as well.
My initial room was saturated with cig smoke There was a loud dryer/blower running when I popped in with ashes on the floor and smelled of cogarettes. But they moved me right away
Upon arrival I was concerned about the cleanliness of the bathroom. The sink was dirty. So I felt if that was not clean nothing else was. I had Clorox wipes with me so I touched it up myself.
Hotel staff very helpful and friendly.
The barking dog in the room next-door , The hotel staff was unwilling to service my needs!
I didn't like that the tub was stained and that there wasn't any wash clothes available. It was raining so instead of walking to the lobby in the rain to ask for one, we showered with towels.
It was too expensive for what they offered nd comfort was very poor.
We had 2 rooms and they were both not clean and filthy. Our beds had clearly not been washed and had been remade from the previous bedding. There was trash under our beds and hair in the shower. I cannot believe how much we paid the sleep in these disgusting rooms.
bed and internet and restroom good
Room smelled moldy and when go barefoot in room only had black stuff on our feet. Had to wipe feet off to go to bed and carpet moist in places. Smells bad. Doors not good sound barrier, could hear every noise in hall way and many in other rooms talking.
bed is comfortable
Good location and value for a visit to Austin
Breakfast ran out around 9:30 We were double booked upon arrival and almost didn't get a room - had to stay in a room in maintenance.
There was no soap or extra blanket in the room. There was a dirty towel hanging in the bathroom from a previous guest. breakfast ended a bit too early.
Pricing wasn't what I was quoted online and when I tried to show the confirmation prices with taxes included, I was given a snide response that I was wrong. Not to mention a/c issues and tv issues which we were told to wait it out as see if they get better. As a former hospitality employee for many years, I was open and forgiving at first but even I knew what was acceptable..
The parking lot was not well lit.
