Score from 205 reviews Very good
Very dirty and bad smells, the faucet would only run very hot water, the commode would not flush, and the shower had terrible soap products and was like warm and the controls would not easily adjust.
Location was great with easy access to rest of Austin and airport.
The bathtub/shower drained very, very Slow. Noisy barking dog in next-door room. Spoke to the deskclerk about it.
There was mold all in the bathroom. The entire room reaked of bleach. There wasn't enough parking, so we had to park all the way on the other side of the building. There were a lot of shady people here and leaving our car far away from our room scared us. Was not worth the money we paid.
The room itself wasn't all bad. For the most part it was clean, and the beds were comfortable.
I was charged for WHAT I thought was a double room? And only for booking.com and myself to find out that I was billed more for a room upstairs?? Which is a total ripoff!!!!! / I thought I was actually getting a double room with sofa/ double beds? What I paid EXTRA For was double beds and an upstairs room!!!!!!
The rooms were definitely clean as picture displays.
Toilet didn't flush at all we kept fixing it to make it work.
the restroom door was broken And wouldn't close right. Also no trash bags.
well after we checked in we all went to our rooms and when we walked in, i Looked On the floor there were crumbs. Also on the nightstand make you think about hiw clean the beds are... The breakfast area was very small and crowed there were people checking in and trying to walk through the area and i bumped in to someone we had to stand and wait on a table to Be available so we could sit and have breakfast...
The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly!
I had to request a blanket, as there was none in the room. Extremely noisy all night. Loud voices and slamming doors woke me up several times. I did not feel safe.
The women who checked me in at 9:15 pm on 7/13/15 was beyond great, the other staff members following her we're not so great. Not very helpful or courteous. No sense of urgency when checking out customers.
Great price and fairly decent location, convenient driving service for safe travel to and from Sixth Street.
None experienced Location too far out of city centre.
The comfort and cleanliness
just when they were cleaning the A/C. was noisy, but not too bad.
Hotel was nice
Cleanliness of room and some amenities were broken
Out of the there nights we stayed there, one day the room was not cleaned at all, and one not cleaned very much. From the perspective of 4000 plus nights in hotels.....25 percentile.
I liked the memory of staying in this property 25 years ago as young airline pilot.
Dirty room, loud neighbors, dirty linen, shower didnt work, and hair all over the floor.
Continental breakfast and cheap.
I have had good luck with La Quintas, but this place was dirty, had to change rooms because the heater did not work which seemed like an annoyance to the staff, and breakfast was misnamed (coffee was a 1 out of 10).
Bed was best part and it was just ok.
The check in staff wasn't very polite when I was having difficulty with my key. Instead of being helpful she implied I didn't know how to use the key when the door did not open. Also, they play really loud and annoying jungle type screeching to discourage birds. The horrible screeching woke me twice.
Our room was clean and I liked that the hotel was off the expressway :)
This was the worst la quinta I stayed in. The rooms gets cleaned every 3 days. The romps smell. Staff have bad attitude. Tried to call the front office to get a taxi, no one answered for 15 mintues. Worse then any inns or motel s.
There is nothing good about this hotel.
pan-handler outside my door
Bath tub drain took a very long time to drain.
Breakfast Facilities Bathroom Expensive-----------------------------
My room wasn't thoroughly cleaned. There was hair in my bathtub. The room smelled like cat pee. You could clearly hear every single person walking & talking past my room. I didn't get any sleep. Breakfast was completely disorganized. By 8:30 am they had run out of coffee and orange juice. The plates were in one corner of the room, the utensils in another. The toaster was hidden around a wall, nowhere near the bread. There was no logic. I spent a long time just walking in circles.
We slept right outside where the speaker was for the birds. Horrible!!! Hated waking up to that. Sometimes couldn't fall asleep because of that. Also hoped for a mini fridge. Had to keep walking to the gas station for drinks because there wasn't one and the vending machine was out of order
I liked the comforter
My initial room was saturated with cig smoke There was a loud dryer/blower running when I popped in with ashes on the floor and smelled of cogarettes. But they moved me right away
The staff was great. Friendly. And helped me change my room when I needed to. They told me a lot about Austin as well.
Upon arrival I was concerned about the cleanliness of the bathroom. The sink was dirty. So I felt if that was not clean nothing else was. I had Clorox wipes with me so I touched it up myself.
