Convenience and not over crowded

The hotel booked me a day earlier than the day I reserved. Luckily they had plenty of rooms. They did not have a fitness area either. Shower curtain had mold on the bottom of it. The bath tub needed to be refinished.

Price. Location was pretty

I got a smoking room when I asked for non smoking. I would have left had it not been for a very tired 70 something year old mother in law. WiFi service was pitiful. Carpet was wet. Mold or black dirt on the shower curtain.

Jill, at the front desk, was excellent. She took care of all my requests. She is the reason why my stay was so pleasant.

Price, large room, large selection of channels on tv, continental breakfast included in price.

Vending machine didn't dispense the correct item and staff couldn't fix the mistake, skimpy on towels and coffee in room. (Not a major complaint)

The cleanliness and the bed was comfortable

There fax machine wasn't working so they didn't have my reservation so it took me a long time to register

Clean, decorated pretty, good food, easy access to the highway, good customer service.

Sue, the lady from the front desk was wonderful. Whatever I was in need of she went above and beyond to make sure I had it.

Close to Dallas and an easy trip in to the Cotton Bowl via either the highways or back roads. Microwave in room was a convience.

Older TVs with limited Direct TV hookups.

Excellent value, good structure, helpful staff. All in all one of the best choices if you have meetings in East Dallas and you're on a budget.

Continental breakfast wasn't exactly up to standard. The pool was a bit on the small side, but wasn't bad at all.

shower was small and just as much water came out of the shower head ad the faucet below.

We found the rooms to be clean and have the extras that was appreciated.

It would have been nice to have an easy chair in the room.

The desk staff were extremely friendly and reliable. They helped us in our quest for good restaurant's, shopping mall at Town East, extra towel's for the kid's when swimming and the pool was very relaxing and clean. House keeping was very meticulous to detail in our suite both days we were there. It's location was convenient both to Mesquite Rodeo and Dallas/Fort Worth sights. I would highly recommend Balch Springs to anyone looking for a clean budget friendly location while visiting Dallas area.

Dirty floors on all levels, room not precooled, elevator out, sparse breakfast items.

Older hotel with some visible signs of aging.

Very nice king room, Updated furniture, bedding, desk made it an excellent room for the price. The location was quiet and convenient for our interstate travel - but as other reviewers have said, not many nearby franchise restaurants. But we found the one local restaurant at this exit to be one of the finest that we've eaten at in years! The food was incredible, staff friendly, and ultra clean. Well worth it, without eating at a franchise. All in all, the hotel was a great find and well worth the price.

The management needs to be aware of this more than anything - you can take it for what it's worth. The breakfast area and how they service it needs some simple, sane oversight changes. The space is large and roomy, but has only 4 tables for a maximum of 16 people to sit!! There's room for at least twice this much seating and tables - easily - and it would make more seating for more guests a simple fix. Then the staff needs to know the simple basics of.......making coffee! They made 2 urns that even the burliest of men couldn't drink on our morning there, because it made them cry. (Okay, they visibly winced) We couldn't drink our coffee for fear that it would put hair on my wife's chest - and melt mine off. The juice machine was leaking on the floor and it took awhile before the attendant cleaned it up to prevent an accidental fall from somebody. These are some no-brainer tasks that could be easily addressed and solved- with some supervision. Management - please go to work to make this simple problem go away. It's just continental breakfast folks. Coffee, juices, cereals, toast, waffles - and a place to sit and eat it. No university degrees needed to achieve this.

I thought the room was extremely clean and included lots of amenities( room safe, microwave, mini fridge, desk, king sized bed). The room was very nice and deign was modern. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very quiet and breakfast was included. For the price we feel that we've never had a better value in a hotel stay.

The only thing is the location of the hotel. It is not in the nicest neighborhood and not terribly close to shpping/points of interest. But... The hotel rooms are all ibside( through the lobby ) so very quiet.

Pretty noisy at night.

The staff was very accomodating. Very much a value for the cost.

Nothing, everything was fine.

The room was clean and the staff was efficient. Very convenient overall. The taco restaurant next door is actually quite good. Dominoes pizza delivery very quick here.

The neighborhood is blue collar with some urban decline. There are not many restaurants or attractions immediate to the hotel. I didn't have any problems with vandalism or crime related issues.

Very close to canton trade days for first Monday shopping. Very clean and quiet

Our room was very large, we had plenty floor space and the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and had extra chair and desk. We also had a microwave and refrigerator in the room The breakfast was very nice the next morning, I liked the Texas shaped waffles. We would stay here again.

The rooms were unclean, no exercise equipment/room, and the pool was outdoors rather than inside.
