We came a bit before check in and our room was not available. We went for lunch and they said they will call once it was ready and we did not get a call at all and finally came back at 5pm.We asked for a sofa bed to be made up which they said they would and when we came back we found the sheets and bedding outside the room on the floor. Breakfast was not very good and very strict on timing (shuts down immediately). No tea in the room (only coffee)
Reasonably nice size room

We had bfast included. First day (friday) we reached at 8:45, and they removed everything at dot 9 am (without even checking once that, if there was anything that we needed and that they will be removing the buffet. A head up would have been appreciated. And the next day, Saturday, there were much less choices from the otherwise week day stuff. They had reduced the variety of buffet.
The bed was really good, the location was pretty convenient, and staff was super helpful. Overall the stay was good. Recommended :)

Breakfast -- generous and delicious

Breakfast menu was the same both days-- the "weekend" menu. Kinda dumb.

Thought it could have been cleaner. All the corners of the bathroom were dusty/dirty. Feel like it could be cleaner.
You get a free breakfast.

Breakfast can improve, we were looking for eggs or potatoes, I know it's free with your room reservations but it can be improve!
I love the comfort of the bed. The rooms are so spacious, and how the staff was able to provide us with a crib for my son and it was a nice crib! Front desk staff and kitchen staff were so friendly and Tom the porter/bellboy was very nice so helpful and polite! I will definitely go back to that hotel!! Made a great impact on us!! We were happy!! Thank you!

The bed was a little too soft for my taste and the eggs tasted a little "funny".
It had all I needed to relax, get some work done, sleep, wake up and get to work again.

This hotel was not worth $300+ per night. I would have at least expected a teaspoon in the room to stir tea and coffee, but got only the bare essentials. Why doesn't this hotel have a deal with the parking garage next door?
The staff were helpful and friendly.

When we checked in at 4:30, they didn't have a clean room. They apologized and hunted for a room. They contacted housekeeping who told them a certain room was clean but when we got there it wasn't. So back down to the lobby we went. The guy at the front desk said he gave us a free upgrade to a room with a conference room attached. Huh? We didn't need a conference room, I didn't consider that much of a upgrade. TV in the room didn't work so I called front desk again, they sent up maintenance man to fix, lights on the desk did not work and remote for the TV didn't work. Maybe I should have reported these problems but I didn't care at this point.
The bed was comfortable

A courtesy shuttle to and from the airport is needed. That's the only thing I can fault.
Staff were so terrific and friendly. Breakfast was ample. All in all I old definitely stay here again.

I can honestly say we didn't have any bad experiences at all during our stay.
The staff was amazing! We worked with a Samanta every morning to help us get to where we wanted to go and she always had a smile on her face and helped us with a wonderful attitude. The doorman was great, breakfast staff was friendly and helpful every morning. Loved that they were close to many eating establishments and the bus lines and Union Station.

We arrived to the hotel on Sunday evening when all dinning places were closed. We ordered 2 bowls of minestrone soup from the hotel room service "The Italian village". Perhaps for people from Chicago this is normal, but for us to pay $20 for 2 bowls of soup (including tax, fee for delivery, and tax on the delivery) is overpriced! The soup was ok, but the bread sticks that came with it were more like wood sticks. FYI, regarding parking, the hotel itself does not have parking but guests can use the Poetry Garage next to it (201 W Madison St) and it will cost $46 for 24 hours.
This hotel is among the cheapest you can find in downtown Chicago with a great location and good value for your money. The service we got was satisfying (we asked in our reservation a room with a bathtub but our first room had a shower. we asked to change the room and even though we used the bathroom (that's what the receptionist asked me, and we had to use the bathroom after 8 hours of driving) they changed it to a room with a bathtub), the complimentary breakfast had many options (although we were glad if they offered vegetables too), the bed was comfortable, the HD TV was nice, and we were allowed to make our check-out at 1pm instead of 12pm.

It nice to be in a hotel where you have free Wi-Fi and not have to pay for it.

It was a short distance from my meeting which was especially important since it had snowed the day before.
