When we checked in at 4:30, they didn't have a clean room. They apologized and hunted for a room. They contacted housekeeping who told them a certain room was clean but when we got there it wasn't. So back down to the lobby we went. The guy at the front desk said he gave us a free upgrade to a room with a conference room attached. Huh? We didn't need a conference room, I didn't consider that much of a upgrade. TV in the room didn't work so I called front desk again, they sent up maintenance man to fix, lights on the desk did not work and remote for the TV didn't work. Maybe I should have reported these problems but I didn't care at this point.
The bed was comfortable
large room; very quiet
breakfast at weekend starts only at 7 and i was working and had to leave at 6.30
good wi-fi, very friendly staff, good location
quiteness, breakfast and free Wifi
A courtesy shuttle to and from the airport is needed. That's the only thing I can fault.
Staff were so terrific and friendly. Breakfast was ample. All in all I old definitely stay here again.
I can honestly say we didn't have any bad experiences at all during our stay.
The staff was amazing! We worked with a Samanta every morning to help us get to where we wanted to go and she always had a smile on her face and helped us with a wonderful attitude. The doorman was great, breakfast staff was friendly and helpful every morning. Loved that they were close to many eating establishments and the bus lines and Union Station.
useful for loop activities, but not ideal for other parts of Chicago.
excellent location for Lyric Opera, good wifi, comfortable room, helpful staff
The location, free breakfast, and the cleanness of the rooms.
The soft bed. You
No bacon at breakfast..
All of it
We arrived to the hotel on Sunday evening when all dinning places were closed. We ordered 2 bowls of minestrone soup from the hotel room service "The Italian village". Perhaps for people from Chicago this is normal, but for us to pay $20 for 2 bowls of soup (including tax, fee for delivery, and tax on the delivery) is overpriced! The soup was ok, but the bread sticks that came with it were more like wood sticks. FYI, regarding parking, the hotel itself does not have parking but guests can use the Poetry Garage next to it (201 W Madison St) and it will cost $46 for 24 hours.
This hotel is among the cheapest you can find in downtown Chicago with a great location and good value for your money. The service we got was satisfying (we asked in our reservation a room with a bathtub but our first room had a shower. we asked to change the room and even though we used the bathroom (that's what the receptionist asked me, and we had to use the bathroom after 8 hours of driving) they changed it to a room with a bathtub), the complimentary breakfast had many options (although we were glad if they offered vegetables too), the bed was comfortable, the HD TV was nice, and we were allowed to make our check-out at 1pm instead of 12pm.
It nice to be in a hotel where you have free Wi-Fi and not have to pay for it.
It was a short distance from my meeting which was especially important since it had snowed the day before.
The room was really clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful! They also helped get us cabs and tickets we needed, which for people who aren't used to the city was extremely helpful. I will definitely stay again.
Room was average. Had issues with heating. Got up to 95 degrees before I was moved.
Staff and location are excellent. Fun eating close by.
My stay at Laquinta Inn&Suite was excellent the hotel staff was very nice and friendly and when I come back to Chicago I am going to stay there again.
Good location for the financial district and also for the Chicago Lyric Opera. Very good value and friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast included.
couldn't believe 46 dollars a day for parking around the block
the room was nice and big, shower was awesome
I'm from Wisconsin I asked for a city view and they gave me a wall View they had two twin beds I booked a queen I was just very unhappy and it was Valentine's Day they ruined it there was nothing to look at no parking garage I won't be Going back
Everyone we came into contact with was so nice and helpful!
I do not like that you have to pay for parking.
The parking was located next door which was good
Good resturants close by. In walking distance from the train station. Rooms were clean and staff was nice
