The clerk did not provide information about check out time, breakfast,
or anything. I had to ask. Then, after getting settled in our room, we
found dirty clothes from a previous guest on the side of our bed,
behind a chair, which probably meant that they did not really clean the
room. I don't see how you can leave dirty clothes if you've
vacuumed the room properly. We went to the desk with the clothes in a
trash bucket. They apologized and the manager gave us 50% off the room.
They offered us a new room but we were too tired to move all of our
belongings, besides, that seemed to be the only problem. Well, at about
1:30 A.M., I was in the rest room and a huge cockroach came walking
from under the bathroom counter. I didn't have anything to kill it
with other than a towel, so I grabbed the towel and smashed it. I
brought the towel with the roach in it to the desk and asked for
another set of towels. The desk clerk apologized and said that it was
an outside roach and they don't live inside so he wasn't sure
how it got inside. I told him I didn't care about that, and told
him about the incident from earlier, and again asked for more towels.
He proceeded to tell me they didn't have anymore hand towels (only
3 were provided in the room). He came to my room with the towels you
put on the floor by the tub. I politely declined and asked for hand
towels. I just couldn't believe that the hotel could be out of
towels. I'm not sure if he went to another room and got the towels,
but he came back with hand towels. Hotel appears clean at first glance,
but it's clear they cut alot of corners.
The staff members were nice, the bed was very comfortable, and the decor
was modern...very nice.
