The size of the rooms and accommodations available, were quite pleasant for the price. Front desk staff was likeable and the location right on the sea wall was wonderful.
Little things, like spare pocket change and a Swiss army knife went missing from my bed side table during the day. Nothing major, just incredibly frustrating and doesn't instill much confidence in the cleaning staff. The bathroom sink drain wasn't functioning properly, and the dripping faucet meant it was constantly filling up with water. The auto on/off function on the AC unit was also broken, so the room was consistently at 60F.
It is a good visit. My family and I feel comfortable for the hotel beyond our expection. The sunrise of Galveston is so beautiful.
I liked the staff and the ease of parking. The breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and answered all my questions. Security was great I felt safe staying there.
I had a great room that overlooked the ocean.Room 202.We sat for hours .
Staff friendly, room clean and roomy.
Elevator out Breakfast
The hotel stay was awesome! I even had a question after returning home..left a message for the manager which was off the day I called and she returned my call a day later..could not believe it, for I just had a general question about something in the hotel...very nice lady
The only thing is that I couldn't stay for a month...hopefully next year I can!
We Liked the price and fee breakfast
The jacuzzi water was way to hot
The hot tub is nice, the pool was a little dirty. The breakfast was ok, and the staff seem really nice. The hotel was like top notch clean, but that's any hotel and they have a little gym too.
The vending machines were only soft drinks, if you wanted junk food you had to buy it from the front counter. Also the wifi, was super slow, didn't get plenty of towels like I had requested when I booked the room. They only have 2 washing machines for customers to use for the while hotel, and only 2 dryers. Doesn't make sense to me.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the LaQuinta West in Galveston TX. The rooms were nice, very clean and smelled wonderful each time we walked in the door. Not sure how that happens, but loved the smell! Loved the breakfast, always plenty of good food. All of your staff, from the front desk to the attendants were helpful, cheerful and busy taking care of the hotel and guests.
No complaints at all
Room was dirty
The style of the room The balcony Front desk staff was nice Wasn't too expensive Breakfast was amazing
House keepers were very rude Wifi sucked Washer and dryer sucked Pool was not appealing at all
No chlorine in pool at all! Very unhealthy especially for young children!!!
The room was clean and roomy and at night was quiet unlike some other hotels where visitors are allowed to run the halls all night.
Room was comfortable. Pool was clean.
Elevators were extremely slow. Breakfast area was miserably hot and when I inquired about it the desk clerk was rather rude and indifferent. We had 4 in our room and they consistently only gave us 3 bath towels.
The staff was great.
The staff was great but cleaningness was very poor. The restroom toilet was dirty with urine at the bottom. The bath tub had hairs and the mirror has tooth past splashes that I had to clean of. It was also very dusty. I just wouldn't recommend it. The pictures look good, but cleaningness is very, very poor.
The bed was very comfortable. Love the shower water pressure
We were able to take our puppy with us and he did wonderful. Everyone was very nice and the rooms were clean.
This motel was close to Moody Gardens and it was easy to find my way around town.
Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to see everything I would like to have seen so I guess I'll have to make another trip to Galveston.
Location. Nice staff.
Facility in poor repair.
the location and the staff
there was nothing I didn't like
Should not allow pets!! Dogs were everywhere. The carpets were dirty. Probably from allowing pets. The pool was dirty. Breakfast was chaotic and not kept clean. After booking my reservations and given a total. I was charged over $100 more called taxes. My reservations had said total price. So I am not happy about the extra $100 I was charged. I will never come back. I could have stayed in a much nicer hotel for the money I paid here.
Staff was nice, rooms were clean, location was ok
Wifi was horrible. I had to login each time I left the room. Even if I went to the lobby. Because I had to take the elevator. The connection was poor. The carpet in the room felt slimy. It needed a good shampoo!
When we arrived the dead bolt on our door would not open; we went and told the front desk and he said it would be a bit. Note we checked in after midnight no one was there. My husband finally got it because we wanted to go to sleep, but he injuried his hand in doing so. His knuckle hit door handle causing it to swell up an bruise; which made the rest of the trip miserable. Next day told front desk our dead bolt would not lock and asked if we could change rooms, they never let us know if we could. Felt very unsecure with not being able to lock the door. We were right next to the staircase and the door at the bottom was open where anyone without door card could come right in. Very displeased and will never stay nor recommend anyone else to stay there. Also there was a dead roach on the floor when we went to eat the breakfast which consisted of not much at 7:00 am
everything about the suites and the parking under we plain to go back next year and maybe sooner, thanks for making me and my family stay great, keep up the great job.
