La Quinta Inn Monterey  

My wife and 3 kids spent one night to attend a b-day party at Del Monte beach. Couldn't have been more pleased with the price which allowed 4 guests. They said everything was top notch. While viewing the area on google maps, we a noticed a portion of the recreation trail is right next to the hotel. Her and I are planning to stay in Monterey in the near future and the La Quinta is where we will book our room.

Location to Laguna seca raceway

Beds were uncomfortable. Breakfast was not quality. Unattractive grounds in one of the most beautiful areas in California

The appalling "service" - lack of - from Lyndsay. She was absolutely appalling. Your rating would be zero if not for Aaron's wonderful service and attention to your customers.

staff very helpful, very clean, nice touch to have newspapers available in the morning in the breakfast area and to have the weather forecast posted by the elevator

since it is located between a freeway and busy street, we'd recommend double paned windows

Missed a swimming pool.

Everything was super clean and the staff was very good. The young man was extremely friendly and helpful.

The elevator was pre war almost. The parking was a little crumby.

We couldn't rent a movie through the tv and options for tv was very limited

Friendly, professional, and accommodating staff. Nice breakfast buffet!

Breakfast was good compared with many others in California. With car there was easy access.

The city and restaurant area was quite far away and you need car to go there. The inn was quite expensive although it is not situated in the best areas.

The staff was especially nice and the room was adequate.

Bathroom needed painting!

As a frequent travelor I have tried to use La Quita'S. I travel almost every weekend with a son who plays travel hockey. I was most disappointed with this hotel. 1. I had book king room with pull out. Recieved queen with pull out. 2. Bathroom was dirty. there was urine on the botton of the toilet. Shower had mold on shower handle. 3. This was a no pet hotel. County law- However I counted 4 different families with pets. One family had two large golden retrievers. One family had small dog that barked alot. 4. I asked to have a late checkout- just two hours-but was denied. Receptionist was curt and was not helpful. 5. Reception staff were not professional dressed. One looked as if she had just crawled out of bed. 6. Housekeeping knocked on door at 845 on thanksgiving morning to clean room.

Clean rooms-Nice Staff and a Great central location. Close to everything in Monterey and Carmel.

The food was good but the eating area is a bit crowded. Not a big problem.

no microwave in the room there was this light right outside our window that made it hard to go to sleep at night.

Comfortable rooms and easy access to/from highway 1

Not within walking distance of any of the main attractions of Monterey and surrounded by main highways (although noise is not a problem). Photo on web gives impression of the hotel being on the beach. It is not.

Street signage not visible from the direction we drove into town. Therefore, inn hard to find

Inn is very dated compared to other Inns. Did not feel comfortable at location.

Location and friendly staff. Clean room for reasonable price

Air conditioning/heat did not work, tv did not work.

Room was clean. Breakfast was quite good! Location was fine for the purpose of this trip, in an uncongested part of town with good proximity to Laguna Seca Raceway.

Staff seemed unprofessional. Price was remarkably elevated due to nature of event taking place in town.

Convenience, cleanliness, very quiet.

Not a great deal of amenities (no guest laundry, limited business center). Price was high due to the event I was attending (Monterey Car Week) but that was universal in the area.

I left my computer charger in the room and the staff called to let me know about the item.

Generally we stay at La Quinta in our travels as we normally travel with our dogs, however, this time we did not bring our dogs. This was a good thing as this particular La Quinta does not accept pets.

Good Breakfast. Good room, however, a bit pricey.
