The hotel was very basic-no frills-but it was clean, quiet, and nice for the price. There was a security guard on duty who patrolled the parking lot at night.
coffee pot in room, not in toilet/shower area.
waffles in a plastic bag no fridge or microwave the step-in bathtub tub valve was confusing, between hot and cold. Then during shower, went from hot to cold.
Everything: location, beds, room size, expensive as much as marriot! It was our first time at La Quinta and We will never come again
I booked a room for an employee, and there was a problem when he went to check in; got a call at 4am bc he couldn't check in. His card was charged, which it shouldn't have been. Tried to contact manager for 3 days with no response. When the employee checked out, I asked him to get the receipt and scan it to me, but no one was at the front desk. I have STILL not heard from the manager and it's been a week already.
I was there for the ACL weekend and since the first day we found some weird insects in the room! We reported this to 3 different persons and nobody cleaned in 4 days! The dead insects were there with us through the whole weekend, disgusting
The room was a basic room with a comfy bed and shower. My needs were met
It was too far from zilker park. Not sure how website said 5.4 miles from Zilker????
I liked how close it is to downtown. We were able to take a taxi for only 15$ to rainey street.
The price was way too high. For one night we paid 180$ but that was only because there was a festival and a football game in town.
Staff was quick to check in since it was 10pm
Cockroach in bathroom and a large homeless population outside door within 50 feet.
old smelling room bathroom paint peeling air conditioner noisy took forever to cool had to go to what looked like alley to park 2nd floor walkway unsafe people hanging around$299.00 for Sunday Holiday NEVER AGAIN!
Location, very close to downtown Austin.
Pool was Clean Front Desk was Great!! Breakfast was on time.
Few breakfast options
Staff was great.
Appears to be an old Super 8 remodeled. Tub is a major step up to get in and fall to get out. Outside stairs needs paint at least. Parking around the pool area is minimal. At least the pools closes at 10 so the screaming kids stop.
They comped the room without giving us a hard time.
The ac didnt work well, it was dirty, and the cable didn't work.
I love how friendly the staff is at La Quinta Highland Mall location. They are always willing to help the best way they can. Whenever I look for a hotel in Austin TX this is where I try to book my stays.
very noisy. the highway next to the hotel is a hazzard you can't know in advance. Should I have known it I wouldn't reserve the place
The bed was comfortable and the room was decently clean.
Terrible location, outside was run down looking.
Bed was nice and comfortable.
Mexican resturant next door had a group of vehicles continuously hanging out and playing rap with the bass so high that it penatrated through the room. Hotel GM needs to talk to Restuarant GM and demand that any innapropriate noise be stopped immediatley. I would have confronted them, but was afraid I would have been shot.
The smell of smoke in a non smoking room. The air conditioner did not cool the room down.
Dated, free wifi was useless, exterior was not clean, couldn't park near room.
Convenient location and up-to-standard
would have been nice to have a fridge in the room.
Front desk staff was friendly.
Aged and dated interior. Band-aid from previous guest on towel shelf in shower next to "clean" towels. Deadbolt on main door didn't lock. Dead bugs inside picture frames. Pubic hairs in bathtub...
The workers were nice and friendly.
It was comfortable
No fridge as most hotels
Housekeeping & office staff, were very nice & responsive to my requests, questions. Because this visit was to rest & recuperate from illness while my home being worked on, the location, 1/4 mile away, worked well. Breakfast & Coffee Restaurant on same lot. The whole stay (5 days) was exactly what I needed to get well!
A bit noisy so close to highway, with large flocks of grackles on wires on property sunup & sundown. Tolerable though.
