1. We stayed there from 21-23 of November, but at 17 of November they have charged 200 Dollors. When we look at the bank count and call them, they said that it is only for a test. How can they test with 200 Dollors, and even with our call, they didn´t pay back yet until 17 of Dicember. If we don´t realize that, what will they do?! And when I paid my rooms, they made a copy of my debit card and even want my secure number. 2. Our van is tall, and can not go into their garage,so we need to park outside, but they charge the parking.
It was very clean, comfortable and quiet with a courteous staff. Our bus was 2 hours later than our checkout time, so they kept our luggage in the Office while we walked around a bit. Then offered to call a Taxi for us and did when we picked up the luggage.
No mention of no elevator and all rooms were on the second floor. I am partially disabled and stairs were hard for me. Advertised having HBO. According to office, supposed to be on channel 14, but wasn't there.
First off, I liked that the parking was covered. I also was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room & bathroom. It was all very plain and basic, but nothing was broken or dirty, and we only needed the room for sleeping because we were out doing things all day! To get to the hallway to access the rooms you have to have a room key--so even though it's not a "hotel", it's much safer than a motel where anyone on the street can climb the stairs to your room. If we go back to San Antonio, we'll probably stay here again.
It was a little farther from the river walk than I had hoped (about a 7 minute walk), but that's one of the things that made it so cheap I guess! I wouldn't have minded the walk if it was cooler and less sticky outside, so maybe during the winter months this wouldn't be an issue.
I booked this room back in Feb 2014 for my October stay. Smoking preferred room was given away, advertised Free Wi-Fi that was not available, Room was filthy, had to ask for toilet paper, hairdryer, hangers and the attitude of the owners was disgraceful. No double lock on door and an inch of space at the bottom of the door. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
Fair value considering other hotels in area.
No meal facilities except small coffee pot in office.
Location is good.
The rug. Replace the rug with tiles. The air conditioner is very noisy.
Close to Downtown area very accessible. La villita inn is very cozy and neat it makes u feel like you could go back to stay there. Garage is great to park your car and walking distance is awesome.
Decent air condition quality
Dirty towels Quality of hotel not good enough for such an expensive price; Continental breakfast should have been included for the price paid; Poor housekeeping; No lobby/seating area;
I chose this hotel because it was the least expensive choice within walking distance of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Once I got there, I realized it was also walkable to the river walk and to some good bars and restaurants in Southtown. So, I got was I wanted in terms of something that was conveniently located and not too expensive.
If you're looking for luxury, you won't find it here. There were holes in the carpet and bed spread and damaged tiles in the bathroom. The bathroom was clean, but it smelled like it had just been heavily doused with bleach. The sheets, however, had not been bleached, and while the pillowcases were clean, the pillows smelled distinctly like previous guests. This place is fine if all you're looking for is a safe place to sleep in downtown/southtown. Just know that it's nothing fancy.
Booking system is not good.first day I came in,they have to looked for my reservation, which they can not find.good I got my iPad.second day, clerk banged my door, asking for my payment, she is not checking that I already paid for the next four days.the first day should have been a wake up call .learned my lesson. Hope, they did not double charged me
Close to te Riverwalk and downtown Strong internet signal in my room Room was confrotable and clean
Had to pay to park the car in the hotel
Great location, huge room, friendly staff
The price (100 dollars a night) was very pricey for just a room (no breakfast)however hotels are pricey in San Antonio!!! Also no where to chill and/or even go the toilet after check out whilst we waiting for our bus!
i like that is a cheap hotel, close to the riverwalk.
in booking.com showed me one final price, but when i get there, i have to pay $15 dls more, which means exactly is the regular price, so i didn't a have any discount.
Changed my rooms to a smaller one
they gave me smocking room when i booked and non smocking. When i went back to the clerk he told me they didn't gave nother room available. After arguing with him they finaly got me in a non smocking room. After that the staff friendly.
The room was very hot, but a/c cooled room in 1 hour. Beds were very comfortable. Refrig. Door broken. Location was execellent and centerally located for walking to bakery, restaurants, FAmily Dollar, Goodyear store, and 6 blks walking to Hemisfair Plaza and Texas Museum.
Not being told $10.00 charge for overnight parking plus same charge for our visitors, if only for 30 minutes. Coffee available from 7am to 9am, but check out at 11 am.
Location is good
$10 Parking charge was not advertised
Cheap and convenient
Clean room, staff super friendly answered all my questions and printed out tickets for me. 5 min walk to downtown. Excellent value for money
No complaints at all
Easy access to downtown at a decent price, free wifi, free landline to use for local calls, helpful staff
More parking space.
No iron in room
Don't have anything good to say.
The top security latch on all the room doors were missing pieces. I booked a suite with a couch and wasn't not given one but charged the same. They did move me to another room but were hesitant because I was traveling alone. I was told the only access to the rooms required your room key to enter the building. One of the access doors didn't even have a handle, therefore access was available to anyone off the streets. The pillows had a horrible smell as if they had been used for the past 8 years since the owners opened the place. I was in a non smoking room and did not smoke in the room but was told by the owner to make sure I didn't smoke in the room the second night I was there. I was offended by being accused of smoking when infact I had not. I will NEVER stay at this dive again!! The windows are left open in the rooms so be prepared to shut them and they are hard to shut. They turned the air conditioner off after they cleaned the room on a day that the temp was 90 degrees out.
The street in front of the inn did not seem that dangerous even in the night. Within walking distance from the riverwalk.
The lady at the counter was not really... kind, and the air conditioner wasn't nice.
Friendly staff and very helpful. Good value for money.
Walking distance to El Milagro Restaurant. Straight downtown on St Mary's St to the river walk.3 - 5 minutes if you are driving, puts you right at the river walk. There for 2 nights....5 hrs max per night...a quiet place to stay. The price is more than reasonable compared to many others....
no smoking is allowed, but yet people light up in the hall ways....the smell stays....but the cleaning people do a good job of trying to deodorize...
