The place is beautiful and in a great location.
The toilet seat was broken, there wasn't much pressure in the shower and the tub wasn't draining well. There was no refrigerator or microwave. There was no complimentary Continental breakfast The drinks at the bar were very expensive.
Very clean, appropriate sized room and bathroom.
The bed was horribly uncomfortable. Desperately in need of new mattress. If two people shared the bed I would have been even more uncomfortable because it slopes to the middle.
The view was spectacular, the restaurant was really nice as well.
Checking in at 4pm was an inconvenience as we arrived at 1pm
This is a great hotel in a wonderful location. Everything was perfect with no problems.
quiet well appointed rooms, views, free bikes, friendly staff (except bar)
no parking other than valet; took quite a while to get car out sometimes
Dana point is a relaxed, laid back community next to a large yet picturesque civilian boat harbour.
I paid extra for a room with an ocean view only to 'see' the windows were half-height / small narrow things with heavy gauge screens. The better rooms are the partial ocean or resort view rooms with sliding glass doors and balcony. The ocean is still visible and actually, a much better value for money.
Beautiful Hotel with excellent landscape and views.VerY spacious and confortable rooms.'great bed
We Love the location, property is beautiful & the view is Great!
The air conditioning wasn't working that great in our room.
The atmosphere was wonderful and loved the live band!
Staff super friendly, Outside pool lovely, Food very yummy though expensive.
Wild kids on upstairs bar/deck area. Food and drink extremely pricey. No shuttle to harbor as advertised. Poolside bar and food shuts down to early and should stay open through early dinner.
Trees in the park across the street blocks ocean view
Bed was very comfortable, great view from our room. Overall, very good stay.
Air conditioner was loud, room was a little small for the price. Bathroom was small. Car serivce was a little slow when I went out to dinner.
Nice hotel for families. Food at Vue restaurant was excellent
Our AC unit in the wall was noisy for some reason. They attended to it as soon as we called. They were very apologetic and gave us a discount on the rpoom rate
Great spot, fantastic view over the bay, a nice sense of tranqulity. Two pools, one which suited the children and another for those who want something more restful. Staff great. My daughter lost her camera when we were there. They were very helpful in finding it and sending it back to us in the uk.
The aircon in our room was really loud which meant we didn't sleep well.
Almost everything. No words. Great everything, only beautiful memories. We want to go back to the same hotel over and over - kids love it!
There are some extra charges. Parking 32 per day, 25 registration fee per day and 2 bucks for something and so on and eventually for 5 nights I was planning to pay around 1000 I spend apron 1350 (including tips) - so instead of 200 per night I payed around 270. So be aware of it.
Second time at this resort. Came back as we could never forget about the place. The views of the ocean and marina from every angle are breathtaking, the resort very friendly and facilities top notch. The pool area is most relaxing. Starbucks set up in the bar in the am makes the morning wake up call worth getting up for. The main restaurant has a beautiful patio overlooking the ocean. Food delicious.
Resort fees of $25.00 / day makes for very expensive wireless connections! Then parking at $28.00/day is quite steep as there is really no other place to park around the resort located high on a cliff.
Our view of the beach was amazing The room was nice It was very quiet and peaceful Valet guys were super cool and nice The pool was nice Very nice staff. Very friendly
Surfboards, bicycles, included in resort fee was a great amenity... As well as the buffet. Great staff in restaurant.
Pool staff was inadequate. Valet seemed constantly overhelmed.
said wifi was free but put $12.95 in final bill, said free breakfast but gave no opportunity to use voucher, $30 extra there. room was not worth $475 / night
Beds were very comfortable. Although for deluxe double room, there wasn't a pull out sleeper sofa as had been stated in reservation. Grounds are lovely, great view of the ocean. Overall friendly staff. Housekeeping is very efficient.
Lots of additional fees added on to base room charges for activities that you don't use. Breakfast was not provided for all occupants listed in reservation despite initial booking which stated that was included. Only valet parking provided. Seems like they nickel and dime you for everything, which is unfortunate given how expensive this hotel is.
- nearby beaches and restaurants were excellent - kids pool and fountains - good gym
- valet only parking is a rip-off - over $30 a day leaves a bitter taste - for whatever reason management have chosen to do nothing about the poor quality matrasses if you have back issues steer well clear!
Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, yoga in the park, the spa! The convenient walking distance to beach, pier and restaurants. The pool and restaurant staff were very attentive and aware of new guests arrival, we were greeted immediately and attended to. I like that
Room near kids pool, too noisy to leave door open for fresh air. No vent or working vent in the bathroom. Also my card was charged, ( I made the reservations)when we told staff at check in another card would be the one to place all charges on.
False fire alarm sounded at 3:55 am and continued to blare every 10-15 minutes for the next two hours. Reluctantly offered free coffee to the groggy sleepwalking guest. At $400+ a night this hotel is priced for perfection. Didn't live up to expectations. Dissapointing.
Location was beautiful. Rooms were very nice and beds comfortable. The outdoor space was very nice.
The pool for older people had a ton of kids, granted it was July 4th weekend. This hotel is too large for our taste, although it was very nice.
Great views. The property sits on the hill overlooking Dana Point. Great pools with plenty of chairs to relax in. Great staff to help you with anything you need. Quiet.
The parking is $32 per day and you have a resort fee of $25 per day. The food is good to ok.
