Lahaina Bungalow

I got completely scammed by the woman who runs this operation. I cannot express how deeply disappointed I was by this service. When I explained that I was uncomfortable by the original place I booked and told her I wanted my money back, she refused to refund me. Then she said she had a different room to show me with a private bathroom like I had originally thought I booked. When I saw the room I said fine, if I can't get my money back, I guess I'll stay here. Later in the week, to my great dismay, I found that she had charged me an additional 120 dollars for the room "upgrade". Are you kidding? This "upgrade" had sheets that had been molded on previously, then cleaned and then put back on the bed. The floor was crawling with tiny ants. When I pointed this out to the landlord /owner of this "hole" she Still would not give me my money back.

Everybody was very personable. We felt welcome and safe and the bungalows. It was a great location for walking everywhere. Bedroom and bathroom was clean.

I ended up paying more than I expected for a three night stay. Seems I was charged more than what I booked.

It was awful! So dirty and nasty!!! Ever go back there again!!!!!!!!!

バンガローの名の通り一般家庭にお邪魔するような感じです。オーナーも一緒に住んでおり、みんなとてもフレ- ンドリーですし、シャトルバスの手配などもやってくれます。 ダウンタウンには徒歩5分圏内、スーパーやバス停は10分程度で着きますのでロケーションは良いです。 コンドミニアムでしたが、部屋全体は広いのでユースと違ってプライベートも保たれてほどですし、のびのびで- きます。 バンガローでは豚や犬も飼っていたりして、マウイの温かい雰囲気になじんでいます。一味違う滞在にするなら- 本当に勧めです！ キッチン、シャワーなど問題はありませんでした。ホテルのような清潔感を求めるなら無理ですが、インテリア- などユニークで凝っていてアメリカの家庭におじゃましたらこんな感じかな？と思いました。楽しかったです。-

I went to the hostel after booking. They didn't have my conformation. I showed them the email so the guy called the office. He showed me what I booked and said its not very nice but that's it. Then told me to try another hostel down the street. I decided after all that I would just book a hotel. I've spent 400$ the past 2 days instead of the 357$ for the 9 days because they don't help or assist you. I didn't think they were going to charge me and checked my account and they charged me the whole amount. When I called to get it fixed she was saying it was my fault and that I was lying about what the guy at the house said about the bed. I lived in Thailand for 4 months with no AC in a shack, this place was a 4 season compared to that. I wouldn't ever lie. She also said I was lying to get my money back. I just spent 400$ for the past 2 nights. I have never been treated this bad in my life. I can't believe they are allowed to run a place for people to stay.
