great location for a night or two
not clean, cheap matress, thin walls, the main common area was noisey after posted times and also noisey early morning the cleaning fee is a rip off because the place is not clean!
Create a space where we can meet with our local friends! My brother who lives in Maui was chased away by the manager while I was fixing him a tea and was told to go to a local bar to visit. I was embarrassed and my brother was insulted.
Location close into Lahaina Town.
Filthy disgusting bedbug infested moldy gross and for what you get, its way too much money. Never again.
I stayed here 6 nights and all I can say is, that it was wonderful and excellent! It's this cute house in the corner of Lahailuna street that has a nice courtyard complete with microwave, BBQ, and cooking facilities. The double bed-room comes with a double bed, and a bunk bed on top. It has aircon & a mini-fridge for your milk and stuff. But my favorite part about it is that it has your own personal courtyard where you can just lounge around and smell the blue tropical skies! Their shared bathroom has 2 toilets and 2 powerful showers so despite all the many guests staying there, you will always have your chance to enjoy the fresh, hot, powerful showers! Perfect after a long day snorkeling in the beach & hiking the many beautiful trails of Maui! The wifi throughout the house was fast and excellent! I didn't have a problem catching up on work and so on. The location is the best! Just across gas station 76 (Which has to be the cheapest gas I've seen in Maui) and just a few blocks away from Front Street Lahaina, which is the one of cutest, and nicest parts of Lahaina that you gotta see. It's also a few blocks away from Foodland, Mcdonalds & the shopping center. So if you're feeling hungry at night, you can just walk there for food! If you have a car, they also have parking available which is really useful in Lahaina as the parking here for me seems more limited compared to the other places of Maui. Some of the parking here you even have to pay! Although at least it's not as bad as Waikiki. And finally are the staff. They are awesome! They are easy to talk to, will gladly answer your questions, and even help you out! They are a joy to be with and deserve to be praised. Overall an awesome place to stay in Lahaina! Will gladly stay there again!
Location central to all in Lahaina very helpful staff no waiting for bathroom/showers great little courtyard a/c in room has a good hostel feeling a place to meet fellow travellers
Rooms a bit small, so get cramped with luggage if people bring big suitcases. Take bags that fit under the bunkbeds
WOULD DEFINATELY refer people to this hostel!Location, location, location was awesome! great staff room cleaned every day a/c wi/fi ensuite with full shower
I didn't stay there but everyone says its a great place.
- Great location - Great wifi - Helpful staff - Laundry facilities
- The website says they offer tours, but they really don't - I booked an all-female dorm but was put in a mixed dorm. It was immediately corrected, but it did feel like I was purposely done because the female dorm was already almost full...
The staff is friendly and superhelpfull, with lots of info about Maui activities. The facilities are fine, but improvements are planned. Definitely not a party hostel, but a nice and relaxed atmosphere.
The humming refridgerator and airco - but will be fixed soon.
I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm. The hostel is very close to beaches, grocery stores, bars and shopping mall. The location is great. For a hostel, it was very clean.
The room was very small, it was difficult to unpack your stuff. AC was necessary during nights due to the heat. That was very loud.
Shared bathroom/toilet , it ought to be separate men/women
Im a local traveling from Oahu & this was my first Hostel experience. I enjoyed the location & all around accommodations. The staff was awesome which really made the whole trip great! I felt like family & they took great care of me when I got injured. Mahalo Lahaina Last Resort team
Showers need work. Toilet wall door to close to toilet.
Location was great and very convenient. The staff was friendly upon my arrival.
Other guests in room were noisy and did not respect the 10pm quiet time.
Have stayed here many times over the years and am glad to see they are taking themselves more seriously. Looks like they are finally doing some much needed repairs
Co-ed dormitory rooms (two bunkbeds) in a very small space. Not my style.
The staff and the atmosphere there was filled with Aloha, it was the first place on the islands where I felt like a family guest rather than a tourist. It really helped me relax and it felt like a home away from home.
Staff were more than helpful
Martin was excellent. He provided nothing but great service. As well as, Jessica, who is partly responsible for how clean and tidy the bathroom and bedrooms were kept. Thank you for everything guy's!
Parking was a little rough during the day. This happened because there were not enough spots during the day. The lot was also shared with a salon. Which at night, helped with parking since the salon was closed.
Great hostel vibe. The staff were friendly and the outdoor kitchen/hang out area was relaxed and fun.
Nothing to complain about. A bit run down but it's a hostel.
hi i found the staff friendly and very approachable.i was very impressed with jay every evening he would kindly ask about my day.As a solo traveller i felt very safe while at the hostel.Iwould behappy.to return in the near future
I found the sheet very slipperyit would cocoon itself around you in the night and it got very stuffy and a bit cold when you had a top bunk.or maybe it was that im not used to having the air conditioner maybe an option of a thin spare blanket could be an idea
I love how clean quite everything was
Served the purpose and the people were great
I loved the outdoor living area and the ability to grill out, meet others from all over the world!!!
That others didn't quite understand that "It's a Hostile, so deal with the noise"
great location, close to everything even if you don't have a car
The location of the AC unit in the room was a bit odd - right on top of the mattress where my feet were, would make sense to reconfigure the room. Also when we checked in it sounded like their rack rate is was $79 (vs. $99 we were charged on Booking.com). The guy at the front desk (younger man in a baseball hat, who did not introduce himself) didn't seem particularly friendly. He made me feel like I am bothering him every time I needed something. Finally the washing machine is not hooked up to warm water, so you can only wash your laundry on cold, which raises some questions over how well they wash the bed sheets.
