Our purpose of Lai Nani was as a platform for our west hawaii business. It met all our needs, we were exhausted, and we would visit again,

Attentive service from gary & corey. Location is not too far from the airport which was convenient for us.

Had to find the location is not signposted and is somewhat off-road, also not on gps system. Directions could have been provided prior to our arrival to make this a bit more stress-free.

The grounds were beautiful and the ocean view was spectacular. Garry and Cory were so friendly and helpful in every way. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!!!

Everything. Gary and Corey are wonderful. The bungalows are private. The setting is peacuful and absolutelu breathtaking. Lai Nani is a slice of heaven and a great place for a romantic get-away!

Very beautiful property that the owner takes a lot of pride in. It is secluded and in a residential area but close to many attractions including botanical gardens and akaka falls. We only stayed one night and would stay again.

The Lai Nani is absolutely fabulous. It is like a private retreat. If you like the glamore of hotels, crowds, standing in line to check in/out, trying to get information, and being a room number this is not for you. The Lai Nani is very private and very relaxing with a beautiful tropical setting. If you like the hustle and bustle of trying to work with a concierge and buses doing tours, again this is not for you. Garry the host will help you with attractions as well as discounts for the attractions. He starts as a host and ends as a friend. I am from Hilo and when I go home I always did the "hotel" thing. Not anymore. The Lai Nani is my new home away from home. It is truely remarkable.

The only thing my husband and I didnt like was that we couldn't stay longer.

We would recommend this resort to anyone staying in or near Hilo. Gary is extremely accommodating and friendly. We didn't even get the luggage out of our car before he wisked us away in his 4wd atv and gave us a private tour of some hidden waterfalls and ocean coves in the area around his property. When he heard we were going to take a helicopter tour of the volcano, he picked up the phone and got us a huge discount. The room was very clean and spacious, and the view of the ocean is amazing! The only problem is that it's a 20 minute drive north of Hilo, so you do a lot of driving back and forth to eat and shop.

Our family had a marvelous time staying at the Lai Nani resort just north of Hilo. The grounds and facilities were immaculate. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful as it relates to suggesting things to do, places to go, etc. We will definitely try to stay at Lai Nani again on our next trip to the island of Hawaii.

The whole place is really nice, but it becomes less important when you are welcome by Garry, the owner, who makes this accomodation special. If you chose this property, you can be sure that you will get a very warm reception and you will be very well treated during your stay.

オーナーの親子　Garry&Cory は非常に親切で宿の場所が分からなかった時は夜遅くでも外に出て待っててくれたり、ヘリコプターツアーの紹- 介などとても対応が良かった。 基本的に放っておくスタイルの場所なので自分たちだけで過ごしたい人には非常に良いと思う。 レストラン等は近くにないのでHiroの街まで出るしかありません。 コテージ風の建物が２つあり、外のテラスからのオーシャンビューは奇麗です。残念ながら見れませんでしたが- 、Garry によるとたまにクジラが横切っていくのを見ることも見るとのことです。

基本的に悪くはないと思います。 場所は非常に分かりづらく１９号線を北上、１６マイルの看板があるところをすぐに右に入って左に曲がり、モ- アイ像（夜は目が赤く光っている）ところが目印です。当方は１９号線を走ってもナビで場所が表示されなかっ- た為電話で聞きました。こういう際に英語が話せないとこの宿は少し厳しいかもしれません。 あと、基本的に放っておくスタイルなのでシーツやタオルの取り替えはありません。必要であればこれも頼めば- 換えてくれるとは思います。

Unter Resort versteht man etwas anderes: Kein Zimmersevice, kein Restaurant im Resort oder in der Nähe Selbstverpflegung relativ gut möglich aber ohne komplette Kücheneinrichtung Trotz Originalität ist der Preis zu hoch

Los propietarios nos recibieron y trataron muy bien, te hacen sentir como en casa.

Das Apartment war sehr groß, sauber und die Einrichtungen waren alle funktionsfähig, wenn auch umständlich zu bedienen. (Separater sat- Empfänger) Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut. Und der Ausblick auf das Meer aus der Entfernung gegeben. Hot-Tube und Pool sind nett angelegt.

Es ist eine reine Selbstversorger Anlage. Kein Laden und auch kein Restaurant im Umkreis von mehr als 10Km. Von der Hauptstraße aus ist die Anlage nicht ausgeschildert. Es gibt keine Hinweisschilder auf die Anlage. Der Zugang zum Meer ist nur über eine Autofahrt von einigen Minuten über einen winzigen Strand möglich. Insgesamt stimmt das Preis- /Leistungsverhältnis nur bedingt.

Das Resort ist wunderschön gelegen und hat nebst einer Traumaussicht auch einen herrlichen Garten. Der Bungalow mit eigener riesiger Terrasse und herrlicher Aussicht ist einfach umwerfend. Garry ist der perfekte Gastgeber, der uns von der erste Minute an das Gefühl gegeben hat, herzlich willkommen zu sein. Er kümmert sich sehr um alle Gäste und steht jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wieder dorthin zurückkehren.

Schöner Ausblick auf das Meer. Sehr nette Betreuung.

Pros= geographic situation, near Hilo and the bitanical garden beautiful view of the ocean= awsome large rooms near the pool and bath tube rooms are large and clean owners are kind

Cons= This is not properly a resort or an hotel but more like a family owned bed and breakfast place. the owner and his family are very nice but again the service is not in acquintance with what you pay and expect of a resort or hotel. The internet connection absolutely sucks. For this place we paid the same price that for the Hilton. The prestations were simply 10 logs above what we got in Lai Nani The place is hard to find if you don't have a GPS.it is not indicated from the big road which is 10 meters beside.

The facilities and gardens were lovely, owners were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and pleasant, view was second to none. I also love that they have green energy produced on-site. A delightful honeymoon spot or family/group destination. Thank you for your hospitality!

Lai Nani calls itself a "resort" and it is not a "resort". The photos online are misleading. The main house in pics is not accessible to guests. The owner lives there. It is very difficult to find the "resort" - no signage on the highway in a residential area. After two attempts, we had to phone the "resort" to get directions, only to find out that we had been in the area twice but without signage we could not find it. I guess that we had to call the "resort" was a good thing because we learned on that call that we needed to bring food. There is no food on the premises or in the nearby vicinity. Nearest food is sixteen miles away. There is a hot tub and a pool, no access to beach. The ocean view was obstructed from our room. Our room was attached to the owners' workshop. All dishes, including drinking glasses, were plastic. At $250 per night we found much better value and accommodations elsewhere on the Big Island. Overall a disappointment and we would not recommend it to anyone who is expecting to relax and be pampered at a "resort".
