I am sure the price we were charged had something to do with the fact that it was Americade week and lodging was at a premium everywhere. Never-the-less, $175 a night (+ 11% tax) is excessive for the type of accommodation. Dan provided some plastic plates and dinnerware, but I was expecting the kitchen to be better equipped (pots and pans, real plates, forks, spoons and knives, etc.)
The cabin was comfortable for 3 men (individual beds are a must) and had lots of potential. Air conditioning, stove, refrigerator, clean linen and best of all Dan, the proprietor, was helpful, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. It's almost like a hotel room, but you are still in a very rustic environment. A campfire in front of the cabin provided some cooking opportunity as well as a great unwinding time under the stars.
