Close to the lake. Comfortable beds. Great value.
Small and cramped table, beds, closet, etc. Breakfast area was too small for us to stay and eat.
Stained sheets, mildewed bathroom, lumpy pillows, worn out mattress, non responsive staff when asked to return a valuable item we left behind. If an effort had been made to return our requested item perhaps we would we would not be so negative. But the facts remain the facilities are in dire need of renovation.
The manager was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The breakfast was very good.
The pool was and has not been operable for a long time, yet it is still advertised. The bulbs in the lamps are so low, it is difficult to see or read even with all lights on (and my eyesight is 20/20). The porch furniture is mostly broken. It is generally in disrepair.
The facility is in desperate need of renovation.
location to our fishinf location perfect
no AC in the room but after late afternoon didn't need one
Dirty bathroom, pool out of service, no seating for breakfast (only two chairs), outdated furniture and appliances, no A/C (room was uncomfortably hot)
Rooms had recently been upgraded. Staff was pleasent and helpful.
Heavy odor of disinfectant in room. Property is quite run down. No AC in the room.
The delightful manager gave us a warm welcome and went out of her way to make us feel at home. The room was comfortable and clean and we slept soundly with no disturbances. The breakfast was delicious with a great selection, including very tasty waffles. The location is very convenient, just across the road from the lake in this charming spot that should perhaps be called Tahoe Village, as it is certainly not a City! Aviva Inn certainly offers terrific value for money and is warmly recommended for those on a budget.
The place was in a great location for us. It was just my 19yr old & myself.
The room was dark. The ceilings fan/light was too high up to reach, so you couldn't use it to light the room. The other lights in the room hardly lit the place. A bit of a challenge to charge your cell phone as there was not a lot of outlets.
close to everything. You get what you pay for.
Musty smelling, needs new towels, better hot/cold water shower control, very thin walls. would not stay again.
pool was there but was closed.
I left one of my chargers in the room, had left the room for my next stay, called the Rika to ask her to send it to me via post office, she refused to even go get it for me and suggested that I call UPS and have them pick it up and send it to me...I had to back track 1 1/2 hours to come back to the motel to get it..she wouldn't even go to the room to get it for me...very rude..the post office was right across the street!!! would not lift a finger to help me...tho I was ready to PAY her for her trouble...
had a nice stay
We liked the location of this hotel in the city.
Cheap towels, soap, shampoo. No hair dryer or ironing board/iron. No real heat, bottom sheet did not cover mattress, 1 chair in room that your butt sank down into, dark closet with no light, very dim bedside lamps so you could not read unless you moved floor lamp around but couldn't find outlets. Pool not working.
I found all the staff very helpful
It had that Tahoe cabin feel.It was really nice and Charles and Rika were excellent hosts. We would definitely stay there again Great experience
Bathroom could have been a bit bigger and a TV guide would've been nice but we managed! Thx again:)
Risks makes lovely waffles for breakfast.
Excellent location. Safeway, two nearby malls and bus stop across the street.
The rooms are attached to each other by some sort of a room door. This and the paper-thin walls make the room unbelievably sound-proofless. We had the worst neighbors coming in at 1 am with loud voices, then coming back again at 4 am, turning on TV. We basically could join in their conversation! This was the worst. That's what we use a hotel, to sleep , right? However, although the motel is by the roadside, we didn't hear any traffic. The heating system in the room has no control unit; just works on its own at a standard temperature. When it works, it makes noise similar to a coffeemaker, but this never stops. In the middle of the night it stopped, so did the noise it made. But the night weather temperature outside dropped to 41 F (in May), and it got colder in the room. The bedside lamp must be considered to be an item of decoration; the light it produces can be compared only to a candle. The floor lamp is not working. No light in the walk-in cabinet section, which is basically a cave. And ironically you use the room at night. Only 1 table-2 chairs available for breakfast in the very small reception area.Another seating available outside. Breakfast includes eggs, toast, waffles and apples-which I hate in every hotel, so I just have my coffee.
Nice staff, tasty breakfast (fresh waffles, yum), lake view from the deck in the patio, comfy bed, clean room.
The pool is "out of order" and the "bbq area" is nothing more than a small grass strip without benches/tables or anything. There's a grill, but it doesn't look too inviting.
Large room, good location and helpful staff who allowed me to modify my original booking.
Heating system in room was a little noisy
Rika was wonderful. She and her husband are the owners and operators of the establishment. The bed was comfortable.
The ceilings are high so the room does not have the best acoustics. The shower heads are low, and the old pool could be torn out and replaced with dirt.
The bed was very comfortable and the price was reasonable.
Outside the room was dirty and worn. Pictures were somewhat deceiving
Room dark and dingy. Linen grey and tired. Construction workers stayed there
The location and view were nice except for the view of the green pool. We notified the management of the leaking shower faucet and they made no attempt to fix or to accommodate us for this inconvenience. Because of this leaky (hot water) faucet there was condensation on the floor, walls and all windows the entire 2 night stay. Manager came across as very rude!
sheets didn't fit the bed, lack of adequate lighting, shower head too low for an adult, water heater made noise 24/7, water volume in bathroom sink very low, room chair seat cushion nearly worn out.
I requested a 1 bedroom after I booked a 2 bedroom. She advised me that she'll let us know
There was a price difference between the rooms. Before we got a new room our cold water knob was not working. I guess they figured since we were going to move to a vacant room that it wasn't a big deal.
