No bad experience but a concern. Not sure it was built at a time to be very ADA friendly but there may be rooms that are. We don't need that ( yet) but always a thought. there may be rooms on the first floor that will serve these purposes.
Everything We have stayed there a number of times and will stay again. Well run business and good value. Not a lot of frills but a clean kitchen, clean facility, walking distance from town and parks.

Bed wasn't the greatest.
Location and kitchen

Noisy. I wasn't on the top floor and could hear people walking back and forth upstairs. Cereal bars, muffins and instant oatmeal for breakfast offerings....
I loved having a lake front room. I can't imagine why anyone would want to face the parking lot, but I suppose on a budget...

No bad experience. It is close to the road but on the Lake side that is no a big problem. We live in the country and are more sensitive to traffic
The facilities are updated and clean, the staff superb. Although it is a but of a jog from Portland it is walking distance from good restaurants, theatre, movies and old town LO neighborhoods. It is our new favorite hotel in the PDX area. We have a dog and it was easy to have her here. Formerly we stayed downtown when we visited or came for cultural events but it is a straight shot to PDX .and reasonable.

Wifi would not stay connected and it was extremely noisy!!! The dog that was staying two floors beneath my room and on the other end of the hotel could be heard barking all night!! Train makes a great alarm clock if you need to get up at 2:30 AM.
Location!! Absolutely gorgeous setting!!

The room was comfortable and convenient to the office.

There is a very small parking lot. They held funds on my cc for 4 days, even tho I paid cash :( Does NOT cope to Shearwater or Schooners Cove at the coast. Same hotel chain, Lakeshore was a let down.
Seeing the park and lake next door to facility.

Wifi service very spotty. Or would work for a bit, then be off for an hour. I heard other guests complain about it, too. Not reliable.
Nice, well-kept place with fair-sized rooms. Looks to have been recently updated.

What's not to like
The entire experience was excellent. We have stayed there before and looked forward to the same great experience.

The people above us were really noisy, kids jumping and running and dogs barking! Lucky for us, they were only there 1 night! Ask for the 4th floor.
the view was lovely and the location is just great. We were able to walk to Starbuck's and we could see all the holiday lights from our balcony.

photo shows off hotel better than actually is..
convenient to my location.

My only complaint would be that we could hear the people walking above us, so it felt a little more like an apartment complex rather than a hotel. I will say that I think the pricing is fair (We paid $89 + tax), but that is my only critique. Even though hotel/motels are used by many people, it is nice to have the illusion of feeling "secluded" in your room. Minor critique... Thanks!
The service when we arrived late (around midnight) was very professional, helpful and polite. The room was very clean and I was please with the bed and setting. I am a huge comforter and pillow snob... but I felt very cozy on such a cold day in our bed!

Families should be located on lower floors and couples above since it's a wood construction and noisy.
So close to everything Lake Oswego has to offer.

I liked everything except for the T.V. control which I found confusing. The very nice front desk lady came to my room to show me how to use it. Silly me.

Wifi was not working. I did not pursue it with the office because I had another option.
Location and friendly staff. Very attentive.

Loved everything about this property including the wonderful restaurants and shops within walking distance.

I was next to the ice machine, and the noisy area, so could hear conversation clearly thru walls. I mentioned this to staff so they will upgrade me next time. I thought that was a nice touch.
I used to live just around the corner from here, so I love being right on the lake. The balconies allow you to see the boats and the ducks, or even the farmers market if it is a weekend. The staff was very friendly, and when I did have an appt I was happy to go for a walk or chill on the balcony.

My only suggestion is add shelf in bathroom for toiletries.

When I went to sleep I wanted the overhead fan but not the overhead light. Could not figure out the remote as it is not labeled. I called front desk and he had no idea. I decided to open high window but to get airflow, I was stuck with outside light in stairwell. A morning check with front desk told me how to use the remote. Simple really but messed up my night's sleep. I was disappointed that the fridge did not have a freezer as I bought more ice cream than I could eat. The shampoo dispenser would not dispense shampoo (room 35).
Loved the balcony with great view of lake. Confused by the large step out of the room onto the balcony. It makes it awkward. We figured it could be to keep water out of the room from the exposed balcony. Staff was so helpful when I was looking for a restaurant and a better way out of town. The front desk staff printed me MapQuest directions to take with me.
