Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff at front desk (other than one person) was SO accommodating and friendly.
Cost was very high. Not enough parking in parking lot. We were asked to park across the street. That's not so great when you've reserved two rooms (my parent and I each had a room). We were there during lacrosse weekend and there were several parties going on. Management tried to contain but didn't help much. The female I talked with on the phone (at the front desk) made no effort to apologize for the noise...just said that's the way it is during this time of year.
The pool The bed The bathroom The service The view Friendliness of staff
We had some difficulty getting on the internet with our laptop computer but overall it was excellent
The hotels has seen better days. Not really up to date
Clean, newer, large, cared for. The location near the heart of town and the Lake Placid itself was a winner. Food and shops nearby excellent.
Hallways were dirty and unkept. Elevator also dirty needed new painting and fresh look.the electronic electronic door opener also did not work. This place would be a gem of a purchase by some chain with bucks.
The location and staff were excellent.
The furnishings, beds etc were very outdated.
Great location Beds were comfortable after hiking Employees were very nice and tried to accommodate
general cleanliness was poor facility is in poor condition
comfortable beds a/c working properly great location
outdated questionable cleanliness, but bathroom and bed were clean smelled a like cigarette in our bedroom when first came in but smell went away wifi not working very well
This Hotel is just around the corner from main street, so if you want to check out all the shops, it is a great place to stay! The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are huge!
Indoor pool Fridge Big, comfy bed
The walls were paper thin. Could hear everything from kids playing the table hockey game down the hall to people peeing and toilets flushing in rooms above us.
Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable and well appointed. Fridge and microwave were clean and operational. The bathroom was nicely done with granite counters, porcelain floors and a jacuzzi tub. The check-in staff were friendly and concerned for our comfort.
Room was sparsely furnished for the size. There was some mould growing on the groute in the bathroom. I thought the cleaning fee for the dog was a little excessive, however the room was clean and smelled so.
Excellent location and friendly helpfull staff. Rooms need a good update.
The location was great. Wifi was the first with a strong signal.
Furniture was outdated, unclean with noticeable stains on the armchair. under the couch wasn't cleaned or vacuumed. The Jacuzzi wasn't clean as the jets had black and dark stains in them. They need to be brushed out. The furniture is badly outdated. And the CS rep we got the day we arrived wouldn't check us in early due to "hotel policy" yet as we were leaving, a couple checking in that day we able to get a room by noon, while we had to wait until 3pm on our 12pm arrival after camping, stinking and tired. Good thing there was a cinema in town. Flexibility will certainly draw more customers.
Black mold was growing around bath tub on caulk.
Location, staff, restaurant
Needs some updating and more thorough vaccuming.
Proximity to downtown, view of lake, pet-friendly.
Shower was dirty, parking was insufficient, housekeeping was rude.
Mirrors in bathroom too high. Single switch for both light and fan.
Great location and cleanliness were the two most important things for us.
The bathroom lighting was dim. No remote when we first got there. Not anything that was a big deal.
the rooms were pretty -beds were very comfortable . refrigerators in rooms were nice.
rugs were filthy, fruit flies in the bathroom and someones dirty towels in the closet-sink wasnt clean.
We came in late on a Friday night. The room we had reserved wasn't available so they automatically upgraded us to a suite. They had a fantastic attitude about it and made us feel welcome for the full visit. Great location, excellent service. Highly recommended.
The room was very dark and dingie. We would have asked for an other room if we were to stay more than 2 nights.
Location is great
It's old and falling apart. Not clean at all. They are cheap with their amenities for the amount we paid. There's much better options in Lake Placid
Very dark room with no wiev. Vendor machines and Ice maker in the hallway just across our doors very noisy. Could not sleep because of noise
Excellent location, quick and easy walk to Main St. and all the amazing shops and restaurants. Older gentleman working at the front desk was wonderful, very friendly!
Very outdated, needs to be renovated desperately. The age of the rooms and pool area make it feel less clean than it actually may be. It was a place to lay our heads but there are many more modern places to stay in the same area.
Location is excellent, right at the edge of "main" street downtown. So convenient for shopping, eating, even taking really nice walks or ,if so inclined (like my DH), runs. Staff very friendly & helpful. Really nice lake view from our window.
Parking overcrowded (we were there on a "peak" weekend night). Outdated, grungy hallways & facilities in general. Room adequate, but nothing to crow about.
