Location is the only good thing I can say about this hotel.
- it is dirty. Dust everywhere, if you have allergies stay away - stinks. - Old, needs an urgent renovation - No towels in the pool, you have to call front desk and ask
The hot tub was not working
Good price if you are looking for a place to stay right on the main strip. Restaurant downstairs was good.
Staff got in an argument right in front of me. I don't think you should do that in front of guests. Hallways were kind of dirty. Rooms were clean but there were cleaning supplies still left in our room and towels were old and frayed.
Location is good for walking to Main Street.
Facilities are warn a bit. Definitely could use some updates. I considered it a good utility hotel. Nothing special but got the job done.
The location in relation to the Town is exellent
The bathroom was horrible. It was so tiny that the door couldn't even close, it was pretty awful. There were no tissues in the bathroom or room.
Friendly, helpful staff. Elevator. Clean and nice accommodations. Perfect location, right downtown Lake Placid, walking distance from everything you could want.
Sometimes the other guests would hog the luggage carts and not put them back by the elevator.
Great location, fire alarm worked great, staff was very friendly, everything was clean
I did not like the fire alarm going off at 1am, the restaurant that was part of the hotel is not something I would recommend (did not speak English, or recognize the word hamburger), sink would not stop running, parking lot was extremely small.
Great location, fair price.
Hotel needs considerable updating. The pipes burst during our visit causing a flood of water in part of the building. The pool was closed as a result.
This hotel is located within walking distance of Main Street and the Olympic Center. If you are focused on downtown and the Mirror Lake area, this is the best buy you'll find. Unfortunately, there are not enough parking spaces in the lot for all guests which resulted in parking on the street and a $25 ticket. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant which was quite good and made it easy as Lake Placid was very busy and getting into another place would have been difficult. Although we didn't use the pool or hot tub, it looked OK. Our daughter had a room on the third floor which looked onto Mirror Lake which was more expensive, but in some ways larger and nicer.
Although I asked for a special room, we were placed on the 1st floor with the rooms around us occupied by young families in Lake Placid for youth hockey. We've been there, done that, so we understood the floor hockey games well into the night and beginning again at dawn, but, if you want quiet......ask for it. We also had the fire alarm go off at 2am which was unfortunate. I thought of asking for compensation, but decided not to. We had stayed here in 1989 or 1990 when it was the Ramada. Although our room looked refurbished, some others could be updated.
Excellent location. Staff was friendly. Restaurant was accessible from indoors.
Hallways were dirty. Kids from a sports team were running everywhere in the hallway on the 1st floor.
Space heater in room, severely outdated, fire alarm went off at 1 am for an hour or so waking the five kids I had with me, the maid was kind enough to tell all the hotel guests in the lobby after waiting for 30 min. it was because of flooding from the pool area, staff was rude.Expensive hotel.
staff was nice and helpful
toilet wasn't working, tap was broken and water ran fully all night, coffee maker and lamp nearby didn't work, fitness room was dirty and cold
the location was great and a nice view of the lake from the room. There wasn't much to the place.
it seemed like it was understaffed though we had no serious issues with our needs not being filled. I do not recommend the restaurant. Food was mediocre at best and the wait for the food was way too long.
Location was perfect. Friendly staff. Although the facility is due an overhaul it was clean and attempts are made to maintain what they have.
Slippery pool deck paint. Mattresses on beds were uncomfortable. Facility seems to need an overhaul. Parking spaces can be hard to come by but this is typical in Lake Placid.
The parking was not good. I had to drive around several times before getting a spot. It was pretty aggravating.
Location, nice staff, decent pool and hot tub.
Parking spaces very limited especially for a larger vehicle. Flooring and walls are dirty throughout property. Bathroom very small with poorly installed tub/shower. Bedding was stained.
Location is nice. Rooms were good sized. Family suite gave kids room of their own.
This is a hotel that feels like a motel. Parking lot was beyond full every night. Other lot sketchy, at best. On line phot of pool bears no resemblence to condition at property. Hallways not clean. Restaurant was poor.
location, price point and parking availability
chaotic sports teams that ran the halls but were under control by early evening
Loved the view from the room - lake and mountains
Bathroom, pillows. Very outdated place.
The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was recently renovated and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
A minor detail: the wardrobe had only 3 hangers. Would have liked to have 2 more, since we were 4 persons.
Value for cost on a holiday weekend. Location - walking distance to food, stores and entertainment.
Somewhat dated facility.
pool was cold no lock on side entrance door not what I expected
The location was good and the night manager was very friendly and helpful!
Mildew in the bathtub, leak in bathroom ceiling, broken walls, foggy windows and dated carpet.
the pool was very cold. too cold to swim in.
If they can't patch holes I'm walls well and finish with paint... What else is not being taken care off????????????
