Easy drive to boarding schools, short walk to restaurants, beautiful walks along the lake, fun options for entertainment like old-time arcade, train, and boats.
It is a simple place. Not the fanciest, not luxury, but you'll get a good night's sleep, and you'll have a great experience.
This place is footsteps away from the Mount Washington cruise line as well as the main strip on Weirs Beach. Room had two bedrooms and a couch that converted into a double bed. Nice litle kitchen with everything you would need to prepare a meal. Great economical place is you have small children and just looking to get away for the weekend.
The wifi could have been better as we kept loosing our connection.
Location to destination good; however, the Weirs Beach location is very rundown at this point and many businesses have closed.
The apt itself was older; bathroom could use an update; amenities such as towels, etc were sparse.
this facility allowed all of us to stay comfortably together and be able to take care of the younger children we had with us properly. we used the kitchen to its fullest, took walks and had lots of fun times nearby. we will recommend this to all of our family and friends and we are already planning a trip back to NH to stay at Lakeside. the staff was amazing and made us feel right at home.
Close to the beach, apartment, easy to get in touch with owner/ manager
wi-fi non-existant; floors were dirty, out-dated tv (it had VHS player); towels, while clean, had stains on them.
Not much to like about this place, actually hated this place. The only good thing about this place is, you can walk to Weirs beach, food places and shops.
- Smelly hallways and seems not vacumed for long time. You can see dirt, sand and stains - The porch/balcony are extremely dirty - Bathroom is so tiny, you can barely extend your arm without hitting anything. The door knobs are 100 years old, no they are not charming. The door bolt is like sliding catch, with door does not close, you have to relaly push it hard. The bath tub is half the size of a regular tub - The window A/C machines are so loud, we prefered shut them down than cooler rooms. - Towels are dirty with hair and stains on them - Beds are full size, so two adults can't really sleep on them - the buliding is a run down place - Wi-fi does not work - I called 4 times to have the router reset - their justification is, it is a free service. - Stairs are so steep and narrow, you can touch with stairs with your hands - I do not recommend this place to stay - The receptionist said, we are not going to have the property much longer - so they are just milking last $ out of this property - Absolutely no maintenance
The only good thing of the hotel was its location The lake view was nice
The dirtiest hotel I've ever seen in my life , really disappointed, As advise , do not stay at that hotel
1. Always ask the unit number 2. Make sure you are not given old apartment. 3. Never agree to staying in unit 7. Unless until it is completely renovated. To Booking.com rep: You were sent a detailed report about our stay.
Great location, the apartment was right in the centre of Weirs Beach meaning that once we had parked the car we could walk to all the local facilities including the beach which is great for safe swimming.
The decor needs updating. In the initial booking information we weren't told that we had to check in at a different location a pick up the keys there. A neighbour told us where to drive to to do this.
cozy apartment with a decent sized kitchen. Enjoyed watching the sun come up over the lake while drinking our morning coffee on the porch. Very short walk to a very small beach, and right around the corner from the boardwalk and everything on the strip.
no complaints that the management had any control over. we were in an apartment on the first floor and we swear the people above us wore cowboy boots 24 hours a day
The location is private and right next to the boardwalk. Short walk to the beach.
The floor in the bedroom was slanted. When you lay down your head was lower than your feet. The bed was also bent in half. Very uncomfortable. Time for new beds.
We loved the charm and character of the building. The beds were comfortable and the shower was large and there was plenty of hot water.
The kitchen was tiny in terms of work space but we managed to cook breakfast and pack picnic lunches every day. I would not tackle dinner in such a small space.
I love that it's on a small quiet peaceful road. With great view of the lake and literally 30 second walk to the boardwalk. Brandon in the office was really laid back and easy to talk to. The one young housekeeper I spoke to was very sweet. Nice front porch that we spent much time on relaxing and enjoying the view.
Everyone has a different comfort zone for the bed. I was in unit 3 and the bed was a little hard for our personal comfort so woke a few times at night. Bathroom is a little small but served it's purpose. Shower pressure was good. My daughter was in the double bed room. My son loved sleeping on the futon. We found a few sand bugs on one of the bed covers so she refused to sleep on it. The second bed was clean so she slept there. I am a housekeeper! These were not bedbugs!!! I checked the beds and they were clean! I found the same type on the beach sand! I did find a few housekeeping issues. Management can contact me for details if needed. All in all I would Love to come back next year! Housekeeping issues can be taken care of. The major issues did not exist. The goods definately out weighed the few small issues.
The rooms were clean and the apt was very nice. We enjoyed the front porch, sitting out there was nice no matter what time of day.We had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
We liked that it was located in the heart of Laconia so many of the places we wanted to visit were nearby. The AC's kept the whole apartment nice and cool. It was nice to have a full kitchen available.
The mattress on the bed was incredibly uncomfortable in both beds. The entire building was on a slant. Our neighbors were very noisy late into the night. (Their balcony was right outside our window.)
We stayed only one night. I would stay there again for longer. Superb location, lovely view of the lake. An inviting space, cool and clean and spacious. It is an old building but that is some of the charm. The furnishings were not luxurious, but clean and in good condition; perfect for a short family stay.
The stairwell/hallway leading to the apartment was *not* inviting, it had a bad smell. It made us very worried that we had made a bad choice. But we were very pleasantly surprised when we got into the apartment. There is only one bathroom, albeit a large, bright and clean one. It was fine for our family group. It might not be so fine for non-family groups sharing the large apartment together.
Very poor housekeeping. Cleenliness does not seem to be a priority. Hallway and deck are filthy. Grill area is filthy with beer bottles and trash never being cleaned. Master bedroom AC is so loud you can't even use it when you try to sleep.
Very clean inside the apartment, decorations, furniture dated but very clean and confortable. Looks really nice and pleasant once you get in.
No parking for more than one car, dirty and dated entrance, entrance carpet and stairs disgusting dirty. They need to clean that entrance, paint and change those carpets asap, it does not go with how clean and cute it is on the inside. Closets smell really bad as well, I did not put any of my clothes inside the closet
Pleasantly surprised at the condition and cleanliness of the apartment after the outside appearance.
The outside was shabby.
Very clean. Location.
Very old building. Clean but furniture was definitely "vintage". Smelled old and musty.
Older building enjoy the real feel of the neighborhood. Not a cheesy hotel feel. Location is great with alot to do nearby.
Nothing, weather didn't cooperate during our stay.
Rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly!
The manager's office is not in the same building. I had to drive for 5 mins to another lodge to get the keys.
Very clean and comfortable, with all necessary amenities. Excellent value for money. Not the most modern, but more than satisfactory
Staff were great and friendly, they were able to accomodate and help me with the parking. this place was nice and close to weirs beach which was awesome!
